Cassandra replies to the message promptly, stating that if 'Ceres of Dispatern Industries' wants her eyewitness report, they can get a copy from Professor Rowan, as she would only be repeating what she put in the report. That business handled, Cassandra keeps her Pokemon (and herself) in top form with mock battles and practice tracking missions.

"I believe the pokemart would be beneficial. Supplies are quite low as of our last mission. Come Mirk," Shoko calls out to the dragonair who slipped out of her coat and was slithering its way around the pokemon center as low to the ground as possible. "Save the spy/ninja act for another point. We have things to buy." Mirk perked up and his ears visible wiggled for a moment, happy to potentially get himself some food or more lemonades.
"I might do a bit of light training after the shop to let Mirk stretch out before heading to the hotel. I suppose the rest of you are free to join me or go elsewhere, but I highly suggest you all rest well before we continue. Our group will function most optimally that way." Shoko pulled out her dowsing rod as she walked out and began making her way to the pokemart. Her luck had run out for the day it seemed, but she always enjoyed using them regardless.

Evie emerges from her room in the morning looking a little mystified by the email she received overnight. "Anybody know who this Ceres is? Shoko mentioned corporate guys yesterday, I know. They working with the Prof?" Those paying attention may have noticed that she didn't refer to Professor Rowan as 'the Prof' face-to-face yesterday. At this point, though, she's as confused as to how this person got her contact information as anything else.
"Think responding to this is a good idea?" she asks the others, on the assumption that they're more familiar with the situation in the city than she is. At least she has some money on hand now... perhaps she'll trail along after Shoko and Karla after all. She's been running on 'almost broke' for so long that she's not sure how to handle it; she's really not very good with money, but she's hoping that going along with someone will help her keep a bit of a rein on her spending. Though she definitely wants to train today, too.

As Cassandra finishes up her training she is approached by another trainer. "Hey. Your pokemon look pretty strong. You up for a 3v3 battle?" She asks.
Evie, Shoko and Karla have two options for shopping - the Seagarden Department Store, which is similar to the one in Veilstone, and the Southern Dock Market, which primarily caters to tourists.

Shoko begins walking in the direction of the seagarden department store. "If you do not object we will head to the main department store. It should have what we need. I'm curious about the market but we can easily go there either afterwards or before we leave the island."
"Mirk, inventory time." She caresses the secondary head popping out of her collar before it recedes into her backpack. He pops his head back out occasionally producing small laminated pictures each time. "Running low on lemonade... we need potions... knew that already. Oh? Low on pokeballs? We'll fix that. Anything else? More snacks... hmm, fine but ration them this time please." Mirk perked up and wiggled his winged ears as it smiled and returned to coiling itself on Shoko. "Wait..."
Shoko pulled out her phone to text Evie: "Shopping. Will get back to you on Ceres. Decision there is... difficult to make, but I'm likely to meet with them. Didn't mean to ignore your question earlier. Distractions, sorry. "

Cassandra thinks for a moment, sizing this trainer up. Generally her Pokemon work better with her in the mix, or battling in tandem, but it's not as if they can't hold their own.
"Very well." She replies. She whistles sharply, and her Golbat, who had been roosting nearby, flutters over and lands atop her outstretched arm. Cassandra briefly wonders if the fact her Golbat has no eyes will startle her opponent. Anyone with experience wouldn't be bothered, but a novice may allow themselves to become unnerved by what is clearly a mutated Pokemon (even if the mutation is among those less obvious).

"I don't know Shoko, the market might have some things cheaper. I'd hate to buy stuff in the department store at the usual prices and then discover I'd wasted money." Karla says back to Shoko, and waits to see where the scientist opts to shop then before following her.

Evie shrugs. "If the Market's mostly for tourists, it might be more overpriced." Though she's inclined to think the whole city is tourist trap central in any case.
She angles towards the department store, considering Shoko's reply even if it came by phone. At least she's not the only one who feels like the message is at least a little suspicious. Then again, she's from Veilstone - she saw enough of the old Team Galactic when she was younger that she's still not sure she trusts Dispatern Industries in general. As long as it's been, it's hard to find actual evidence that Saturn and his company haven't genuinely turned over a new leaf, but Evie's the type to listen to her gut and she still feels like something's off. The Prof even has them in on the whole Red Chain search, and if anyone in Sinnoh is more put together than Professor Rowan she doesn't know it, but still... maybe she's never going to trust them completely even if they do prove to be entirely on the up-and-up.

Shoko continued to lead the way to the department store but spoke loudly enough for the others to hear, " I will visit both, but my healing and adventuring supplies... I trust the stores. I will buy a basic supply there. Further supplements or items of interest can come from the market but adventures require certain guarantees. Guarantees come from the department." Her flat tone continued to be indicative of a calculated decision as was her usual manner. " If you wish to peruse the market first, we can meet later." She redirected her attention back to the department store which would soon come in sight. She began to type a shopping list hoping to not forget any vital supplies. Her phone currently shows the following list: ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Basics Potion x5 (1000?) Super potion x5 (1900?) MooMoo Milk x5 (if available) (2500) Lemonade x3 (Mirk necessity) (750) Basic ball x8 (1500) Some sort of weapon (1handed?)
Total = 7650+ at avg prices (may vary)
Wishlist: Darkvision goggles (1000?) note to self: Budget is tight :\ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

The department store is a multi-storey building, filled with shelves that are crammed together with the merchandise.Right now only the counter on the bottom floor is open, with a single bored looking teenager manning it. It looks like a slow business day so far, but it is fairly early on a Wednesday morning.
Beyond that it looks like you can get almost anything pokemon related here, with an open air cafe on the roof for trainers.

"I will be securing weaponry first, or at least, finding a reasonable price estimate. I suggest we split here and reconvene near the entrance in an hour. If there are no objections, I will continue."
Shoko begins to make her way through the store looking for store signs and occasionally asking for directions before hoping she found the right section.

"Yeah sure, I'll see what I can find that'll help. See you later." Taking the hint that Shoko isn't exactly looking for company, Karla goes off herself to look through the balls, restoratives and maybe some new shoes and equipment. Looks for availability of Dusk, Net and Ultra Balls, Super Potions, Heal Powder, Revival Herbs, Fresh water and Lemonade, Dark Vision Goggles, Gas Mask, Running Shoes, Ice Type Booster or somehow Ice Plate

Evie considers her own situation. She should probably buy some more medicine, maybe Pokéballs too; the next mutant they seek out might not be so considerate as to hide in the middle of a city. She could buy saddles, but all of her Pokémon would need different ones, and in any case she's confident enough in her ability to ride without them. She wanders over to the medicine department herself to grab some more potions and bandages. After that maybe she'll see what's available in the Pokéballs department. She doesn't see any particular need to pick up a weapon for herself, at least not at the moment. If she needs to hit something for herself she can manage it on her own. Buying Super Potion x2, Hyper Potion x1, Bandages x2, Full Heal x2; total 3060. Probably buying Pokéballs of some sort too pending availability knowledge.

Shoko finds that the 'weapons section' of the store is woefully understocked and seems more concerned with children's toys. Despite this you find a perfectly serviceable fibreglass baton, a plastic slingshot that is loaded and fired like a crossbow and a good quality hunting knife.
Karla finds everything she's after, but the Darkvision Goggles and Gas Mask have been doubled in price, seemingly because of supply issues with the manufacturer, Silph Co.
Evie finds everything she's after, along with their stock of speciality pokeballs: Moon, Fast, Heavy, Dive, Dusk, Net and Lure balls.

Karla buys some Balls, Restoratives and gets some good new shoes and an Ice Booster to help her fight.
She then waits for the others to finish shopping, having sent a bit much to be looking to get anything else in the market.

Shoko looks mildly disappointed but picks up the crossbow slingshot deeming it useful in combat in that it keeps her at a range. She purchases it and continues her shopping also buying the rest of the restoratives and pokeballs on her list. Despite the increased cost, she purchases the goggles as well given her tendency to explore caves (and having forgotten her usual pair at home, one can never have too many of these anyways). She hands over a total of 11650 throughout the store, but she finds it to be worth it so that she is much more prepared.
"Hmm, funding is low after this preparation. Must secure further funding. Be prepared Mirk."
She finishes her shopping at the entrance to the store where she agreed to meet everyone and is fiddling with her phone in the mean time while occasionally looking around at random free brochures found in almost every store hoping to find something to keep her attention.

Evie grabs a couple Fast and Heavy Balls; after all, her favorite breeds of Pokémon tend to be large enough to ride and as fast as she can get them, and both Noxra and that Inkay have proven that mutants have been known to come bigger than usual. She considers a Moon Ball as well, since she'd like to catch a Nidorina sometime, but decides against it when she figures out the chunk this shopping trip has already taken out of the money they were paid. She really needs to learn to hold on to her money better. With her purchases made, she wanders up to the front of the store where Shoko is loitering. "We about done?"Fast Ball x2, Heavy Ball x2, total $3200, grand total $6260.

"I've got pretty much everything I wanted. And spent almost all my funds. I'm not so interested in the market now, but you're probably right that it'll b a rip off, Shoko."
