After paying for her new beanie and exiting the shop, you all meet back up with Cole.

"I think 'wild' is putting it mildly," Eliza chuckles and follows Amelia out of the store, making a mental note to return for that book. "We could find a quiet place for a battle? If you guys are finished here, I think I'm finished shopping."

The two exchange the same glance as earlier and nod.
"I'll race ya to the battlefields Eliza. Don't worry they're on the GPS maps. They're over next to the sporting areas!" With that Amelia breaks off into a sprint and alongside Cole she starts to shoot water into the dirt causing some mud splash back at you. Cole takes an early lead, all you can see is his shadow as he sprints by both of you seems to be doing some parkour over some benches, and rails on the way there.

Eliza can only shake her head as her friends race ahead of her. She tries to wipe the mud off of her clothes but is unsuccessful. She follows after them in a steady jog but loses them as they speed ahead. She has to check her map twice to keep from getting lost but is finally able to catch up to them at the battle ground. She presses her hands against her knees kneeling over to catch her breath, the sweater she wore soaked with sweat.
"Alright guys," she pants. "How are we going to do this?"

A semi formal crowd surrounds the baseball like field for Pokemon battles. Other battles seem to breaking out near you on other stages. Amelia can be spotted at field 2 and is waiting with Cole laughing at your exhaustive breaths.
"We will have to get you out swimming little missy. But as for stand up I call dibs on you first roomie! Come at me with everything you've got." With that she unleashes her Mudkip dubbed Slater and prepares a battle stance. She looks at you and her once joking face turns serious as her eyes focus on whats to come.
"Don't hold back Eliza, because I won't."

Eliza is taken back at first by Amelia's quick change of character, but is excited for the challenge and feeds off of her energy. She releases Pepper and the Seel barks a greeting at his trainer.
"Let's show them what we've got, okay little buddy?" Eliza asks her Seel.
He claps his fins together and jumps to face his first opponent, eager to show Eliza what his is capable of.

Getting hit head on by the mud-fish Pokemon, Seel gets scooted back about half a foot but shakes off the blunt force.
"Pepper!" Eliza commands. "Headbutt!"

The blubbering baby knocks back a foot or two before lowering his head and retaliating with a massive knock to the noggin. Slater falls back and begins to shake his head as if he's seeing stars.
"Slater do another tackle quickly!" Amelia exclaims
Slater remains shaking its head before kind of walking in circles. Amelia looks dumbfounded as a new opening opens up for Pepper!

Pepper makes a bounding motion before spiraling forward striking the Mudkip with its horn. Mudkip sails back towards Amelia into her arms unconscious.
"Good job Eliza, I have to say I didn't think that Seel had it in him. Let's see if you can take Cole as well as you did me."
Amelia sprays your Pepper with a potion back to full as she heads back to your side of the arena. Cole makes his way to face you and sends out Riolu.
"Let's see if you're as fierce as you look Eliza." Cole puffs up his chest and tells Riolu to use Bullet Punch. The little dog rushes forward and in a blur begins to strike at Pepper with his tiny fist. Attempting to make each blow count.

"Pepper! You did it!" Eliza spins the Seel in her arms in between the battle. The Pokemon squeaks in her arms just as excited as his trainer. "Think you have one more in you?"
Pepper jumps from Eliza's arms and stands square ready for the next battle.
The blue dog rushes Pepper quickly landing a solid blow against his white cheek but his blubbery body absorbs the hit.
He lowers his head for another headbutt as Eliza calls it out.
To hit, AC 2, +15 Flinches

The pup absorbs the blow well, almost too well. Cole stands behind the clearing smoke of the mighty headbutt.
"Unleash the counter!" Riolu glows a aqua marine blue before grabbing pepper and spinning in a fast circle before jumping in the sky and throwing him to the ground. As they land Pepper cracks the dirt surface below them.
Pepper takes 19 direct HP Damage do not apply Def!

The Riolu staggers back from the brute force of a desperate Seel.
"This battle isn't yours yet Eliza. Claude get in there with one final furry of blows!
The blue pup brushes himself off and quickly becomes a blur again. Peppers head runs back and forth trying to keep track of him before an uppercut from a small fist strikes him, followed my several consecutive blows.

Pepper looks over his shoulder shaking his head no, his icy eyes determined as ever. He turns back to Claude and flops forward for another headbutt.

The headbutt seems to do the trick. Riolu drops down, but as Pepper turns to celebrate Cole smiles.
"That would have normally done it Eliza, too bad Claude is packing ENDURE! Now rise Claude and finish this Seel with a final bullet punch."
Claude staggers upright and with a final flash brings a hammering fist upon Peppers head.

Turning around to smile at Eliza, Pepper unknowingly avoids Claude's attack, the Ruilo sailing past Pepper. The Seel is surprised to see the other Pokemon still on his feet.
"Finish the job, Pepper!" Eliza commands with a confidant smile.
"Seel! Seel!" Pepper barks ducking his head and jumping into a spin.

On its last legs Riolu falls as the might horn of Seel takes him down. Cole returns his Pokemon in disbelief. " I can't believe it. Wow alright then. Eliza is the best guys." After a heal Amelia and Cole turn to face each other and battle it out. Mudkip unleashes a powerhouse of water and ice it couldnt before on Pepper. Riolu is able to deftly dodge the attacks and make work of the Mudkip, causing Cole to come in second. Out of breath the two face you once more. " Guess you're the champ Eliza, whatcha wanna do now?" Amelia says with a short laugh. Pepper gains 21 exp |

Scooping the fully healed Pepper in her arms, Eliza nuzzles his cold body. " You were in credible," she praises him. " You totally surprised me out there." " Se-seel," the Pokemon replies with yawn. Eliza returns her Seel for a well deserved rest and swings her camera around her neck to snap a view photos of Amelia's and Cole's battle. She snags a good one of Amelia commanding Mudkip and another of Claude leaping into the air with a victory punch. " This was so much fun," Eliza declares after their battle. " I can't wait to see how Sunday plays out." What's the crowd look like, if one has formed.
Perception check if anyone familiar is there, ie the bully or one of the student council members.
