First off, I want to thank all of my applicants for an amazing job. If I could I would take all of you, but that would make the game impossible to run and at five players I am already at a fairly high active unit number.
Without further ado, let us take a look at the start of the paths that have lead to the party that now stands ready to look for fair Gwenhael:
-At age five, one pouting Amelia Rosenberg left her home with her master Cian Ives towards Virran to be trained in how to control her spellweaving.
-Maeve Ó Dufaigh's soulful song was heard throughout Quaza's Nest as she descended to present herself as a squire candidate, her heart still heavy with the decision as the mountains sung back in echoes.
-Down south, a cart rattled as Maela Tanarth waited for the sandstorm to pass. She took one final look at the faint light of her family's lighthouse, where her grandfather's Ampharos shone the beacon to herald the departure of one of their own.
-To the east, O. Maurith was involved in an argument with the driver of his cart about his name, and once that was laid to rest he looked out of his cart window to look at the familiar shapes of his family home.
-Finally, a young Morgan Beauchamp collected the Unfezant he had shot down and readied to cook the meal for his small party, secretly hoping his next group on the way to Virran would contain more fair maidens and less sweaty blokes.
And those are the young squires that will endeavor in the adventures of the Tome of Five Blades, as popularized by the bard Zephran Leomkar years after and compiled into book form. I thank all of my applicants, and invite you to keep in touch in case real life happens since I will go to you first if I need to replace a player. Feel free to join this adventure as readers just as well.
Now, to adventure!
