After an uneventful several days, the pair (and their happy Combee friend) finds themselves entering the clearing to the Temple. Much like the last one, the area around is surrounded by trees. Unlike the last ones, which were fairly leafy, these ones are a lot more coniferous. It gives the surrounding area a different air - quite literally, the needles give off a strong aroma, which the leaves hadn't.
The temple is much the same as the one close to Kanadario, at least from a distance. As you approach, you get the feeling that the carvings, the runes, and the placement is all subtly different. There's still much that isn't recognizable, but it's enough to let you know that this is a different place.
This place, too, seems to be fairly deserted of activity, although there are signs around that people have been camping and doing things around here up until recently, so it's likely a temporary thing. Climbing up to the top of the temple this time reveals no surprises - there's no Axiom, no machine, no metal bird flying around... just a rippling wall like at the last one.

When they arrived at the Temple, Donovan immediately began inspecting the carvings, attempting to see if there was a pattern in the Pokemon involved. Mostly, he was testing a theory that he could find out what Type ruled this particular Temple before they entered. After a few moments, he shook his head and looked at Mica "Well I've learned two things here."
He gestures towards the ripples "The explosion didn't open the entrance to the Temple, it just changed something about us that lets us enter, so anyone going back to the other Temple won't be able to get in."
He looked back down and shook his head "And the second thing is I'm not so good at deciphering these things. I don't know what we're heading into"
Turning back to the entrance, he took a few steps forward before addressing the Combee "Alright little friend, we're about to go into there, and I don't know if you'll be able to. If you want to try, feel free, but if not, just stay safe out here, OK?"

"Something about us? Are you sure it's just us? That's a lot of responsibility if you're right." Mica took a moment to sketch the portal way, and the temple grounds, gnawing on the end of her pencil anxiously. Like the other temple, this was a sacred place, she really did hope this wasn't leading into getting beat up again. That really wasn't fun the last time, being a pokemon was neat though.

"Well, I have an idea on how to test this" Donovan said as he turned to the Combee "Well my friend, it turns out I actually have a small favour to ask of you. I need to see if only people subject to the explosion can go through the entrance over there. Would you mind flying through really quick? You can fly right back out if you don't want to stay"
He turns back to Mica "Since Combee wasn't there, then if my hypothesis is correct he won't be able to fly through the entrance. And you're right. It is a lot of responsibility if I'm right. But that's why I couldn't just ignore it and try to focus purely on the League like Des and Avani."
He sighed as he began to walk towards the rippling entrance way, stopping right next to it and leaning against the wall "Someone has to do these things. Someone has to try. And I think that someone is me....well us" He says with a smile

The Combee looks at Donovan, then at the doorway, then back at Donovan, varying looks of confusion and bewilderment crossing its faces. The bug circles around Donovan a few times, before slowly buzzing up towards the wall, brushing up against where the ripples are. It doesn't seem to be affected in any way by them, the ripples passing through the Combee, uninterrupted.
After a few moments, the bug type floats away to hover in more open area, instead of next to a stone wall.

"Maybe it just looks like a solid wall to Combee? He seemed really confused by your request... If exploring these places is up to us though, then let's give it our everything.". Mica nodded fervently before pushing through the wall of light! Another chance at being a Pokemon! Yaaaay~

As Mica entered the ripples, Donovan turned and followed her in, bracing himself for the fall this time, knowing his size would change.

The pair push their way through the surface of the temple, once again encountering no resistance despite the appearance. This time, anticipating the changes, the pair of intrepid explorers manage to stay on their feet, though it's still a little bit wobbly.
The entrance looks to be in the same vein as the last temple, but also... strange. Lines that seem to be straight don't necessarily go where they look like they should connect to, there seem to be a different number of pillars connected to the floor as the ceiling, with no discernable missing base, and so forth. It gives you a bit of a headache just to try and make sense of it too much.
Thankfully (perhaps), there are less confusing things to draw your attention. Namely a pair of Pokémon. One is a green bird, standing upright with eye patterns on its chest, the other is a grey horned deer, with lightning crackling between its horns and clumping around its tail.
The deer turns to the bird, with a surprised look on her face. "You were right, Kashi. But..." She turns back to Mica and Donovan, before continuing with disdain. "Are you sure about them? They look like but children. I doubt they could do anything, for good or ill. And you think they'll be able to release us?"
"I'll admit," the bird says, with some uncertainty, "It's not what I expected. I was rather thinking that the Seal might fall, not them just ignoring it." He hesitates. "I... think I know what to do, though." The deer gives him a look as the bird turns back to facing Donovan and Mica. "Yes. I believe I do. Regardless, I apologize. We have ignored you and your miraculous entrance for too long. I am Akashi, leader of the clan here. My associate here is Soro, one of our wardens. And you are?" Akashi cocks his head in the curious way that birds do.

Donovan attempts a wave, before remembering he's back to not really having arms, the sprout above his head wiggling awkwardly for a moment before he realized.
Taking a moment to bow instead, Donovan looks to Mica for a moment before speaking "My name is Donovan Fleur, an....adventurer I guess would be the best description. Did I hear correctly that you knew we were coming?"

"Mica LaBrasta!". The Bonsly declared cheerfully. "You're way nicer then the Lucario at the last temple we visited! I didn't even get through proper introductions and then I got beaten up! You're not going to beat us up too are you?". She asked with innocent ambivalence, waddling closer to the two Pokemon, taking in how much bigger they were then she was.

"Greetings, Donovanfleur and Micalabrasta," Akashi says, bowing back. "I knew you were coming, yes, in a way. I am one of those with the gift of sight into the future. It is vague, but I knew as this date approached that there would be those who entered who... would be able to let our abodes open once more to the outside world."
He nods at mention of the other temple. "I see. It is no surprise that you would be met with hostility, although I am surprised that you would not have anticipated that. You are not of their tribe, and they could not have foreseen your arrival like I have. I know that without my say so, Soro would have reacted in much the same way." He glances sidelong at the deer, who seems to have taken a sudden interest in scuffing at the floor. "So, tell me. How did you end up breaking the Seal on your own abodes? I will readily admit, that is the part that I am most interested in. I do so wish to feel the air under my wings once again."
"Why do you play at this, Kashi?" Soro asks, irritably, looking up from her scuffing. "We could just take it from their minds."
"You overstep your bounds, Warden" Akashi replies, coolly, "Unless they prove hostile, I will not look into their minds without their permission. At this point, they are guests. Much as I would like to not have to resort to language, I will extend the courtesy to them."

The Bonsly rocked back and forth on her little feet for a moment before Mica figured out what she wanted to say. The experience in the convention hall had been upsetting, but any experience worth having was one worth learning from. "It might actually be easier to have you peep, cause the stuff we have to say you're either not going to believe, or not going to /want/ to believe. The short version is we aren't from a tribe, at least not that I know of, and we aren't from a temple either. Your home I guess."
Tipping forward, she made a thinking noise and wobbled side to side. "One tribe's home was in the city of Kanadario, and after a big explosion we could go inside, but it was just us and a couple of friends. This is the temple near Xalibu, and we could enter here but the other Pokemon couldn't. I don't know how come. For a really really long time we could only see the outside of your house though, of all of em."

Donovan smiled as Mica talked but....was reasonable. He had been a little worried at first.
Looking around before finally looking back at Akashi, Donovan spoke "I'm guessing most, if not all of your tribe is Psychic? The last one we encountered was lead by a Lucario named Madine, claimed to be the daughter of someone named Shala. Talked like she was a big deal, and the rest of her tribe had the same predilection for Fighting as her"
He went to gesture, before once more realizing he was just making his sprout wiggle awkwardly "But that's about all we know. It feels weird doing this, but yeah, like Mica said, it might be easier if you just pull the info from our minds. I don't feel like being attacked for someone thinking I was lying again"

"Hmmm." Akashi makes a peculiar clacking sound with his beak as he seems to try and process what Mica said. "I see. Yes, I think it may just be simpler to see what you saw. Because I do not recognize this 'Kanadario' or 'Xalibu'."
"I do recognize the name Shala, though," Soro interjects, "An exemplary commander, a valiant warrior, and a worthy foe. I believe she fell not long before the end of the Last Conflict. It saddens me to hear you say that her brat has apparently risen to a position of power. She struck me as everything that her mother was not during the one time we met under... somewhat cordial conditions. I guess that Shala was a single fluke in an otherwise unimpressive line."
"Ahem," Akashi says, ruffling his feathers, "We don't need to get into a lineage-measuring contest, Soro. Anyways, yes, we are all Psychics here. That is our identity. And you are fortunate, because it means that we can ascertain the truth if you let us. When you are ready, I will begin." He waits for the approval of Mica and Donovan, before spreading his wings, and closing his eyes. There is a long period of silence, where he could very well be a statue.
At last, though, the bird opens his eyes. "I see. The world... is much different. You were right, in that it is not something that I would have believed had I not seen it myself. So many things that I do not understand..." He trails off. "The concept of a Pokémon Trainer, for one."

Mica plopped down with an audible clack on the stone floor to have a seat, immediately regretting it as she rolled into her side, then slowly back and forth. "Well, I only just started so I don't know that much, but I guess it's seen as a rite of passage? I always just wanted to be close to Pokemon. Where we're from either they don't talk or we can't understand them. Mine are practically family, but it isn't the same for everyone."
Among Mica's memories, which are distinctly picturesque in their detail, with not a dark corner to be found, are a great many moments where she is chastised for behaving strangely where Pokemon are concerned. Hanging from a tree branch by her arms and legs, with her Slakoth hanging from her in much the same position. Nibbling on her antlion, and rubbing his tongue (which he really likes but nobody wanted her to do). More recently her exploits with Spot, trying to put the little Ledyba to sleep by playing music in tandem with a Kricketot, arms wrapped around the ladybug nestled into the roots of a tree.

Donovan bit his lip "I'm not really sure how or why it came to be like it is. It's just always been like that for us. I try and treat my Pokemon like a family as well. They're my partners, my team, though I'm sure you saw that in my mind."
He looked at Soro and his eyes widened a bit "If at all possible, I would actually love to learn more about your lineage, and this Last Conflict...and really anything you can tell me."
Turning back to Akashi, he shrugged "I do wish I knew how to get you out of here, but I think it had to do with the combination of the explosion and the irradiated stones. But I don't know for sure. And the only person who might actually know....." His eyes grew even wider and he began to speak faster "Actually, she's the reason we came here. I wanted to warn you. Axiom. I'm sure you saw her in my mind. I think she wants whatever is kept in the inner sanctums of the Temples. And shes willing to kill to get them."

Before Soro is able to say anything, Akashi raises a wing in front of her face. "Yes, I saw that. I... am not exactly sure how to proceed right now. Especially with one such as that on the loose." He lowers his wing, beak clacking in thought. "I think that the best course of action right now, is to consult with my advisors. I have an idea of what to do, but it may affect us all in here. If they agree, I will come back and discuss things with you."
"You could wait here," he says, with a smile in his voice, "Or, I could give you directions to a en empty room that certainly doesn't hold a meeting of some of our children that I absolutely don't know anything about. And I certainly wouldn't know about them overhearing someone talk about your foretold arrival, nor their plan to try and find some way to either sneak out, or, barring that, ask you questions about what the outside is like. That would be preposterous." Soro just rolls her eyes and shakes her head.

Mica was on her feet with surprising dexterity for a pokemon made of solid rock. Three full circles rolling with a thunkathunkathunka of the stone beads at the top of her body before she was on her feet again. "Can we really?! That would mean so much to me!". She bounced from foot to foot excitedly.
Mica *had* wanted to be around the grownups and head what they were talking about because how to get the door open and this artifact thing were all very important. Young Pokemon friends though! Her own age that she could talk to and everything! ;//; Akatosh was the best!

A small frown formed on Donovans mouth for just a moment before he spoke "I guess that means that we can't go with you to the talks. Though, I guess it doesn't matter since you already got the information from our minds. Still, seeing how you all discuss things would have been a once in a life..." He trailed off for a second, remembering something they had said earlier "Ah, wait, it wouldn't matter. You don't normally use language, so you must communicate with your powers."
He nodded "Sorry for that. I would love to go to this empty room"

"Yes, Donovanfleur," Akashi nods, "we don't tend to speak with words so much as with our minds. It allows us much more nuance and speed. So, if you wanted to, I suppose you could sit in on our meeting."
"But, if you want to proceed to the empty room, go through that door over there," he points to one on the far side of the room with his wings, "then take the second right, four lefts, and then the immediate door to your right. I'll come and get you when the deliberations are over. I'll repeat that if need be, because you do not want to get lost in here. There are some who have lived hear since the Seal went up that still do not know how everything connects." After waiting to see if the duo needs to hear the directions again, he fluffs his feathers, and then begins walking towards a different door, Soro in tow. "I do hope you enjoy your non-discussion. Hopefully this will not take too long."
