"Nope!" Jamie grins while taking the money. "If anything, I think oddish is looking a bit better than he was before the battle, so thanks for that."
Turning to Orin and holding out his share of the prize, "So, we ready to go on, or you want to do some more preparation? Or lunch. I could go for lunch."

Orin heads out to the pokemon center, dropping off Rook, then handing over Bandit in his pokeball, "I don't know what standard procedure is for you, but he's in a mood, so best not let him out. Thank you."
After that, he would hed off to the mart to pick up a bite to tide him over untill dinner. Just a single hot dog and a snack bag of spicy chips. Nothing to heavy to bog him down, but enough to keep his energy up for the battle to come.

Jamie follows Orin to the pokecenter to drop off Speedy and Shapiro, but goes out a different way from Orin, heading over to the edge of town. As much as she'd love a nice premade lunch, she's still on a budget, not to mention more concerned about her Pokemon for the upcoming battle. Though there weren't any berries on the way to town, Jamie's still hopeful that she'll find some for her pokemon (and maybe one or two for herself).
tH5Xh1IB4d6+1 survival, +2 from survivalist if the berries are in the woods? I think?

Orin found a quite place outside to eat. Once settled, he called out Blitzle, Trubbish and Azurill to let them play and get to know one another. After eating he took out his craft kit and began to tinker, enjoying the sunlight.

The forest, especially this close to town, had very few berries available. Luckily, however, Jamie was able to find a few that where about to ripen. Still green enough to not be eaten by the wildlife, but a day in the bag, and they'd be ready for use. (2 Pechaberries obtained!)Still, the pickings where slim, not to mention well guarded by ekans mere meters away in the deeper woods. Going any further in search would garentee trouble.

Orin packed up hit kit and called out to his team, "all right, that's enough for now, bring it in."
Azurill was gleefully bouncing atop Trubbish, who was less then pleased with it. but made a game of trying (and failing) to catch the tail in her mouth. The all made their way in as they were recalled one by one to their poke balls. Orin saw Jamie emerging from the woods, "good timing, Rook and Bandit should be ready to go, just gotta pich them up, you ready for the gym?"
Jamie nodded, tucking the pecha berries into her bag, and the two headed to the poke center. Orin popped in to get the rest of his team and the proceeded to the gym. Orin waved and smiled at the trainer on the sidelines attending to her pair of Oddish.
"Gym leader straight ahead!"

Jamie followed Orin in to pick up her pokemon as well, waving to the nurse as she left.
As they walked the path back through the gym and to the gym leader, Jamie nudges Orin to get his attention. "Hey, just letting you know in advance, probably gonna lead with the Tympole if we're finally fighting water types. That might mean that they'll be going for you with attacks if they're following the same pattern as before, so be careful about that, ok?"

The gym leader, in all her serene grace, was watering her bonsai trees carefully, her blue kimono flowing gracefully with her movements as she tended to the tiny trees.

She'd pause, tilting her head a little and cracking the slightest of smiles. She'd set the can down, and turn to face them, arms tucked into her sleeves. "Are you quite sure? I watched your fights on the way in, and as admirably as you preformed, you seem to be pushing your Pokemon to the limit."

She'd nod, walking to one edge of the arena, standing on the podeum. A similar one lay on the far side, it looked like an olympic one, with three diffrent levels. "Take your position then. I shall test your temperance with the serene movements of my pokemon!"

It all seemed so real now, he was headed into his first gym leader battle. He wondered how his brother felt at this same moment in his pokemon career. For Orin, he was excited, he felt his nerves tingling, but knowing even if he failed today, it would make him stronger tomorrow. He moved to his place on the opposite end of the areana.

Jamie steps up along with Orin, turning to look over the field. The previous battles were intense already, but all those were only leading up to getting here, and she was going to give it her all. "Alright, we're ready! Let's do this!" she yells out loudly.

She'd smile, almost giggling a little, and sending out her first two pokemon, throwing the balls high into the air. They're release the contence onto the stage in a brilliant flash, revealing...

'so, it's some fish?' unimpressed with his challengers, the sudden realization dawned; this is a gym and there is no way it could be this easy.
"Fulgurite go!" tossing the ball to unleash Blitzle seemed like the most logical approach at the moment.
(speed is 15)
"We've got a big fight on our hands, so get charged up!" Fulgurite began to shimmer as his mane gained rigidity.
Fulgurite used Charge
Orin used Brutal Orders

Jamie looked at the gym leader's pokemon, slightly confused. Magikarp? She thought that the gym trainer earlier had said that the gym leader could evolve pokemon early, but there it is, still on the field. A Magikarp. "Alright, Spike, you're up!" The Kakuna pops out of the ball onto the field, glancing over the opposing enemies before hardening, clearly thinking that they'll be tougher than Jamie's opinion of them.

The gym leader would grin, and the two fish would split ways, splashing out in impressive jumps. the feebass headding to the top of the arena, the Magikarp headding to the southern edge, both attempting to stay just out of easy reach from either of the pokemon.
