Rook feels a surge of energy as his combatant falls; he turns to it, removes the hat, and places it on his own head. "All right, you won your first battle! Lets top you off at the poke center and see if we can find Aipom!"
Orin recalls Rook to give him a rest, then heads towards Skylar to inform him of the new heading. Upon getting close, he can see Skylar is in the middle of something with a Caterpie, so he decided to leave him to it undisturbed.
Sprinting to the Pokemon Center, Orin hurried through the door to greet Nurse Joy, "I told you we'd see each other soon, " he cracks a friendly smile, "I just won my first poke battle. Rook could use a top off please, then we're right back at it. Thank you very much."
He hands over the pokeball, and while he waits, he just takes in the bustle of the poke center, a world that he was a part of now. When Rook was ready, he thanked Nurse Joy again and scurried to the last place he saw and scanned the Aipom.

TazukieThe nurse happily takes the pokeball, congratulating Orin as she takes it to the machine. "Normally, healing up a team of pokemon takes an hour! But for injuries as small as this one, we can just use a potion or two." She'd say, humming a littl healing tune as she takes the pokeball into the back room. A mere ten minutes later, and she'd return, handing the pokeball back. "There we are! good as new! Hope to see you soon!" She'd say with a friendly wave, giving Orin a parting 'Stay safe' as he left. The Aipom wasn't hard to find, it was resting in it's favourite tree, in the middle of the town, a rather sizable apple, or rather, the core, likely pilfered from the fresh fruits stall, being held in it's tail. (It would be a perception, in this case!) The Aipom had been here almost longer then Orin had, or at least, everyone always remembered seeing it. Even if it never really left town, it still scrapped with the occasional bird, or rodent who intruded on it's personal territory. The Aipom would give a lazy wave, being fairly familiar with Orin by now, not in the slightest worried.

Athletics roll in rollthread
Speedy barely wiggles out of the coils in time before it starts getting too uncomfortable, and responds by stabbing one of his spines at the offending Pokemon.

Skylar simply smiled as he watched the Caterpie cautiously entered into the pokeball. Placing the ball onto his belt, he quickly began to look around his surroundings. "Alright Coatli, I believe its time you got some exercise~" He said with a bit of a tease in his voice. The pokemon quickly woke up to the sound of her trainer's voice, before letting out a big sneeze. Skylar couldn't help but giggle as he picked up the turtle and began to look for more pokemon, this time however it would be a fight.

infomantisThe ekans takes the hit, the wound leaking poison, but the venomsnake doesn't seem bothered by the toxic leaking from it's wound. It is definately hurt, however, hurt enough that it can't get away from the pokeball anywhere as easily, nor can it break out. The ball seals with a sharp click. Jamie gains one Dex exp, and one untyped Exp for the learning event! Speedy gains 7 exp! The pokemon's stats will be PM'd in discord

sandsofazorinPokemon wouldn't be too hard to find, if not scarcely apart. Almost immediately close by, however, would be a Ratata, rustling a bush for the tiny, near-inedible berries it possessed, trying to get the ripe ones to the ground, it's attention split between shaking the bush, and checking for fresh food.

"Hey Aipom, I want you to join me on my exciting journey. What do you say to coming along?" calling out Rook, "We could even have a sporting duel to prove our worth as companions."
Pawniard seconded the sentiment, "Pawniard!" striking a hero's pose.

Tazukie The aipom seems hardly interested. It would sit up, but only to streach, it's waivering tail whiping out and tossing the applecore in your general direction. it always was a fairly rude, wild monkey, and it was living without so much of a care in the world.

Skylar had a bit of a cheeky grin on his face, the Rattata was distracted, wonderful! But then again... it would be rather rude to just go in without making it fair. "Coatli, use tackle!" He shouted as he gently placed the Turtwig down. The shouting wasn't so much a command, rather he was announcing his presence to the rattata. Coatli sprinted to the rattata, and tried to tackle it.

Rook put his hand-blade on his hip and let out a 'hurumph' sound.
"Cheeky Monkey, I know how to get his attention;" looking around to ensure there weren't unsuspecting pedestrian about, "Rook, whip up a Sandstorm!"

The ratata was still surprised by the force of the blow, at least, as it was sent through the insubstantial bush with a resounding crack. It wasn't going down without a fight, however, and, launching itself back through the bush, would rage in a tackle of it's own. xV4m0FlO1d20 AC3 Damage: 2d6+16 Round 2: The Ratata follows up immediately, however, launching into a quickattack to close the distance and, ideally for it, finish up the fight before it gets any more badly injured then it already is. 1d20 AC2 Damage: 2d6+16 1d20·2d6+16·1d20·2d6+16

Tazukie This gets the Aipom's attention, and, being buffeted by sand, launches itself out of the tree in an angry retribution. He runs past the two of you, his tail lashing angrily with it's claws. for Rook G1U1ift31d20 AC2 damage: 2d6+20For Orin 1d20 AC2 Damage: 2d6+20Round 2: The monkey is fast. It's avoided many a shopkeep before, it can easily outrun a freshblood trainer. And with the scent of blood on it's claws, it strikes again. Coatli barely managed to avoid the tackle from the Rattata, however she wasn't fast enough to react to the quick attack. Despite the good hit, she was still rearing to go. "Alright Coatli, one more tackle!" Skylar called out, as the mon quickly rammed into the wild pokemon.

Jamie picks up the pokeball and scans it with her pokedex before shoving it into her bag with a huff. "For the record, Speedy, whistling like that usually works a lot better." She gestures to her shoulder, and the Venipede climbs back up to his resting spot. "If there's no bugs this far out of the forest, I doubt there's any further in either. Guess it's the ones along the road for us, eh?" Turning around, she heads back towards the road, tracing her path so as to not run into any further Ekans.

sandsofazorinThe ratata takes the hit, and is sent flying backwards, back into the bush. This time, it does not emerge from it. Coatli gains 4 exp! infomantisThe trip back goes smoothly, slowed down by the thick 'grassland' of waist-high grass. back in the ankle-deep grass, the road is a hop skip and a jump away, as is the path it carved into the woods, sided by the encroaching trees looming. The pokemon on this outroad between her and town where all very weak, and scavengers more then hunters, this area poses no threat as long as you don't agress, much unlike the surrounding woods.

Skylar walked on over and gave Coatli an affectionate stroke on the head. Quickly, his attention turned to the rattata that was knocked out. He began to peel the branches a bit, trying to see where he landed. He believed he got the right area... and so he grabbed a couple of the ripe berries that the Pokemon was trying to grab, and placed them near the rattata. Once he was confident that the rattata was going to be alright, he backed away from the brush. This time however, he went to go find Jamie.

Reeling from the hits, both Orin and Rook felt the damage. 'I don't feel good, and Rook's looking roughed up too, we don't have much time.' "You good to go on?" Rook just stood back up and nodded. "Split up so he can't hit us both again," at that, Orin broke left and Rook broke right approaching the tree. Jamie looks around for a few seconds, trying to see if there are any decently sized bugs for the catching, before her eye is caught by Skylar. "Catch anything good yet?" she yells towards her companion as she starts walking over, her sight still roaming the grass.

Skylar nodded, as he called out his Caterpie. Once she was in his hands, he raised her up so that Jamie could get a good look at her. "A Caterpie, I named her Scuttle~" He said proudly, before placing her gently on his shoulder. Already he could feel her quickly gluing herself to his shoulder as she got used to her new vantage point.

infomantis sandsofazorin Skylar and jamie would quickly be able to meet up, there was hardly any visual obstructions in the area, and they where heading in the same general direction. Meeting up, you'd soon after see a torrent of sand spring up in the middle of town.
