SarcourneWorking character concept. If anything seems awry, please let me know! Hope it's not too over-done. Post Edit: Fixed the link.

You have not applied skill points to Scorch. You did not leave a blank Pokemon template to copy, which may cause trouble down the line if you want to catch more Pokemon. That's all that immediately leaps out to me.

That's all that immediately leaps out to me. Yeah, I had to do some things around the house. I'll finish the details, items, and maybe tweak some things. Glad to hear it's alright overall, though.

Also, his inventory is completely empty. Unless you're planning on a "deprived" build, you may want to pick up at least a suit of armor.

Yeah, armor and weapons are considerably more expensive than your average every-day items. That said, here is my own crunch for review

UPDATE: In light of humans not being able to afford armor, I have increased your starting cash from $5000 to $10,000. Enjoy that light armor!

How long has it been since everything started going Hollow? Is this like a post-apocalypse setting everywhere around the world? I've never played a Souls game and only have a vague understanding of the lore from watching videos of it.

An undetermined amount of time has passed, but if you want something to compare it to, it's like Lothric in Dark Souls 3- everything is starting to crumble, but is otherwise basically intact.

Light Armor is 8,000 (of our 10,000) for +5 DR to just Physical or Special; that leaves just 2,000, which is probably best used on an Estus Flask as I expect them to be important.
I am not entirely sure that taking 5 less damage from only one attacking form is worth 80% of our starting funds. With how rocket taggy PTU tends to be, it might not even equal out to living through an extra hit before KO. There is a non-insignificant chance it won't apply at all, even.
On a side note, is this campaign going to be super lethal? It is a worry of mine given the source material.

Depends on your definition of "lethal." If by that you mean for Trainers, then not particularly, unless you insist on taking to the front lines or run out of Pokemon; Hollows always target Pokemon in preference of people, and can be ditched very easily if things go against you. Pokemon? Yeah, it could be lethal for them, but that's what Bonfires are for.

Wilson, starting out as a Swarmlord/Backpacker! I'm still working on what to buy, but it's mostly done. Questions! 1. Since I'm starting out with the Apricorn Balls edge, would it be possible to buy Apricorns (they don't have a listed price), or maybe get their respective pokeballs at a discount? 2. I want to apply one of the Skill Stunts I'm getting from Backpacker to General Education, but I have no idea what I could specify. Could I get some suggestions?

In order: - No, due to the low incidence of catchable Pokemon. While it's good to have a few just in case, most of the Pokemon in the region have gone Hollow; those that haven't tend towards the strong side, and are almost NPCs in their own right.
- I would suggest history of the Unova region. For example, it would be useful to know which side of the war a particular village was on. If it's still inhabited, displaying the other side's banners and sigils openly may not be a good idea.

Okay, so I'm very interested in this, but have never played dark souls, so my initial questions are more about how much my first idea fits in than mechanics.
1) I was thinking of playing a pacifist, someone who focuses on buffing and healing allies, and nerfing enemies, but choosing to abstain from any direct attacking himself. Sort of a very religious priest worshipping [insert appropriate generic god of goodness and helping people.] He'd probably be going to Unova initally intending to help people and pokemon trapped there, more as a missionary than an adventurer. Would this work within the game world's fluff? Would a pure support character be useful within the party? I'm still thinking his pokemon would fight, just not himself and it'd be more of a guard dog situation, though I may choose to make his pokemon a healer/annoyer type too...
2)Ghost pokemon. How do they work? Will Spell tags have any additional effects on hollowed pokemon?
Edit: 3- if we pick a pokemon that evolves @ level 10 (or 5 I suppose in the case of some bugs), can they be in their second form, even if it isn't an underdog? What about held item evolutions? I assume we need to pay for the item out of our starting funds.

In order: - Making a pure support character is fine. This isn't the Dark Souls game, so you can have a PC focused on buffs/debuffs while the rest focus on damage.
- Hollowing, from a purely mechanical standpoint, simply means "this Pokemon cannot be caught" and "this Pokemon is for getting XP from." Beyond that, Hollow Pokemon (like Hollows in Dark Souls, will not enter the light of a Bonfire- but normal Pokemon can. As for Spell Tags, they work equally well against Hollow ghosts as normal ghosts.

3. Tutoring is allowed. TMs are not; teaching Pokemon moves from TMs is handled by the Fire Keepers. Unless your PC is training to become a Fire Keeper, the only way a move from a TM can be learned is from a Fire Keeper. If you want your PC to become a Fire Keeper, PM me so we can work out the details. What would the cost be for tutoring from the Mentor base feature?
