Jamie had woken up the first time someone had said her name, but she hadn't moved from her spot behind the tree so as to not disturb Speedy, who was busy napping on her stomach, rolled up and looking very comfortable. On hearing Orin ask where she was, she sticks out an arm so it can be seen from around the tree, and responds, "I'm over here. Have fun in town?" Speedy moves a little hearing her voice, and she gently pets his shell with her other hand.

"Yea, just relaxing with the Pokemon. Catch anything interesting while I was in the woods? There wasn't much interesting for me, just too many Ekans." Speedy slowly uncurls and opens his eyes, then grabs onto Jamie's shirt as she scoots around the tree so she can face the other two. "Speaking of which, either of you want an Ekans?" She points a thumb to her backpack.

"You know that Aipom that always hung around town, fighting with birds and snatching the occasional snack? Well, he'll be joining us on our journey. He's healing up with Nurse Joy at the moment." Orin shares the details of the capture if asked.
"Any idea of where to heat next, we cold root around in the grash a bit more?"

Jamie knew that Aipom, alright. She'd always made a habit of sticking her tongue out at it when she passed by, and occasionally throwing it a berry or two as a payment of sorts for it to not bother her. "As tempting as it sounds to catch a few more Weedle, I'd like to keep moving. Beginning Springs isn't too far off, and it's got a lot more in the ways of Pokemon... not to mention ways to make some cash. Balls don't exactly grow on trees, you know."

Skylar place Spike on the ground near Jamie, so he could get to her easily. When the mention of his tender touch came up, he gave a smile. "Its training, obviously~" He replied back, his tone seemed to be more or less avoiding the question, but that was up to them to decide if he was telling the truth or not.

"Well, if I had to guess what we'd run into... Pokemon. People. Possibly trees, if we forget to keep our eyes open." Jamie chuckles at her own joke. "But yea, I can wait here until you're ready to set off. Might try asking a Caterpie to get in a ball for me, I'm too lazy to throw one while I'm this comfortable."

So it would seem, Skylar likes to keep his secrets. Maybe he is modest, or just likes to be mysterious. Orin smiled slightly, 'if that's how he is, it's alright... unless he were to hide more important things.' Orin shook those thoughts out of his head.
"If you two would rather stay here, I be right back."
Orin headed off at a fast clip, to spend more time with Nurse Joy. Entering the Poke Center, "Hello again! How are the patients?"

The nurse would cheerily greet him, motioning to the glowing crate-sized box next to her. "Almost done! They'll simply be a few minutes more, you put them through quite the workout!" She'd say, with a kind smile. It wouldn't be long, indeed, only about five minutes, before the machine would ding, playing out the healing tune, and she hands him back his pokemon. "Now be careful not to push too hard! We can heal wounds quickly, but there's only so much healing you can do in a day!" she'd say, a soft scolding, but nothing serious, before she'd relent to a smile. "Now, I didn't mean it so litterally the last time I said it, but we hope to see you again soon! Take care Orin!"

Jamie watched Orin run back off towards town for a bit, then looked to Speedy, who had reclaimed her shoulder and was looking expectantly at her. "Alright, alright, I'm getting up already." Slowly standing with the tree as a support, Jamie yawns and stretches her arms. She'd gotten up really early today to make sure she had everything packed that she needed, so getting a bit more sleep was definitely good for her. Looking around at her feet to make sure nothing had fallen out of her bag, her eyes alight on a Caterpie munching on a fallen leaf close by. She had been joking about asking one to get in a ball earlier, but...
Snapping her fingers to get the bugs attention, Jamie puts a Pokeball on the ground in front of her and folds her arms, doing her best impression of Lizzie when she wanted something done for her. "Alright, kid. I'm going on an adventure. Come with me." She points to the Caterpie, then the ball.

He graciously retrived his pokemon and clipped him to his belt. With a slight bow of the head, Orin made his way back outside and twards his friends.

infomantisThe caterpie would pause it's muching on the leaf, and would look up at her. She could almost see the gears turning in it's head, if only for a moment, before it would return to it's meal.

Jamie shrugs and picks the ball back up, before leaning back against the tree. "Worth a shot, I guess." She hadn't really expected it to work anyway, and while she could probably catch it easily enough, there'd likely be better uses for the ball down the road.

Orin approached the two as Jamie was standing up, pokeball in hand, turning his back to a Caterpie. 'Huh, lets's see if I can get this done in one.'
Summoning Rook, "Good to have you back, feeling fit? See that little green guy there?" he hands the hat back to Rook, "give it a solid hit."
Rook wound up, aimed for a tense moment, and pitched it.

On a crit, add additional 2d10+10 Damage
If the Caterpie is KOed:

If the Fling hit and Caterpie is still standing:

TazukieThe caterpie mostly just slumped over, face down into it's meal, the hat stuck in it's back, nested in a rather devistating-looking gash across the length of it, the brim of the hat stained green with it's insect blood. Rook Gains 5 exp!
