Jane also returned somewhere around lunch time. She however didn't look like she had exerted herself terribly much - less running and more leisurely walk. Still looking pleased though. "Hey again gang!"
"I'd love to have you watch the gym attempt. Any pointers I can get would be awesome!" Jane grins as she sits down next to Song and the fire. She was glad that she didn't have to bother too much with the later!
"Mm food!" she mumbled to herself and dug up a paper bag from her backpack, unwrapping it to reveal a large sandwich. She also produced a small journal where she took some brief notes while munching on her food.

As Shui rummaged through Song's bag, she went through her notes. "There's really two ways to approach the gauntlet. You either opt for extreme defense and recovery or extreme offense and speed. Making sure your Pokémon have food is important since the battle runs from one trainer into the next without break. I'd definitely make sure they have leftovers."
"I'd say your best match-up would be fairies. They have good recovery moves and their weaknesses aren't too common in fighting type move pools. Just make sure you have something special for Lucario. I was lucky in that regard, Shui is close to a perfect counter against it."

"Mm food is a good idea. I have some Leftovers since I went wandering around the Rock Tunnel. Those can be useful!" Jane rummaged trough her bag to find them, then handed a pair out to Ana the Serperior and Nie the Whimsicott. The Grass types were quite resilient in their own way (and Sam still had her Leftovers left) so hopefully they could serve as anchors for her team.
"Oh - have any of you guys ever been down there? Plenty of cool pokémon - and rare ones! Even ... *hmm* ... Now that Lavender is taking a break, I should poke one of her friends. But there's no hurry - I'll do that later." She didn't feel any rush to deal with that issue right now. Hopefully there would be plenty of time!
"Back to gauntlet-planning! Right now I'm thinking of taking Ana, Nie, Sam, Fluffy, Hind and Mrs Christie. ...That doesn't say much does it? Jane is excited to start planning and, when she realizes that her new friends are quite new, she releases the proposed team. Ana the Serperior, Nie the Whimsicott, Sam the Mawile, Fluffy the Flareon, Hind the Drifblim and Mrs Christie the Mismagius soon float around the party.
"There! That should be a good mix of offence and defence; hopefully. Ice and Fire Punches might be a bother but ... We'll migrate that. But first a training session!"

"It's odd - I've almost never met someone 'Normal' - everyone has their own weirdness if you get to know them." Jane muses as she Trains her Reserves. Even though she was focusing on the gauntlet later she couldn't neglect her growing pile of pokémon!

"On another topic - do anyone happen to have the Toxic TM? I heard you could obtain it from the Poison Gym and I thought I'd might want to augment Nie's offence. I'll let you use any of my TMs anytime if you want of course!" Jane flips open her TM case to reveal her small stash.

Song smiled and opened her binder, retrieving the purple-hued case of the requested TM. "I just so happen to have it." She took it out of the binder and handed it to Jane.
"My Gliscor is the only one that has the patience and stamina to wait them out."

The bright and cheery girl borrowed one of the discs, both even just to be sure, and then tried to catch her bouncy Whimsicott long enough to have her sit down and learn the TM.

"While we're in the city, I'm going to purchase a flight license." Song beamed a smile at the thought. It was just the other day that she had mentioned to this group her goal of being able to fly to each of the cities to complete her badge journey.
"I plan on heading to Pewter after to catch up on the badges that I missed by starting in Saffron."

"*Ahem* You are flying down to Pewter? I've thought about exploring Mt. Moon a bit more then I did - who knows maybe there's some cool stuff there too? I'm hunting for a piece of Mawilite - and Mt. Moon is a fairy-mountain so if it is anywhere it ought to be there right?" Not that having a piece of Mawilite would do much, seeing as she had no Mega Item, but it was a start! And besides she liked spelunking. "But that's not *now* - just maybe in the future..."

Jane heads for the bus to Saffron. Her stomach was full of familiar Butterfrees; a Gym challenge was always something special even if she was only aiming at the first half. But a bit of nerves was only healthy to keep her on her toes. No doubt she would claim this badge too!

"Ok! Let's go." Song bounced up from her seat and followed the two along to get back to the city and the gym. She observed each of their battles before stopping to purchase a flight license.

After his gatekeeper battle, Lowell fed Kiva a Soda Pop and sprayed her with another potion to heal up her injuries. He then watched the first battle of Jane's gauntlet before leaving to get some Berries in preparation for his own gauntlet run.

She seemed to ponder things for a moment. "I wonder if I could fly to Pewter City and finish my badge there and still make it back in time to see yours."

"But yeah my Pokemon needs at least one night's rest if not two before we are ready. So I'm sure you'll manage to catch a view Song! And I'm sure there's enough trainers here to run two gauntlets Lo. This place is a lot bigger then I thought! So go for it and good luck!"
