Following the dead of a comrade, Jeremiah suggests that Jace and Tully strengthen themselves for the tough road ahead. With only one day remaining for the deciding fight between Paradiso and the Renegades, Jeremiah allows them to face the next gym which is located in an amusement park!
"Let us know when you're done with this place alright? There's a no fly zone at this point so one of us will have to pick you up at this exact spot, ya dig?"
At registration, the clerk asks for your pokedexs' to register you both for the challenge. "Entrance is also $3,000. Will that be cash or card?" You both look at Jeremiah for a fee he never told you about, but he escaped from your field of vision.

"Uhhh," Jace, for his part, was nearly broke. He had spent his money buying TMs for Gengar. "Each?" Jace could afford to pay for half of 3,000 dollars. He was hoping that Tully could cover the other half.

The admissions person takes a deep breath and puts his 'job' persona on. "It seems you're unfamiliar with the rules for this gym." He says as he points to a poster of the amusement park.
"The gym isn't in the amusement park, it is the park. There is a fee of $3000 for using our services.
The name of the challenge is The United Front. Here you will not be facing the owner, Mr. Gavin, but your fellow Pokemon trainers! Your admission fee is also a form of currency within this park. To win and obtain the badge, you must simply raise 50,000 G-Credits. These can be obtained not just through battles, but any sort of transaction through trainers and their Pokemon. Like contests of strength or races. Facilities like stores and poke-centers also use these credits so be wise with how you spend.
Credits can only be won when all trainers agree to the specified challenge. Do not worry about running into stronger or weaker trainers, we register the Pokemon that will be taking part in this challenge and place you among trainers of the same skill level. We try to keep things as fair as possible. There are others not partaking in the challenge and just doing the rides and games so please try not to break their relaxation."
Returning back to his monotonous voice, the man repeats himself. "$3000 for admission, please."

Tully nods as the man finishes his spiel. "Neat idea. Gym where you don't have to fight. Like it." Well aware of Jace's financial situation, he gets out $6000 and hands it over. "So, these G-Credits? They somethin' physical or just points. And do we need to get 50,000 each or together?"

"And more importantly," Jace interjected. "Do we get to cash out at the end?"

"Only the person who needs the badge is required to turn in the G-Credits." He says as he hands out two cards and two card readers. "All trainers and perform transactions with these, just scan the losing card and enter the amount you're withdrawing."
"No, there is no cash prize, but you can battle for actual cash among other things. The only thing to win isn't necessarily G-Credits!"

Tully takes one of the cards and readers, hiding well his disappointment that he won't be able to steal G-Credits if necessary. "Sounds good. Let's get goin', J. Let's see what we can get."

"Time to swindle the swindlers," Jace picked up Ace, holding him in his arms in front of his chest innocently. He also pocketed his Pokeballs, concealing all but Ace's from view. The implication was that Ace, a tiny little Eevee, was his only pokemon. He was pretty sure that he could dupe a lot of trainers this way. Nobody expected a trainer who walked around with an Eevee to also be carrying a Lucario in his pocket.

www.youtube.com/watch?v=e649Eu1Q3TcBoth of you can see that the park is completely filled with trainers and battles. Some are even being creative by making a sumo pit for their Heracross or selling restorative barbecue cooked on their Torkoal's back. This place is truly where everyone's best is totally viable. Your cards all start out with 1,500 G-Credits.

Tully looks around, humming to himself. After a few moments, he turns to Jace.
"So, how we doin' this? Dunno 'bout you, but my skills ain't exactly what you'd call legit. Can't think of any way to turn sneakin' and stealin' into a contest."

"We just need to play to our pokemon's strengths," Jace replied. "If it comes down to it, we could just battle for our money and then spend some of the money to recover lost damage. It wouldn't be the easiest way to win, but it could end up being the fastest."
Jace, for his part, was going to try and use the element of surprise. His Eevee was surprisingly strong, and he had access to other strong pokemon. To top it off, he was much stronger than he looked too. It would be easier if people saw them as easy targets and challenged them.

It's them! Which means that juggler must be here! Yes! Wait, we have to introduce ourselves. Her conflicting thought process gets a directive. Sana, a girl in a Halloween witch costume, sitting on her Arcane staff levitates herself near Jace. She takes her wand, standing on the ground, making her presence known to Jace.
"Good morning, Mr.Synod. Excuse me." Sana speaks softly, bowing down as good manners. "Is the juggler called Ms.Marietta accompanying you?" She suddenly fists the sky, speaking in somewhat more forward expression."Cuz I'm gonna get her autograph. Yes."

Tully tenses up slightly at the name, managing to suppress an eye-twitch. Autograph hunters? Yeah, right, an' I'm a productive member o' society.
He sighs, his hand ready to pull out a knife if things go wrong. "'Fraid we parted company few days back. You can try to find her for an autograph if ye like, but I don't know that you'll have much luck with that."

"And just who are you anyway?" Jace gave her the once over. It wasn't every day that a witch came floating down to talk to you, but he supposed that he had seen weirder so far. "And why are you dressed like that?"

"Aww..." Tully's "answer" sends Sana into a sense of dejection, whimpering softly in disappointment. Great... should've gone to Oar's Rest Port four days ago, now our investment in Marietta's autograph is gone. Aren't they together as three men team back in Jeremiah's gym?
"Nevermind..." Eventually, both of her personas agree that it's better to give up on her autograph. Sana still has the 5th badge she has to collect.
"Eeeeks... I'm so sorry!" Being questioned with irritation, Sana throws into a panic. "I... I haven't introduced myself." Sana thinks she made bad manners by immediately questioning her interest. She bows again, towards Jace and Tully. "I am Sana Hearts, a Pokemon trainer challenging the league. This costume was from my club member in Occult Club." She switches tone again, her other persona taking over. "Isn't it cute like a magical girl?"

"...sure is." Tully says, without much enthusiasm. "Listen, Sana, don't mean to be rude, but we've got a badge to win and... well, not gettin' into details, but we're kinda on a time crunch. So, feel free to keep talkin' with us, but we're gonna have to walk and talk. And fight. And whatever else we need to do in this place."

Just as Tully says that, a trainer swoops in to battle! He directs his attention to Jace.
"Hey! Do you want to battle? Your Eevee vs my Rhydon? Let's say for... 500 credits?"

"Occult Club?" It was true, this girl seemed to be the genuine article. He was confused as to how, but he supposed that he could fly too if he really tried. Maybe he should try...
He was going to ask her to elaborate about her powers when he was interrupted by some trainer trying for an easy win. "Oh, I don't know," Jace said, rubbing the back of his neck shyly. "Rhyhorn is a rock type I think. Seems like you have a serious advantage against my little Eevee..."
Putting Ace down Jace looked back up at the boy. "How about if you win I'll give you 500, but if I win you have to pay me 1000. You know, because normal types are half as effective against rock types."

The trainer visibly agrees with that fact, but he does not back down. "Make it 750 you give and we got a deal, I'll give 1250!"

"Sounds good to me," Jace agreed. He bent down to Ace and wrapped a collar around his neck. From the collar hung a red gemstone, his Eviolite. "Alright little guy, try your best!" he stage whispered to Ace. Although Jace was able to keep a straight face Ace was smiling ear to ear.
Ace, the moment the battle starts, blitzes Rhyhorn. Charging in he ferociously bites Rhyhorn, clamping down hard.
Ace uses Bite, Jace uses Critical Moment
