Hurn and Selis glance at one another before replying. The Bearman speaks with a sad tone in his voice and does not gesticulate much, mostly keeping his hands clenched by his sides.
"I am sorry that we must meet under these dire circumstances, we mean you no harm as well but it would be best if you and your companions would just go. While I believe your words are genuine you even said yourself that you are unsure of your companions full intentions and I will not let those I travel with come to harm under my watch. If we run into one another later perhaps we can work together but we have prepared defenses tonight and have no intention of leaving this spot until we are all rested and the sun has returned to the sky. May peace walk with you and your companions."
With that Hurn turns to stare into the fire. Selis continues to watch the pair at the edge of the woods with an icy stare.

Out of respect, Iris bowed as she bid farewell, "Thank you, and I wish you the best of luck in your endeavors." She could only hope that the other groups she met in the future will be this understanding. Iris beckoned to Yoko, "Let's go," and walked to the left.
She would keep on walking until whenever Shossk and Layl would deem it appropriate to appear from the shadows to discuss the group's future plans. Iris, for her part, believed, "At least the pair that we met seemed like good folk. I think they're safe... It's just a shame that our circumstances really make it difficult to work together," and she would say as much after the group had stopped and gathered.

Since she didn't have anything constructive to add to the conversation and was content to let Iris do all the talking, Yoko stayed quiet and listened to the conversation, much like what this Selis person was doing. At Iris' parting words, Yoko gave a polite bow to the bearman and cloaked woman, and then followed after Iris.
Once they were out of earshot, Yoko turned to regard her companion. "Sorry I made you do all the talking," she instinctively apologized, feeling some guilt at having said nothing before.

The lightness Shossk felt becomes heavier as Iris turned from the bear man, though the tension in Shossk's muscles lingers. He stares into the encampment for a few moments... before finally turning away himself to follow after Iris and the others.
Shossk emerges from the underbrush as the group assembles. He stares pointedly at Iris as she relays her news. "Do yyou believe they will be allies? I wish to mmake the most of this opportunity." His tail occasionally rustles the leaf litter as it twitches slightly.

Layl watches the visible part of her team back off, taking a moment to see what the other team did, before skulking off to join her friends and see what the plan was now. She was also partially thankful a fight hadn't started, as most of her team was still injured from earlier events in the day.
She strode up to the party, not making a sound as she waited to hear what was up with the other group, and what their plan was for now.

"Ah," Iris turned to Yoko and waved her hands, "No... er... I'm sorry that I didn't give you a chance to talk. Sorry, I just kind of marched my own way through all of that without giving you a chance to think."
Then the rest of company arrived, and it was time to discuss matters. "I believe that Hurn, the one that looked like a Pokemon, is a good person, and while Selis, his companion, did not say much, they seemed to be of like minds," Iris explained her opinion on the matter, agreeing with Shossk, "I would also like it if we could team up," but expressed her understanding for the other side's situation, "However, given the conditions of AL's game, it is hard for them to trust us upon just meeting us. Maybe, if we meet again in the future and prove to each other that we genuinely do wish to work together, we can become allies then." Iris, herself, had to wonder if maybe she had been too eager to find and work together with others earlier. Hurn had made a good point, as hard as it was to swallow.

"Allies wwould benefit us. Though I also wish to ffind an acceptable party to defeat," Shossk bluntly reminds everyone. "Any allies we mmake will compete with us in this quest."Shossk glances about the jungle then. "Wwe should make our own camp. I suggest we ffind a place where the trees hide us from above. Tthe bear's group camps in the open, and we could have attacked them. I wissh to avoid making ourselves a target, as they have."Barring any objections Shossk will go about the task of finding a good place to camp, one hidden among the trees to avoid being spotted from the island above, and setting said camp up to settle down for the night. Survival to find a camping spot and set up camp: 14

Layl finally speaks up after Shossk makes his opinion known. "Hey, no one can turn down friends, especially in a weird situation like this. I know I want as many friends in a situation like this as I can get."
She gives Iris a thumbs up, letting the girl know that she was 100% for the idea. Layl had been a bit...of a jerk earlier, so it's important to show that they're still friends, just not exactly besties yet. "The more the merrier, or whatever it is people say"
She then turned and followed after Shossk, intent on making sure that they didn't get separated...that would be bad.

After a bit of searching, Shossk is able to find a well-protected and hidden area that's also a good distance from the other groups camp. It has two choke points heading into an area beneath the remains of a massive fallen tree with enough room for everyone.

Iris tailed Shossk and Layl, making sure that Yoko came with. She, too, didn't want to get separated. Being an amateur, Iris had thought to just sleep in another clearing, but Shossk had other, better ideas. She gave an "Aaah" of realization when she saw the place Shossk had found. She understood now, and set about making herself helpful. Granted, there wasn't much she could do. Her ability to perceive the future were no linked to that AL being, and she would rather avoid talking to it if she could help it. Unsure of what else she could do, she pulled out her first aid kit and asked around if anyone or their Pokemon could do with some really, really mediocre healing.

For Shossk's part, he settles into the usual camping routine. He was usually the one to search for firewood, and food if necessary, while his old party pitched their tents and his while he was gone. Without thinking, he sets his pack down for his current party before leaving to "ssearch for wood," telling the others before doing so. Calt flits off after him.
Upon his return, he sets his load down and starts on the fire if nobody's started one yet, or simply sits next to the flames if someone has. Calt waddles in a minute later, awkwardly carrying two small bundles of twigs with his feet.
"Hass the watch been decided? I will take the rremaining position."

Layl looks around as Shossk mentions watch...she really had no experience with camping, so the idea of a watch hadn't crossed her mind at all. In the end, Layl had mostly just pulled out her tent...that she didn't exactly know how to set up. Other than that she had just wandered the area.
"Hm, I suppose I can take first watch? We hadn't really discussed it before you got here." She gives a shrug, not entirely sure how everything works. "I haven't exactly camped out before, I always was able to get back to my house at the end of the day when I went out world traveling."

Well, since no one wanted healing and it looked like Layl had no idea how to set up a tent, Iris set about setting up tents. She worked on her own first, glad to see that it was just standard camping gear, the kind she could set up in a spiffy. Well, could if she had help. Usually, that meant Amy and Turq but now the only help Iris had was the... Zorua... After some hesitation she sent out Light, and Light, obedient as ever, was happy to help. With the assistance of the eager-to-please kit, Iris's tent setup went by quickly.
After her tent, she set up Shossk's tent. If he had gone out to gather firewood, then this was the least she could do.
Then it was Layl's, or it would have been if Shossk didn't come back right as Iris put on the finishing touches of the lizard's tent.
"Watch?" Iris echoed the word, adding her personal touch of confusion. Shortly after, she realized what they were talking about. Right, watches... The thing that she rarely did, and even when she did, she sort of just ended up dozing right through because Amy was almost nocturnal and Turq had psychic powers. Iris hesitated before claiming, "In that case, I'd like the second watch." She wasn't feeling too sleepy right now, thanks to that little nap earlier, so maybe she'll only be able to take another nap during Layl's watch and it won't be as hard to wake up and stay awake for her watch? Something like that?
While she had everyone's attention, Iris added, "Oh, and... I set up Shossk's tent already. Layl, do you need help setting up your tent by any chance?".

Layl looked over, thankful someone had offered to help set the tent up. Sure, it probably wasn't hard, but she didn't feel like accidentally ripping a hole in this. It's not like she could just reach into her MoogleMunny account to replace it either.
"Oh, yes, that'd be nice, I've never really set up one before, so if you could show me the ropes, I can probably handle it next time" She also flashed Iris a grin, thankful that they were seemingly getting along. Probably more Layl's fault than anything, but she usually had Chirithy to help calm her down. Without the little guy she felt...lost.

"Mm," Iris nodded to show she understood, and as Layl asked her to, she proceeded to walk Layl through setting up the tent.

Eventually the group settles down for the night. Shossk is about to go about the task of preparing basic defenses for the camp, but Yoko takes the initiative with her own surprising level of survival knowledge. Shossk merely follows her around and make an addition here and there. It's decided that Shossk will be taking the 3rd shift watch position, and he does so once Iris wakes him. During his watch he digs out the single book among his generated belongings, one that has a picture of a mushroom stamped on the front cover and no other markings. He cracks it open more out of curiosity than anything due to his inability to read. Apparently AL took that into account, though, as its pages are filled with detailed pictures of various fungi, each listed with cartoony pictures of what ailments they appear to cause. This one shows a picture of a lizard face vomiting, that one has a clawed-thumbs up next to it, the next one has a lizard skull and crossbones next to it, and so on. There's even instructions for how to cook some of the safer ones, all in childish pictographs of course. If Shossk knew enough to feel patronized he probably would be, but as it is he simply scans through the book in between keeping an eye on his surroundings. When it's Yoko's turn to take watch, Shossk pokes Calt. The owl gives a hoot of surprise as he jolts away, and he nearly falls off the top of Shossk's tent. Normally dartrix would be nocturnal, but he stayed up all day yesterday and apparently needed the rest. In any case, he does his best to help Yoko out during the final watch shift.

After everyone else settles down for the night Layl stays up for the first watch. The muggy atmosphere of the jungles presses in even worse after the sun sinks below the island. The sound of creatures redoubles throughout the night, buzzing, chirring, and the occasional screech echoing around, dual pinpoint flashes of light appear in the distance occasionally before disappearing into the darkness once more. Once she even hears the far-off sound of a tree toppling over in the darkness. But nothing major happens, nothing bursts into the camp, no overly loud noises nearby. The watch transfer is seamless and without issue.
Once Iris is on watch things seem much the same. The occasional shadow passes near the edges of her vision but she can't get much of a bead on it before they disappear and are swallowed up by the night. The only major thing of note is a soft rumbling noise that can be heard in the distance but it quickly passes and no other noises follow it. Everything remains calm.
When it is Shossk's turn he gets about a third through his book before he hears a nearby rattling noise. A large creature that appears to be some sort of large cat pads out of the undergrowth not ten feet from him. As soon as it notices him it bolts, crashing through the undergrowth and away from him.
(Barring you not waking up your companions or chasing after it.)
The rest of the watch is calm. Yoko and Calt see nothing else out of the ordinary, their watch is similarly calm to the first two.

Shossk stares off into the darkness in the direction the large cat retreated. Several possibilities ran through his head, the worst of which being that the cat may have belonged to another group. That was unlikely, as this spot was chosen specifically to avoid being spotted from above. In that case it could be the bear-man's group, or perhaps another group got lucky and stumbled upon this camp.
In any case, staying in the camp seemed to be the most prudent choice. Shossk, though, shifts himself into the shadows. If another group approaches and sees the watchman has disappeared, they may suspect a trap and back off.
Assuming nothings happens by the time the watch changes, Shossk warns Yoko and Calt of what he saw before falling back to sleep.

The morning light breaks through the cracks in the trees shining down and illuminating the area. Yoko and Calt had an uneventful and boring night watch with only minor sightings far off into the dark. The dew is thick on the ground and shakes off in sheets as everyone emerges from their tents. Were will you head next?
After searching about for mushrooms Shossk finds a patch. A Big mushroom and two Tiny ones at its base.

Layl let's out a yawn, rubbing her eyes blearily of sleep. She hates it when sleep get's stuck in her eyes, it's such a pain to remove. She waves tiredly at the others, before realizing that she isn't going to be able to drink coffee, much less eat her favorite sugared cereal. As such, a bunch of mutterings can be heard coming from her as she starts taking apart her tent. If you listened yo could hear a few comments about 'stupid, overpowered god' and 'crazy face', but nothing really legible.
