The next week went fairly slow in comparison to what you all experienced. It's hard to go back to traditional stuff after finding a parallel world filled with weird monsters and more weirdly dressed superheroes. You've all gotten to spend some time chatting with your shadows in the other world. Some just want to say hi, some want to show off their high score on super dance crabs 37, and some just want to discuss things like food. Your dreams have been fairly normal in comparison as well. No more nightclub, no more weird guy, just the usual stuff. on the day before the weekend, you each received a text from Mother.
-HAAAAAAAAIIII~~ ;D! Glad to see you're all still kicking and having fun! I know that I asked alot of you last time, but I wanted to repay you with something to both help you all have a good time, and grow a stronger bond with the rest of the group X3!! You'll never guess where1! It's so cool!! I'm so excited for you all!!!11!
We're going . . . .
. . . TO DREAMLAND!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!! CAN YOU BELIEVE IT?!?!?!
Sparrow didn't want to go at first, the little buzzkill, But I'm sure he'll enjoy it as soon as he gets there. It's like kids at camp! First they hate the idea of going, then they never want to leave! . . . Or get eaten by bears . . . WHaTEVER! Meet at the front entrance at 9:14!! If anyone needs a ride, I'd be happy to provide!! CY@ FOOOOOOOOOLS!!!!!"
She also included a map. The amusement park looks nice, and definitely not like a prison. Why would anyone EVER think this could be a prison? Shut up Ken. It's totally not a prison.
The very first thing Miguel wondered about this entire set-up was not that if this was a prison. The first question in his head was if the beautiful Doctor was wasted when she wrote this text down, and the second was if she just had some sort of mental disorder, because this didn't sound like the doctor at all. In fact, it sounded more like a kid on a sugar rush or a valley girl on red bull. Still, an invite from a hot woman was an invite from a hot woman, even if the place she sent looked ominous and gave him flashbacks to his past.
Since he was probably not allowed to openly get back-up from his Yakuza friends and acquaintances lest he spill things the world was not ready for criminals as a whole to know, he decided to tell them where he was and have his usual watchers -only with him when he went ways off from the usual Yakuza stomping grounds because he was a guest, after all- go in separate cars and then enter at different times. Probably more complex than what he should have done but complexity was the spice of life.
Thus, he had them go in first before he went over at the entrance ten minutes before the set time, wondering who all was gonna show up.
Suzume swung by the lovely elderly couples house. "Is Sparrow here? We're meant to be heading to Dreamland." She bounces on her feet waiting for him. Her bag is full of most necessities, and she has her Cornet with her. She got this feeling like a day out with Mother is unlikely to end without a trip to Mythos.
Nancy meets Suzume at the front door with a bag of treats, and a sweet old lady demeanor. Upon opening the door Suzume can see William inside tending to some sweet rolls in the kitchen, and Sparrow sits at one of the tables typing on his cell. He looks exhausted, and a bit more irritable than usual.
"Yes yes! He told us about that! Oh I'm so happy for you all, I'm sure you'll have fun. I prepared our new tiger rolls for everyone. There should be enough for you each to have 2. Taig- uh . . Sparrow! C'mon Suzume's here to pick you up!"
Sparrow glances up and notices you. He grabs his bag, puts on a baseball cap to hide his face, and heads over, hunched over and pissy. Nancy hands him the bag with a kind smile, but he fails to reciprocate.
Suzume thanks Nancy and gives a smile as they leave. Once they're clear of the shop she starts trying to find out what's wrong with Sparrow. "You really don't wanna go to this amusement park, huh? What gives?"
As Suzume and Sparrow get a good distance away from the shop, Sparrow responds
"Theme parks are horrible. They're loud, you wait in line in the boiling sun forever to ride something for 12 seconds, everything overpriced, the drinks are designed to make you thirstier than you were before, there's always some kid crying over something, usually me, and Nancy and William seem to love Irish folk music at three in the morning"
As you all arrive at the entrance of the park at your designated times, you'll notice just how overwhelming the scale of the thing is. Miguel's men, Kuro and Kuchi, took their times scanning the park, but had a difficult time just finding their way around. Miguel even got a text from Kuchi saying he was lost in Frontierland and very scared because there's alot of kids with guns, and he can't tell which are fake. We don't trust Kuchi with really important missions. Kuro managed to get a great sweep of the place, and confirmed that there was no immediate threat in the area, and was prepared to being shadowing Miguel upon his request. He also won an 8 foot banana plushie, and he's not sure how.
Ciara and Sparrow had a quiet walk to the entrance. They would be the second group to arrive, seeing Miguel waiting by his lonesome next to a tree with a jester like mascot cut out next to it. Ciara would arrive third, and eventually Mother, accompanied by a high school aged girl with a similar appearance . . . but high school aged. Mother waves at you all. The student waves harder.
Reading Mother's text planted the thought of blocking her number. Jericha shrugged, and got ready to get going. She had never been to Dreamland, so this was sure to be pretty cool. After a bit of a warm up, she decided to jog all the way there. A very good workout indeed. As she began approaching the gate, she studied the massive, and detailed map. This park was very impressive. Jericha arrived at the front gate, and looked around for the others. "Geez. I really don't wanna get lost at the freakin' entrance."
"Well, that sounds like a pain alright. Doing stuff with family can be a bit of a buzzkill. You're not going with family this time, we're friends. We can joke around and the lines won't be as boring. She thinks of all their new companions. "Ciara might still want to listen to Irish music... but maybe we can split up then." She gives him a reassuring smile. When they reach the others she waves to Miguel. "Hey Miguel, here bright and early then?"
Miguel frowned when he took out his phone and read the text that Kuchi was lost and was scared by children and didn't know which guns were fake or real. He knew that Kuchi tended not to be the most competent person but by Jesus this was a goddamned amusement park, not a shady circus or Yakuza den. You'd think he'd know by now to figure that out. With a grumble, he texted his guard to remember his training and his experiences to remember the real from the fakes before moving on to text Kuro with an affirmative and that he would give him an ETA when he started moving.
After a little bit, he looked up and waved at Suzume and Sparrow when they approached. "Mhm. Figured it would have been rude to do it the way I'm used to." Thirty minutes or so later, which was Spanish standard. The Japanese hated that sort of thing so he refrained from it. He then nodded at Jericha and Ciara when they came, then grinned and waved when he saw the doctor with a blonde that looked remarkably like her.
He was not surprised to hear that they were sisters... but then his smile dropped at the last sentence. That was not a good sign. "...but we didn't. You did, Beautiful. Granted, you texted like you were on a massive sugar rush when you wrote it, but you did. I didn't even know this place was here, and I doubt the other three did either." He showed his phone with the text message -either the message itself or the screen shot if the message vanished- complete with Mother's number attached to the message.
Suzume thought nothing of Sparrow's silence, he was already less than talkative today. She waves to the blonde duo. "Hiya! Oh more codenames? But you know our names. Well actually guess you don't yet, Easter. I'm Suzume."
Mother looks at Miguel with a bit of concern as she reads off Miguel's phone
"I. . . I definitely didn't write this. Easter told me that she had asked you all what you would like to do and that you-"
At that moment the wheels started turning in mother's head, as she shot a death glare over to her younger sister. Easter refused to make eye contact, trying to laugh off the situation. It wasn't working.
"Ok, MAYBE I took a bit of initiative, and decided where everyone would like to go FOR them! If anything I was being considerate. And besides, this is DREAMLAND!! You know, a LITERAL PLACE OF DREAMS! This is going to be so much fun!~ Trust me, you'll all be thanking me later"
Mother facepalms, and Sparrow, while fairly still, seems like he's about to have an aneurysm.
Jericha makes her way to where Mother, Sparrow, Suzume, and some blonde chick gathered. As she approached, she could hear the cheerful explanation of how they got lured to the amusement park. "Yooo. So, we just got tricked into coming here? Eh. Whatever. Do we gotta pay to get in tho?"
"I-I don't know everything about your lives!! Easter just told me she got in contact with you all and-"
"C'mon C'MON!! Enough with the blame game! I got the tickets, we're already here, why not at least TRY and enjoy ourselves? You're all going to love it I'm pretty sure about that!"
Easter hands all of you your tickets, and you make your way through the entrance. Despite what one may feel about being tricked into an outing here, the grandeur of it all is still rather impressive. You're immediately met with the dream palace, a center of the park and easily recognized landmark to help guide guests back to the entrance. There are 5 main sections of the park to be explored
Frontierland: Inspired by Cowboys and Westerns Fantasyland: A place for princesses and sweets Futureland: The epitome of 1950's futuristic technology Forestland: A well maintained forest with a zoo Fearland: A place of nightmares, and the most thrilling rides
Each section of the park has it's own selection of food, rides, games, and mascots.
Jericha takes her ticket, and enters the park with everyone else. She spins the map around a few times before she can find where they are. Looking over the 5 sections offers some ideas of where to go, but one really stands out. "Hmmm...Western stuff...What? Princess stuff...Nah...1950's tech!?...Nightmare stuff..Ehhh....Trees and a z-....Forestland. Let's go to Forestland first."

Hi there! I'm Seya, a 24 y.o. editor in Atlantic Canada. I enjoy writing, reading, webcomics, art, worldbuilding, and video games (I can talk for ages about SotC and Monster Hunter...). Although I'm relatively new to playing Pokémon Tabletop via forum, I've been putting together sites like this for a long time, and I'm really excited to work with you all to create an awesome environment for Pokémon roleplay. While my job here is primarily to keep the site running smoothly, I'm always happy to chat, offer advice, and deal with any problems you run across. Let me know if I can be of any help. Inbox is always open! Cheers! xx :)
Hello! I'm Sly, the East Coast mod representative! I'm a 22 year old tax accountant who is exactly as exciting as that sounds, I'm sure. PTU is my major hobby, I run several games (of which the Geode games are my pet project), and I read a disgusting amount of fanfiction. I've been a member of the community for about a year, consider myself more GM material than player material, and am dedicated to helping make your time here enjoyable! If there's ever anything you need, don't be afraid to send me an owl! (Or a PM, I guess, if that works better for you.)
Hey there! I’m DataNinja, the West Coast representative. I'm the most active Staff member on here, so if you need something, try giving me a poke first, and I'll see if I can help sort out your problem. Always happy to help!
(1 May 2015): "For our first pack, we’re focusing on utility character options. Hopefully, this will give you both interesting insights into our dev process as we make changes over time and another focused avenue to give us feedback on what you’d like to see out of PTU."
People are out there, yes, but if you're looking for a game, sorry to say that things seem to be winding down overall. There's basically been... 3 games in the last 2 years, none of which got off the ground.

It's very slow, yes. You'll probably finish working on your game before one pops up here, and if you create a recruitment for it you can expect to be swarmed with applicants.

New games seem to open up slowly here, but if new people are still welcome, I don't mind waiting around (or working on my own). It looks like there's some useful stuff to browse in the meantime.

Keep an eye on the recruitment area of this website. They're rare nowadays, but any new games that crop up will show up there. If it's a live game you want though, you're outta luck.

but how else do i find games then?

Sounds to me like they weren't a group you'd want to be part of anyway.

i wanted to join a living server on roll20 to learn the system but they ignored my application for 2 weeks then blocked me

Basically, GMs post recruitments in the appropriate section, and then players apply to the open games. Unfortunately, there has been a rather... small amount of games posted lately, but there's one currently recruiting right now.
