Rook looks over his shoulder back at Orin to see if it's time to start. Orin quickly sidles over to Jamie speaking quickly but softly. "I was thinking about a Sandstorm to effectively negate any life steal these two might have in store, but that would also cut through the Defense Curl you just set up. Plan B is raw damage, thoughts?"

"Could work, but they're already pretty negated by our choice of Pokemon, and if it goes on for long, the sandstorm will wear at Speedy. Save it for if it's not going well, maybe? I know I'm gonna be going with plan B regardless." Jamie stopped speaking to Orin and directed her attention back to the starting battle. "Alright, while they're still together, use Screech!" Speedy trundles over, before stopping and letting out a piercing hiss directed in the general area of the oddish.

The oddish hit with the attack stays standing, twirling effortlessly with the blows. It'd hop from one foot, to the other, then bump into it's compatriot. They'd lured the two into range of a dual attack! The two filling the air with a heavy, and rapidly thickening pink fog, the scent it carried from either one alone more then enough to be sickeningly sweet, combined, it was practically overpowering. The sweet scent loomed around Rook, intoxicating. It pleased the Pawniard, lowering his guard, and as the cloud thickened, his desire to get closer to the oddballs increased. Though he was less likely to avoid contact with the odds, his desire to win a battle was no less diminished. "Focus Rook, pick your moment and strike."
Rook held his momentum and unleashed more fury, but left himself open to receive whatever the pair of plants would dish out next.

Orin shouts, waving Rook towards him, "It's down, great job! Now get out of there."
Because of those sweet smells, Orin didn't want Rook to be easy pickins. For the same reason, Room was hesitant to move away from the remaining plant, but trusted Orin. Since the first Oddish was down, Rook was no longer engaged with one and could retreat unaccosted. Rook retreated a few meters, secretly hoping the blue ball would follow.

Speedy's eyes start to droop slightly from the scent, though with his head tucked in he doesn't get the full brunt of the blast. Seeing that Rook had already felled his foe, Speedy rolls into the remaining oddish with as much force as he can muster.

The remaining oddish would teeter backwards, and then would flourish it's pedals a bit, and things would start getting rather bright, harsh sunlight reflecting up through the water, shining in from outside. The lighting in the building was almost as bright as a sunny day, as the trainer would wind up, and throw out a pokeball, small... stickers? on the outside exploding into a plume of cherry blossoms. It was hard to tell if they where coming from the pokeball, or the Cherrim inside, which was releasing them as well. The petals would settle on the oddish, and suddenly, it looked all the more imposing, as if it'd gained strength from the Flower Gift. The cherubi had been released so that it was flanking speedy, and in melee range with Rook, though this also meant that rook was flanking the Cherubi

Speedy was winding up for another hit on the Oddish when the Cherrim burst into the battle behind it, startling him slightly. "Don't worry Orin, I think we'll do a lot better in this battle. Besides, last one was just warmup, you know?" Jamie points a finger dramatically at the Cherrim. "This one's the big fight! Speedy, give it all you got!" Speedy quickly reverses direction, before spinning into the Cherrim, tail spines aimed directly at the Pokemon.

The cherrim would spin out of the way of the sting, the spin turning into a dancing motion, the cherryblossoms that lay on the ground and on the cherrim itself rising into the air, gaining rapid momentum, turning into pink razers that would whip around, assaulting both the combatants

There was no way that wouldent make contact, and Rook was battered with petals. "It's a bit to bright is here, do something about that Rook."
Swatting the last of the peatals away, Rook began to spin his blade hands conjuring all the grity sitting between the tiles, and silt from the waters to rise up ominusly. The brewing dusts blocked out the light in an attempt to power down the cherry combatant. The whipped up storm would blow away the sweet scent, but unfortunatly not its effects.

The remaining oddish would scrunch it's face angrily as it got a moutfull of sand, hacking a bit as an expression of intence distaste crosed it's face. Seing the spiked bug facing away from it, it'd take it's chance, and boot it like a soccer ball

Speedy doesn't even see the kick coming after being showered and sliced with petals and is swiftly booted, though the only real effect it has is to jab his spines towards the Cherrim a second time. Hissing at the offending Oddish and looking at both pokemon surrounding it, Speedy backs out towards the side carefully, looking for a way to dash out from the action before another strong attack from the Cherrim.

The leaves struk Rook like bullits on kevlar, he was still standing, but probably wouldent be able to take another hit like that. Rook tip's his hat to his opponant, welcoming and respecting the challange. "It's closing up, hit the sweet spot!"
Rook Flings the tipped hat right at the rivals core. Even if Rook couldent take it out, Orin hoped he could leave it in a condition that the sandstorm would take it out eventualy

The cherrim would wobble, the hat opening a hole in the veil that the flower pokemon would glare through, eyeing him with bloody murderous contempt. The oddish, seeing as it's mostly been ignored, would try again, booting the butt of the bug with all it's flower-boosted might.

Once again, Speedy is booted by the rampaging Oddish. Jamie yells, "Be careful of that petal attack! You can probably get out of range, though!" Spotting an opening, Speedy uncurls to get a better shot, before firing a third poison sting and rapidly disengaging from the fight away from Rook and the Cherrim.
