Noe chuckles at Felix's comments
"You really are a masochist aren't you? As expected from a Ghiratina member. I think it'd be best for us all to head back for now. We made a good deal of progress"

"Hasili and I took a couple mean hits back there. I don't think it's worth using up our resources when the exit is so close." Rafe pulled out his tome and started detailing the path to the Snorlax and the encounter. "If we think the resources are worth using, I would suggest we further investigate the door we skipped earlier," Rafe said as he looked at the only unfilled part of his map.

Isabella looked over everyone, they want to head back...before finishing a single floor? "We should at least scout out the next floor darlings, I for one don't wish to report to our patrons that we didn't even accomplish a single floor" At this she pointed at what appeared to be the way down. "It is just right there, we could just lower ourselves down a single floor, then make our escape. I'd rather not disappoint our gods entirely"
She snapped out her fan and began fanning herself, her opinion was stated, and her point was made. She was even wearing a smug grin as she was sure everyone would see the merit in her logic, after all, they could just abscond back after they looked at the next floor.

The party moved back to the mysterious door they had been unable to unlock before. With the red flags still being raised by Felix they spent some resources and time figuring out the door. With a loud click the mechanisms finally unbolted and Drallore stepped back to admire his handy work. Only instead of a treasure chest being behind the door, a strange glyph was encoded into the floor. The same strange glyph that had appeared on Snorlax's body. A wave of fear crashed on to the party. The literal fear of death sweeping over them but as soon as it came, it was gone. All that was left was the blank room and the strange glyph. The distinct smell of urine was definitely in the air, but no one wanted to own up to it. Knowledge occult checks for symbol Also I guess choose to proceed or regroup and tell your people you can indeed work in a cohesive unit.

Noe stares at the symbol . . . pretty confident that he has no idea what the hell it is

Isabella has sighed, not even entering the room when everyone else had. Intentionally lagging behind as a sign of defiance without actually defying anything. Being the very last to enter the room aside, she only felts the fear briefly before it passed. Despite the insanity of the pressure, she eventually gathered herself before moving ahead to the front, examining the symbol on the floor.

"Of course."Raimundo proceeded to patch up everyone that was injured, using quite a bit of his stocked-up patches to be able to do so given the extent of injuries with quite a few people. He was looking a tad irritated at the insistence of the group to scout out further floors given how their shit was wrecked the first time around, but supposed the Mrs. Deveraux had a point so he followed along with a curt nod after putting back his assistant into her container. "Just remember though, I'm already running kind of low on supplies from constantly healing peoples' wounds." Raimundo warned as he followed after, finally speaking up after the sensation of death washed upon them. "And by the way, the heals aren't free. I need money to replenish them for future trips. Unless you'd prefer dropping like flies the next time we fight anything akin to that Snorlax." He added dryly. "And with that said... what did you lot find out about that symbol?"Darius - 2 Potion Patches Rafe, Hasili, Zangoose - 1 Potion and 1 Super Potion patch each. Zangoose also gets a paralyze heal patch.

The aches leftover from their combat faded from Darius at Raimundo's ministrations. The elf seemed the most useful of the group thus far, with the possible exception of Rafe, his former errand boy. At his comment on cost however, Darius was considerably displeased. "One would think," the former general began, "that keeping us alive would be in your best interest as well, Mr. Zauviir. I think it unlikely that you will be able to progress through the dungeon without us." He spoke as the group walked back to the strange door, his arm around Isabella, who seemed less than pleased with the group's decision. "I do not charge for my services," he said. "We may serve opposite roles, but nonetheless, in requesting compensation, you liken yourself to a mercenary, a most distasteful profession." He had been looking forward throughout his monologue, but for the next statement, turned his head to meet the elf's eyes. "We will of course designate a portion of the party's earnings to buying medical supplies. This serves the group interest. But make no mistake: you are not being paid. You make whatever share you earn as an equal member of this group." That distinction was important.
Darius left Isabella at the back of the group when they arrived at the door once more. She did not have the patience required for intelligence gathering. It was her only flaw, and one he could more than make up for. As the esoteric entryway was opened at last, Darius felt what he recognised as the beginnings of panic. It was what all men felt upon entering the battlefield. The feeling of looking ahead, and finding your own death staring back at you. He crushed the feeling, compressing it with his mind, honing it into a more useful emotion. Darius smiled fiercely as he gazed upon this new challenge, the thrill of the contest beginning to course through his veins. "Dearest," he called to Isabella upon seeing the symbol on the floor of the room, "I believe our new friend could perhaps be of some use in here."

Isabella studies the rune carefully and thinks back to all her lessons at the family house. The memory is faint but she remembers watching the horses in the field while her teacher explained the runes of death and necromancy It was a cautionary tale about the dangers of dark magic. This symbol appeared throughout and appeared to mean revival.

Isabella gave her husband a dark look. Sure he didn't know what he meant, but the mere thought of reviving the beast sent shivers down her spine. She had no clue how that would go over, but probably not well. Not well at all. "The symbols are necrotic in nature, something about revival, if I were to guess. As much as I would like to have more power in my newly captured beast. I do not think it wise to revive it's power here"
She put away her fan, the seriousness of the situation making the urgency of looking presentable no longer an issue. This place could cause problems, Revival could mean anything, even making a ghost perhaps? She wasn't exactly prepared for risks such as that. Best have someone else take the lead into the glyph. Morrigan would do. "Morrigan, dear." This was a bad idea, but what's the worst that could happen? "Please touch the mark, if something happens, I'm sure everyone here will do their best to protect you"
Morrigan looked a bit worried, but slowly started approaching the mark. She would certainly make it if nothing stopped the her...

The room fell silent as Morrigan slowly approached the glyph. With a quick tap and run, nothing happened. The room remained the same. Its almost as the rush from earlier was the release....

"Very well," Darius said, disappointed by the lack of anything within the strange room. "It would seem we have explored the extent of this floor. Let us return to our respective Familia." Darius sheathed his sword, considering the day's events. They had had some difficulty with the Snorlax, but other than that, the group had functioned well together. They would likely fair decently on the next floor as well. Though it might increase in difficulty, Darius would hopefully be able to use Bayeux to more effect. The monster's impotence had been quite disappointing.
"Well done everyone," Darius praised the group. He had discovered in his time as a battlefield commander that giving accolades was important in ensuring continued service. "I believe we have once again proven that our deities were correct in choosing us for this endeavour."
