The party ascends the mighty stairs leading to the iron-wrought double doors. The dungeon entrance seemed tame as an ovular building, small vines clung to the ancient stones. This was a familiar sight to all, as floor 1 was nothing new to adventurers. But this was the first time people went without the trust and backing of their own Familia. With danger always shifting, the divers were in for a fight. With the sun cascading over the heroes and their shadows cast upon the eager crowd to see them off, the time was now. Armor fastened, weapons holstered, and magic ready they marched on to enter floor 1.
Entering down into the halls your eyes begin to adjust to the lighting of the room. It appears to be a long hallway with sconces providing some light. With what you can see the hall appears to continue onward into a Y formation. The stone splitting off into two directions while still allowing some progress forward. As you inch on to get a better view a path off to the left illuminates. It appears to be a leg before the Y. The wailing of wind echoes through the chambers as the doors close behind you. The smell of charcoal burning seems to be faintly wafting from the closest left path. While the hums and footsteps of monsters can be heard clomping around in the further chambers.

Noe made sure to eat breakfast with his little brother to make sure Noir felt okay with Noe heading out with the group for the first time today. After removing every poison tablet Noir tried to hide in his eggs (hoping to keep Noe too sick from going out), Noe made his way to the dungeon, being sure to be fashionably late to help keep up appearances.
Upon arriving at the fork, Noe catches the whiff of charcoal from the left path. It's weirdly pleasant. Like dragon's breath.
"If we're taking votes on where to go, I opt for the left path. Fire's a good sign you know."

Darius spent the morning before the first excursion into the Dungeon running his monster through a series of exercises. Much like he would never enter battle without a sharpened blade, and he had indeed applied a whetstone to his sword earlier, he would not enter the Dungeon without being sure that Bayeux was ready for combat.
When the group does finally enter the Dungeon, Darius moves with confidence, the hard soles of his boots beating dully and regularly against the rough stone floor. He walks arm in arm with Isabella, as though they are simply strolling through a garden, not descending into one of the most dangerous places on the continent. While walking, Darius observes the rest of the group, intent on gaining as much information on each of them as possible. Upon arriving at the three-pronged fork in the tunnel, he holds his opinion, wanting to see what the rest say. Based on Noe's words, and what he had seen of him the previous night, it seemed the man enjoyed having the first word on a subject. And likely the last as well.

Isabella had joined her husband in training her monster, sending Morrigan through a series of harsh little gauntlets design to push her past her limits...Isabella felt a bit guilty about it, but she had often played her Zither till her fingers bled, so if she could do it, little Morry could as well. Isabella had made sure to test her Zither and make sure it was spotless before she headed out with Darius.
"You Noe what they say, left is the less traveled path" Isabella didn't even bother to hide her smirk as she said that. Eyeing Noe up with humor in her eyes, this was going to happen many a time. Probably for as long as they talk to each other. She held onto Darius as they walked, letting her husband make the choice in direction for them. He always took good care of her.

Rafe was one of the first to get to the entrance to the dungeon. He was up very early that morning running through training drills with Hasili, particularly sprinting drills. He wanted to make sure that, should the need arise, the two of them would be able to bolt to safety at a moments notice. He greeted the rest of the divers as they arrived and walked in the middle of them as they left society. Once the doors had closed, Rafe let out his Ponyta and rode with the group up until the fork in the road. After listening to some of the banter and smiling at the name pun, Rafe figured he might as well through in his opinion as well. "Fire sounds like a good choice to me as well. Walking past something without taking a look seems like a waste." And it will put off having to face whatever is making those noises out there, Rafe thought. While the rest of the party made up their mind, Rafe jotted down some notes of the trip until this point. Gotta make sure I get everything down, it is why I'm here after all. He wondered if marking out the entry way was really that important, but he figured he might as well play it safe. Agility training applied to Ponyta Experience training applied to Ponyta. Ponyta levels up to level 16.

Felix was up at the crack of dawn. This was more due to the fact that he hadn't slept well than being excited about what was to come. His little meeting with Giratina the night prior had left a general sense of dread hanging over him. He was supposed to be gaining the trust and respect of the rest of the party while simultaneously spying on them. He had no idea what exactly to do. He wanted to befriend these people more than anything, but they certainly wouldn't be too keen on him reporting their actions back to Giratina. Furthermore, he wasn't particularly great at lying in general, regarless if it was to a god or not. There seemed to be no way around it though. He would simply have to avoid situations where he had to lie, tell the truth as it came up, and hope for the best.
Felix brought out Lucky for their daily training. It was a harsh regiment, but it was basically the only one Giratina's men seemed to know to teach Felix. It was ok though. He and lucky had an understanding that they would both push each others' limits, testing not only each other but fate as well. As the morning progressed, Felix decided the time had come to move out and he and his little bird began the trek to the dungeon. Surprisingly, or perhaps unsurprisingly, they weren't the first ones there and it didn't take too long for the others to arrive as well (minus Noe, who was actually a bit late).
They began their dive well enough. Things were perhaps still a little tense as they still didn't know each other too well yet, but Felix was sure that would change soon enough. He pulled out his dowsing rod in the meantime in an attempt to stumble onto some shards. Giratina had gifted him a rather powerful weapon, but it was up to him to be able to find the fuel necessary to feed it. Presently, Felix was out of shards and thus it was prudent to be on the lookout for some. He did have some stones he could break into shards, but it seemed such a shame to do so...
They reached a fork in the road and discussion broke out on which way was the best to go. "Technically, fire's only a sign that something's burning," Felix said, replying to Noe's initial comment. "Whether that's good or bad is rather contextual, but I'm fine with either path." Usually Felix preferred to rely on gut instinct in situations like this and things always seemed to work out for him. His gut right now was telling him that a group consensus would be best for everything.

Noe waltzed up to Felix and wrapped an arm around his neck in a playful manner as he searched for shards.
"You're far more agreeable than I would have expected from a Giritina member. For that matter, you're definitely not what I would think one would look like either. Not horribly filled with malice, not so beautiful that you could get people to thank you for stabbing them in the back like me, but rather . . . plain. I think you're the only member of that ghaustly familia I could possibly stomach, ha ha~ . . . some offense."

It took a while to get over his hangover, and Raimundo had to put up with Xavier's teasing about needing to use his own hangover cure for once. He'd have to say that it was absolutely worth it considering what he remembered about last night -he had a good enough constitution to not have a blackout drunkeness episode, thankfully- but it did mean that he had to rush a bit to get himself ready while still having enough time to train up his main form of self-defense - his pokemon, of course.
Still, Salvador had been 'kind' enough to wake him up earlier than usual, and though he had been the grumbling dead for a few hours it did give him enough time to prepare before finally going to the dungeon. Complete, of course, with the quips from his friend about staying safe and remembering his advice about self-defense (Xavier) and a last-minute gift of a special shield and more practical advice (Salvador).
However, there were still lingering traces of that hangover, so he was mostly quiet for a bit up until the group started to debate about where to go next. "It could be just another sconce, torch or brazier. It could also be something else. Either way, are you lot willing to deal with fire and/or the unknown, because personally I don't mind either way as long as we keep our eyes peeled for surprises and traps. But if we must put it to a vote, then we might as well go to the path where we have at least a scrap of information."

"None taken," Felix replied, smirking and rather unfazed by Noe's antics. "There's no love lost between my familia and I," he said, bending down to pick up a couple shards he spied out of the corner of his eye when his dowsing rod gave a resonating ping. When all was said and done, he had gathered up 11 shards in total with at least one of each color. Satisfied that this would last him for the day, Felix turned his attention back to the group. "So then, the left path, yes?" He attempted to peer further down the path to get any indication of what lay ahead, but still waited to ensure group consensus.

Darius was pleased with the response of the group. It seemed they were intelligent enough to realise that without any more information, spending time thinking about the direction to choose would be a waste. That, or they simply followed a strong voice. Either could be useful. "Then we shall take the left path," he said, stepping forward confidently, Isabella still at his side.

Noe cocks a brow at Felix's response. Admittedly, it was reassuring that this wasn't a traditional Giritina member, but to have such a blatant lack of loyalty to your familia? Even if they weren't trustworthy, it was a concept that Noe couldn't wrap his head around. If he wasn't suspicious of Felix before, he was now. As such, Noe maintained his grip on the boy and dragged him along the left path
"To the left then! And no need to worry about traps my newfound compatriot. Darius here is always eager to take a blow for us, who sadly, are probably his best friends"

Encroaching further into the left path the path begins to illuminate before you. The signs of a door appear on the left wall. The smell of fire grows down the path, but as does a sound. You listen harder but cant seem to place it. The wooden door seems to be reinforced by hardened steel. No sigil's can be noticed around the door, no markings from previous adventurers. Perception Check to identify sounds Guile checks if you wanna unlock the door

Darius is happy to stand back and allow Noe to attempt the lock, letting him leave his own skills in the dark. Should the other noble fail however, he will attempt it himself. And, just as a good practice, he will attempt to identify the sound.

Raimundo, trailing behind near the back of the party, tilted his head as also listened for the sounds. He tried to discern where they were coming from while watching for danger. Perception Roll SQlPKWst4d6 And then after that, he would wait and see if either of the two managed to work the lock. If not and nothing happened because of it, he would clear his throat and attempt to do it himself. Guile Roll 4d6 4d6·4d6

Rai is able to discern the various sounds. Putting a hand on Darius shoulder as the tumbles fall into place his gaze falls beyond the door down the hall. Rai is able with his keen elven ears to not only figure the type but the distinct claws against stone sound is undeniable to this medic. It is a mixture of Teddiursa, and Lillipup claws. But it doesnt stop there. As the door clicks Rai's eyes widen, the low rumble beyond the door is not a poor pup, but is instead a Zangoose party just waiting for food. 3 exp to Darius 7 exp to Rai

To call what Darius did "lockpicking" would perhaps be a bit generous. In his time in Caens, he had frequently needed to acquire information that didn't always want to be found. And so, he had learned a method of getting to it. He did have some skill at actual lockpicking, but he found in most cases, with lower quality locks, a simply application of force was all one needed. So, with a small iron rod he had brought with him, Darius delivered a quick upward blow to the tumblers in the keyhole, causing them to indeed fall into place, and for then several of them to fall out of the hole to the ground.
As the door opened, revealing what waited behind it, Darius stood and drew his sword, preparing for battle.

Taking a cue from her husband, Isabella took a step back from her husband, pulling out her Zither and placing her other hand on the strings. Her hand started slowly strumming the strings as she looked at the creatures at the door. She may be able to lull them into slumber...but her husband had already stated intentions to fight.
"It seems we are already having encounters, barely a few hallways in and we already are making enemies" Her tone was annoyed, but she was expecting this.

Well, shit. Enemies at the front AND back. Won't this be something? He deliberately took his place back in the middle of the group and released Visenya, his Skrelp. With a small frown as he eyed the Zangoose for a moment before turning to the rest. "These cats aren't the only one coming to party. I hear the telltale sound of Teddiursa and Lillipup claws on stone approaching from another direction, so if we can all please group ourselves accordingly so that we can deal with them in an orderly manner?" He whispered to the group as best he could as he began to prepare himself. because I forgot to mention it earlier, Raimundo's 2 AP is bound so that he turns on his capability and bonus move. He also readies his normal shield for the moment, though he is prepared to switch if there's fire being tossed about.
Heavy Shield: +6 eva +15 DR for the round
