The jester would nod, the fancy frills on his swimsuit jostling from side to side as he hopped from foot to foot, the large webbed flippers flapping on the wood surface as he does. "It's really quite simple! You may both use up to three pokemon each in battles, and you must work your way through the trainers! You can go back and heal and take as many tries as you wish, any trainer you beat will stay beaten, until the gym closes, at which point you'll need to start from the beginning tomorrow! Each trainer you beat for the first time will give you a full allotment of prize money, subsequent wins will earn you a much smaller sum, to encourage you to move on and progress! No trainer intervention besides orders, and if you call a pokemon back when it's in danger outside the usual appropreat times, that is considered a faint, and you cannot use that pokemon for the rest of the battle!" He'd pause, takeing a deep breath, and grinning. "You get all that?"

Jamie nods her head a couple of times through the whole explanation, nodding slightly more vigorously when the prize money is mentioned. At the end of the speech, she nods one last time, "That sounds great to me! You ready for this, Orin?"

Orin whispered to Jamie, "makes we want to challange them all now, knowing we can heal."
Back to the jester, "How many trainers are here in this gym, and are you our first challange?"

The jester would nod, juggling around a few pokeballs. "I am indeed your first challenge! As for how many trainers? It depends on how well the day goes, and if we've got exchange students over! At the moment, we have but one poor soul who's trying to pay her way back home overseas, you'll meet her if you stay on this path!" He'd twirl a little, letting two of the pokeballs bounce off the floor, releasing the contence, a pair of Tynamo floating intimidatingly a short ways off the hardwood floating floor.

"Alright Spike, let's see how tough that new shell of yours is! Let's go!"
Jamie releases her Kakuna next to the Blitzle, and almost immediately out of the ball she fires a Poison Sting at one of the Tympole, clearly still raring to go from the earlier training.

Both the tynamo would float upwards after receveing the initial assult, taking an awkward position two meters above the battle platform. They could still be attacked physically from ground level, but it would be uphill. From the new position, the one on the right having shifted back a little from Fulgurite to safely attack, they would both attack the kakuna with Charge Beam

Spike narrowly spins out of the way of one of the beams, unfortunately directly into the second. "Come on! They're fish, so reel them in!" Taking Jamie's words (and today's training) to heart, Spike shoots out a line of silk at the previously hit Tympole with the intent of dragging them back down to ground level.

The wounded Tynamo would avoid being hit by the follow-up attack, but could not avoid the webbing that would catch him, dragging him closer to the ground dispite his squirms. He would change tact, charging into the pull, and tackles the kakuna, while the uninjured one would join in on the beating, attempting to connect with a much more electrically chargedd tackle

The two impacts force the Kakuna back a ways, wobbling to stay upright. "Orin, you finish off the weakened one, I'll try poisoning the second." Carefully, Spike moves back a bit from the Tympole that hit last and hardest, before firing a sting straight at it.

To Jamie, "Will do," back to Fulgurite, "they don't seem too interested in playing with you. Let's see how strong they really are. Shock Wave the weakened one!"
Orin doubles the efforts of Brutal Training
Orin was risking electric on electric to see if it would go through or not. The result of the attack, good or bad would be telling. Fulgurite keep her distance this time and let out a pulse of electricity towards the damaged Tynamo.

While the one on the left wouldn't evade the sting, it's friend would equally be so lucky, the shock toasting the fish mid-flight. Still, it'd power through, the both of them charging another beam, and launching it at spike point blank from either side

Orin winces watching Spike take a hit and fall over, but watching the second even larger blast careen twards his unconsious friend was just too much. "Not so fast, Fulgy -absorb it!"

The already severely wounded Tynamo would fall over, slowly floating down, the trainer returning it, though, he wouldn't send out another in it's place, the jester clapping happily. "Good, good job! You're doing great for new trainers!"

Jamie sighs seeing Spike get hit and falling over, then cringes and starts fumbling for her ball as the second Tynamo releases its bolt. The beam diverts from its path before she could get the ball out, and she sighs with relief. "Nice save there Orin! Well, other than the first beam, but that one looked a lot stronger." Recalling Spike, she quickly makes a snap decision on who would help Fulgurite the most against the remaining Tynamo, and sends out Ekans, who immediately coils towards her opponent, eager to make up for the last battle.

"I hope Spike's OK. unfortunatly I can't keep that up."
The use of Lightningrod tipped his hand to the Jester, that Fulgurite is fully immune to electric attacks. If they were ignoring her before, then it would certinly continue now. "Can't let them forget about us, keep a steady beat on that Tynamo!"
Fulgy had to dance around the Ekans to attempty to land a hit.
