"Is it heavy? They do look kinda chunky.". The Trapinch allowed Terra to reel it the whole way in, continuing to watch her with those strange eyes while it dangled. It was well within arm's reach now, and hadn't opened its mouth even a little.

The Trapinch's own gaze was meet with her own. "A little hefty for sure... But no where close to what Splash used to be." Terra states after thinking on it for a moment. "That or my arms are stronger... Might be both?"
Rod held firmly with one hand, Terra reaches out with the other. Mindful of that snap capable maw. "So... You and your friends are what's between us and that down there," she comments more to herself getting a better look. Fingers slowly turning the Trapinch one time around. There was a small feeling of relatability to the pokemon she has dangling.

There is a slow, methodical crunch of the stone in the Trapinch's mouth as it makes eye contact with Terra. It has decided that is its rock, and it is going to eat it no matter how exposed that makes it. Unapologetically hanging in the air over its peers. The nub legs have even stopped fidgeting. There is the faint clack of its jaw now and then but it doesn't release enough to drop.

There's a small bubbling of envy deep inside Terra as the pokemon's crunching reaches her ears. Lucky little bugger, able to enjoy the texture and flavor within the stone. After a while longer, Terra pulls the line over the cliff side sticking the handle of the rod into the ground before grabbing hold of the Trapinch on either side. She holds it up to look it head on.
"Are all of you going to make us fight our way through all of you? Or climb the walls down?" she asks a determined tone. "Looks like you're loving that rock either way," Terra adds in a slight humored manner.

The Trapinch glances away from Terra, and then back to her in mute admission that the intention was to be an obstacle. It doesn't try to bite her, even holding it by the sides of the head as she is. It also isn't giving that rock back, it earned it. That rock belongs to it now.
There is an experimental wiggle of the Pokemon's short legs. Yep, still suspended in the air.
"If we fed the rest of them do you think they would knock it off?". Stag called from her perch. "That one seems ready to follow you home."

The wiggling had Terra readjusting the pokemon, this time tucking the body under her arm. Holding it against her side much like a football or bag securely held to prevent squirming or biting.
"If they'll just eat the rocks we could do that. I only have one more jar of honey on me now," she answers thoughtfully.
"Else we'd have to go back and try to find some," she added before glancing down towards the snapper.
"Was it the rock or was it also because honey?" she asks it.

Several intense crunches and a thoughtful chewing expression later, the fishing line fell out of the Pokemon's mouth. "Piiinch!". It declared in a shockingly deep voice. Feeding it other rocks, it takes to them as well as anything, but the time it spends with those jaws closed over rocks is definitely shorter with the 'unflavored' stones. Ensuring all of them have a stone might buy 3 rounds to clear the area before they resume being an obstacle.

The time spent feeding the Trapinch, she had allowed it to rest on the rock in front of her. Giving it a break from being dangled off the earth. After the experimenting with cliff rock chunks, Terra seems to be pretty comfortable with the time. "Well, that gives us an answer on preference," she comments before looking to the chasm below. Counting the pits that were down there.
"It's better than no time to get through yeah?" she asks Stag. "Wanna help get some chunks for em?" Terra flexes her arms a few times before beginning to get enough to throw into the other holes.

"Yeah I'm down. Better then climbing the whole way or getting chewed on." Stag and Terra spend several minutes sweating and hammering on the cliffs to break enough sizable stone free. After a three count, the snap traps are munching away, and the pair hit the sand sprinting. Stag laughs as they put distance between themselves and the burrowing quadrupeds.
"Food is always such a good answer.". Ahead, a marbled square boulder blocks the end of the canyon, trees just beyond it. It is easily the size of a shed, and a pair of yellow eyes watch from the bottom of the stone.

It was still satisfying to be able to break off chunks of the wall of the cliff. A quick wipe of her brow with an arm to rid some of the sweat. Without really thinking about it, she picks the snapper back up under one arm as they throw the stones out into the pits.
"It still is surprising how many times that food has been a good solution!" Terra admits while laughing at that statement. Coming up on the large boulder she squares it up in the approach. She doesn't slow her pace, giving the Trapinch a toss upwards to free her hands. "Up we go... Hyup!" she calls out, preparing to take a jump to keep her momentum to get a head start on the obstacle before them.

Trapinch under arm, and Stag a half step behind, Terra vaults over the baleful yellow eyed just visible over the sand, and scales the striated stone easily with a quick lunge. Once atop it, the forest spreads ahead, far as the eye can see.
Laughing, Stag catches her breath after the sprinting and climbing until the rock shifts underfoot. Once, twice, it bucks, then starts rapidly into the forest.
(Athletics to remain aboard, Intuition to plot a safer course, and Command to attempt to steer. Only Athletics is required at this time.)

A few breaths in and out before Terra could speak out a word 'Wow' in awe. The sight was great to take in. Short lived though, as she was interrupted by the movement beneath them. Eyes shifting about themselves "Whoa!" she exclaimed, shifting her weight to try and keep her balance on the new ride. Legs stabilizing her, one hand resting against the top of the surface they were on. "Hang on tight!" she states aloud, keeping a secure on the Trapinch, and looking to Stag to make sure she was still on as well. 19 Athletics.

The boulder underfoot lurched from side to side, the rattle of chitenous legs below as the crustle moved with enough speed and weight to flatten small trees. When it was clear the riders weren't going to dislodge easily, the Pokemon took a run at a solid copse of trees.
(Intuition and Command, or Athletics and Acrobatics)
"Well, they definitely grow big up here.". Stag seemed to be loving the moment, hair wild and eyes watering from the draft across the top of Pokemon.

Keeping her body lowered, staying close to the top. Form shifting to lean into the motions. She watches as the trees whizzed past them, until she notices the gathering of plant life coming up quickly right in front of them. "Hey you big guy. What do you think you're doing?!" Terra calls down to the pokemon, giving it a firm pointed smack to get its attention. "If you know what's good you better change course!" Her voice holding a threat in it. Heading straight into trees definitely would be a bad idea. Intuition: 9 Intimidate: 22

The amount of force Terra has to exert to physically steer the massive creature chips at the shell its created. She doesn't have a good bearing on where to go aside from not through the trees, the crustle veers hard to the left, threatening to throw the girls off once more. The flying dirt, aggressive cries of their ride, and the grazing of trees has begun stirring the Pokemon in the area.
A massive wasp with three tremendous lance-like stingers hovers off one side of the platform, assessing the girls on it. It sets its weapons in an aggressive position and angles in to attack.
(M. BEEDRILL APPEARS! Athletics check please! Mega Beedrill acts on Initiative 35 next round.)

It wasn't her goal to cause the chips to the Crustle's top, however that was the only way that they hadn't smashed into a tree so far. Grunts made at each adjustment and gasping as she moves to stabilize herself again at the sharp attempt to buck the pair. "Oh... that's definitely trouble," Terra mutters out staring with a surprised face at the big lanced pokemon that had appeared and showed hostile intentions. Before a deep breath in to focus. "Let's do this." She grabs a ball from her waist and releasing the red beam. Lioness appearing and giving a small growl at the bug in front of her. "Don't think it'll like fire, let's show it some" she tells Lilly. The pokemon building up a blast and shooting it towards the giant bee. Followed by her trainer throwing a part of the shell at it in turn. Initiative! Lilly - 24 Terra - 10

The Beedrill makes a pass against he lioness, stingers whirling but she avoids. Rounding once more, it performs a cross shape slash and catched her center of mass. Pierce catches it with a glob of silk, and Stag winds it close, keepin the flyer near the platform, holding on for dear life.(Pyroar F takes 79 neutral physical damage.)
Ahead is another line of trees and what looks like a small branch of some sort of waterway to the right. (Intuition and Intimidate again.)

The first attack was able to be sidestepped with a bit of effort with their platform. The second attacking landing made her give a pained growl in her throat, though she still was willing to fight. "Good hits everyone," Terra tells the group. It was good to keep it from getting out of their range if it was going to continue the fight with them. "Okay, keep lighting it up girl!" Terra gives another command, while attempting to guide this wild ride they were on. "Not there!" she ends up shouting down towards the racing bug. Another attempt to redirect the pokemon. Casting another stone at the attacking stinger. She was more depending on Lilly to handle the aggressive bug as she kept them from crashing. Rolls Intuition: 14 Intimidate: 23

The second blast of stones sends the monster wasp into the trees and out of sight, with Terra's attentiveness paying off. Rounding three corners in rapid succession she avoids trees and water hazards both. Straight ahead looks to be a lake. The Pokemon doesn't need to be told, it starts backpedaling to try to slow its advance, but it is all downhill from here.
(The Crustle will begin violently rolling towards the water after your next action. You can abandon it, or attempt to save it.)

There was a relief at the bee being gone, though that was short lived. Due to the sudden downhill change in pace towards the water. Not good. Not Good! "Crap...!" Terra breaths out in a hurry, trying to think. "Stag, can you try to slow it down with that web trick of his?" she asks her companion before backing up to then sprint forward and leaping off the front of the panicking pokemon.
Terra's feet slam into the ground beneath her, throwing her arms out she prepares herself for the impact that is coming at her. Earth giving into her will as she shifts it, digging her heels in and making it harder for the Crustle to gain speed. (Terra is using Groundshaper to try and make slow terrain to help her in the attempt to save the big lad)
