The Intro
You have been chosen to play “The Game”, contestants can be taken from anywhere and anywhen. Create any character you want as long as you have a decent backstory and the character is able to communicate and work with your teammates. Character drama that doesn’t derail the game is fine as long as your character isn’t lone wolf Mc’Gee that runs off by themselves every chance they get. Anything from the GoT and dPDoM is fine and we’ll be using the all of playtests except the capture rules. If you want to work your class into your backstory that’s fine but the game is set up in such a way that non-backstory classes are accounted for within the narrative. So go wild.
Here's a link to the Skype Chat I created so the players can interact and ask questions.
You awaken to brilliant white light and questions sleeting through your head. The random and nonsensical questions echo back and forth inside your skull until you answer them. Finally, after what seems like years the questions grind to a halt. The light fades away and you find yourself in a strange circular room, the walls and ceiling look knobbly and organic and are a bleached white. A raised dais sits in the center with four plinths on it. You see another figure across from you. Out of the corner of your eye, you can see that there are two other figures, one on your left and another on the right. Before you can get your bearings a towering inferno of blue flame explodes to life at the center of the room. A sneering face materialized within, always seeming to face in your direction, it speaks with a raspy voice that washes over you like waves of heat.
“Oh hey! You all finally finished the questionnaire, about time too. Great! You can call me AL!”
The face closes one eye in an awkward facsimile of a wink.
“I guess I’ll give you the spiel then. I’ve brought you here to play the Game! You will use the creatures that inhabit this place to complete certain challenges. Do so and you’ll be rewarded, fail and well… I always have new teams running through. Entertain me and we’ll get along fine.”
AL makes a crackling sound that could be construed as laughter if you stretched the definition a bit.
“Now then, you four will make a team. Together you have three main goals. The first is to reach the end of eight… let’s call em’ “zones”. Navigate them and defeat the creature guarding the exit and you can move on to the next. Complete all eight and you can move onto the final challenge. The second goal is to defeat other teams, every time you do so I’ll give you something big. Thirdly, keep it interesting!”
The billowing fire shifts and sputters, four protrusions reached out and touch the top of the plinths. They retract a deposit a strange assortment of items on each.
“Based on your answers to your questionnaire you each have been assigned a “class” a “starter and an assortment of items, once I’ve finished take the package nearest to you. If you concentrate on the word “class” you’ll find all the information you need has been placed inside that tiny skull of yours. Now, one moment.”
The fire seems to swirl in one direction as the face screws up in concentration. The walls of the room begin to ripple and flow like water until they create eight archways. As you gaze through them you can see picturesque landscapes beyond. One’s a desert, another is a castle on a hill, yet another is a city with building haphazardly strewn about. A few strange contraptions flow out of the ground, glassy screens glowing.
“That should be it then. If you need to get in touch feel free to call.”
With that, the pillar shrinks as quickly as it appeared and vanishes. Leaving the four of you alone together.

Character Creation
Character’s start out at level 5 with a level 15 starter. Your starter must be a non-pseudo-legendary and an underdog with at least one evolution. Although it may be evolved if it does so at or below level 15. I’ll be allowing the community Alola Dex as well. If you want a specific Pokemon this would be the time to snap them up. I will almost exclusively be using Fakemon, I may include some methods of obtaining standard Pokemon but it’s going to be something special when it happens. Your starter may also have an Egg Move and a Skill Background.
Each player will also start out with 15,000 in starting funds, anything left over will be gone once the game begins as those starting funds represent your specially tailored assortment of starting items. Weapons will cost 400 for a crude weapon, 2,500 for a simple one and 5,000 for a fine one. You may purchase any TM that costs under 3,000.
Recruitment ends at Midnight CST on the 31st of July (going on to morning of the 1st of August)
