The Caterpie was... amiable, at least. It would wiggle it's feelers in Skylar's general direction, before it would resume munching on it's leaf. While it may not be hostile, it wasn't about to interrupt it's breakfast if nothing was providing a good reason to.

Skylar pondered for the briefest of seconds, before he quickly realized that the Caterpie was eating its breakfast. "In that case..." He said quietly, as he grabbed some leaves, before applying a jam-like mixture of fruits and sugar. Once he was done, he held it up to the Caterpie. "I'm not a bad guy Caterpie, I just want to be friends~" He said, closing his eyes while giving a smile to it. Intuition: 20

Jamie weaves her way through the underbrush with an ease she didn't have even on the open road. (Forest Naturewalk from Survivalist) She'd spent a lot of time in forests, though the forest had gotten a lot more dangerous recently with the Ekans. Speaking of...
Jamie comes to a silent stop at the sound of hissing. Didn't sound like a bug as far as she could tell, but it was in her way, and she had a few balls to spare. At worst, someone else would be glad to have it. Just gotta see exactly where it is first.
OrBS4LZJ3d6+2 for finding the source of hissing, +2 from being in forest.

@tazuki The attack connects, and the Weedle tumbles over. It quickly regains it's beady little footing, letting out a wounded battlecry, and launching this attack. You surprised it this round, but it moves with a startling speed, faster the the pawniard does, and attempts to make up the diffrence in damage. Weedle uses struggle! V5ycgmig1-20 AC4 If hits Round 2 Weedle uses struggle! 1-20 AC4 If hits sandsofazorin The catterpi would wiggle feelers again, this time turning and facing, inching it's way down the tree. It would streach out, trying to snag a nibble of the tasty treat, before crawling, carefully, closer it eat it with ease. It seemed to not mind Skylar's presence nearly as much anymore. infomantis The Ekans had gone quiet again, but they where stealthy buggers. It had definitely been close, however, more then close enough to strike. This was a standoff of sorts, and it was likely waiting to see if Jamie pushed onwards, or would remove herself from the territory posthaste. It wasn't sneaky enough, however, and you where pretty sure you could see it, a scant four meters ahead, laying in wait. 1-20··1-20· |

Skylar remained perfectly still, holding the leafy confection in front of it. "Tasty isn't it? Just come on down..." He said, trying to convince the bug to leave the tree. He really wanted the caterpie, but wasn't gonna force a fight if it came down to it. Meanwhile the Turtwig had fallen asleep again, snoozing loudly as a limb twitched in the air.

It would seem the Weedle was shaken from hit and failed to make contact on it's first retaliation, but it's second strike rang true. Rook took the hit and slid back a bit, ready for more. For his action, Orin whips out the pokedex and scans the Weedle, 'information is power, nevery hurts to stock this baby up.'
"You alright Rook? Why don't we show it a hat trick?"With a glint in his eye, Rook removed his straw hat to Fling it frisbee style at the Weedle.

"Alright Speedy, watch and learn," Jamie mutters quietly to Speedy, still on her shoulder. Without moving, she begins to whistle a soft melody to the Ekans. She'd learned this from her mother when she was young and unwilling to go to bed, though she never could quite remember the end of the tune, due to usually being fast asleep by the last notes.

Tazukie The pokedex would chirp out, ready as every to provide information: 'Weedle. The stinger on this Pokémon's head guarantees that any attacker will get the point right where it hurts' the audio would tone out, a more detailed explanation written on the device, as well as several catagories with ???marks about this specific Weedle's biology, unable to list such fine-tuned stats without the scan from the pokecenter. The weedle, meanwhile, handily avoids the hat, but moreso then that, spears it with the horn on it's head, taking it to wear itself as it does. Round 3: The weedle waddles up to Rook, wearing the hat almost mockingly as he winds up for another struggle attack. UA0OZVwS1d20 AC4 if hits 1d8+161d20·1d8+16

infomantis The Ekans is rapidly lulled to sleep, dozing off in it's hiding place, though not for long: It's scales shimmer as it starts to move, a dart of poision flying towards Jamie, along with a battlehiss. (Ekans used shed skin to remove sleep, and then a poison sting) oeIoJf0W1d20 AC2 poisons on a 17+ If hits: damage 1d8+181d20·1d8+18

Skylar began to move his hand around slightly, almost like he was trying to play with the caterpie. Of course, it still had easy access to the treat. "You should come with me, it'll be a whole lot of fun, and I'll make you a lot of tasty treats~" He cooed at the bug, trying his best to convince it to join his team.

sandsofazorin The Caterpie would seriously consider the offer, wiggling it's feeler in thought, though Skylar wouldn't get the anwser till after it finished eating. It would look at him, first from one side, to the other, then give a small, buggish nuzzle of approval.

Speedy is quick to act, jumping off Jamie's shoulder and taking the sting for her before she has a chance to move. He seems relatively uninjured from the sting due to his typing, and angrily replies by charging directly into the ekans.

TazukieThe weedle couldn't take the second hit, and goes down! The well wounded bug would curl up, fainting promptly, it's small form fully hidden under the hat. Rook gains 5 exp!

Skylar's face beamed with excitement as the bug nodded in approval. He quickly sat down and allowed the bug to finish eating, despite the slight bouncing of excitement. He actually did it, he caught his first pokemon! He gently placed a basic ball on the ground, and waited for Caterpie to get in.

While speedy corners it from escaping from the pokeball throw, it has more then enough fight left in it to break free, and retaliate, shifting away from the trainer, before rapidly coiling itself around the mobile pokemon. to hit grapple _WYLZV6Y1d20+2if hits, opposed check athletics or combat 2d6+2if wins, speedy is grappled, and loses a tick of hitpoints from wrap. ROUND 3: 1d20+2·2d6+2

sandsofazorin The caterpie would take it's sweet time, inspecting the pokeball, before it would meagerly press the button, vanishing inside. Picture of pokemon stats on Discord. You gain one Dex exp for catching a caterpie!
