==Tulidaisy Town== The relaxed atmosphere in Tulidaisy Town was accentuated with the sound of running rivers and charming cries of local Grass and Bug type Pokemon. With flower fields in full bloom, the small town was something to behold. The more traditional architecture also gave a sense of nostalgia. The Grass Gym seemed to be popular, as did the flower fields nearby. One factory seemed to exist near the town outside of the city limits, but it appeared inert. The small Amphitheater was located near the large blossom tree at the town's center, right next to the Pokemon Center, the Poke Mart, and the kiosk in front of the Pokemon Center. The people here seemed to be very relaxed, owing to the town's calmer nature.
Kaleo gently walks in with eyes glued to the serene town, hands in pockets and headphones ringing with music. He closes his eyes for only a second to take off the headphones and attach them onto his belt buckle, as he inhales generously the fresh air given off by the bountiful nature. He wears a smile of ambition and excitement. "So, this is Tulidaisy. A fitting name for a fitting town." Out of the corner of his eye, he spots a tree with shade, so he walks over to sit under it and unpacks his guitar, Lucille. "Although I have a job to do, I might as well practice in the meantime in case I can set up a gig in that beautiful amphitheater. It also doesn't hurt to wait for the teammates that I heard about as well." He thought to himself.
Falkner approaches his new group confidently before exclaiming, "Hello! I am Joseph Falkner, though I quite prefer to be called Falkner... Too many Josephs running around. Either way I have a couple of things to do while I'm here. I plan to catch a pokemon to help me with the local gym..." A spark of electricity dashes off his shoulder as he releases a wide grin, "... hopefully something like a Joltik though anything effective against the gym would do. After that I plan to either visit the factory or the gym. Never know what you might find in an abandoned factory! Did you need anything from me?"
Kaleo opens his eyes widely at the speed at which he found one of his teammates, and such gusto was unexpectedly brought to him. He stands up after he had just sat down, a little embarrased. "Uh, h-hello!" He smiled, trying to grasp his confidense back. "Falkner, was it? The name is Kaleo Yeates." He gestures his hand outwards before he realizes that he just saw electricity come off from Falkner's shoulder, realizing that he doesn't wanna get zapped. He swiftly pulls his hand behind his head to motion he needed to scratch it. "Haha, ehm, anyways. It's good to finally meet you!"
Darrik strolls down by the river eating the last of the wild berries he foraged. He comes around a bend and sees the garden town ahead of him. I guess it’s time to reenter society, good thing I had Dreki spray the gunk off of me earlier. He nears the edge of town and sees a couple of people under the shade. That guy’s got a guitar, so that’s probably the group I’m looking for. He approaches the group and leans against his walking stick.“Hey guys, how’s it goin’. I’m Darrik.” he says with a smile.
"And here we are," Ambrose declares as he and the small Gothita trailing behind him reach the town limits. "Never realized how long this kind of thing took when you're limited to walking."
"Gothi," his pokemon replies sagely, hopping up to catch onto his backpack and fish around for a water bottle.
"Ah, much obliged Marple," Ambrose says as she hands him the bottle over his shoulder. Taking a swig of water and handing it back to Marple, he begins making his way into town, soon finding what looks like his assigned group - "guitar musician and man in a black coat with bits of lightning rod sticking out of him" is a hard combination to miss.
Ambrose comes up as the (presumably) fourth member of the group introduces himself. "Likewise, I'm Ambrose."
Kaleo was now a little flustered. Such flashy characters were coming up to him left and right just as he was about to sit down and practice. "Well well, I had heard that there was going to be three other members for this shindig, but I hadn't the faintest idea of seeing you guys so soon. No matter, the name's Kaleo Yeates! It's good to finally meet ya all. Looks like we're in this for a bit of the long-haul, I hope to get to know you all better." He says with an enthusiastic smirk
"I'm sure that we will," Ambrose replied with a friendly smile and a polite bow, before turning to the other distinctive individual. He creased his eyebrows in confusion as he took in the boy's... unique appearance.
"...Decisive wardrobe choice," Ambrose said finally, before slipping into his more automatic formal greeting mode as the group finished exchanging names. Once the pleasantries were dealt with, he relaxed back into his marginally more casual demeanour. "Now then, had any plans been made prior to our arrival? I had intended to stop by the local Pokémon gym, dip my toes in the water. So to speak."
"I'm up to see what's goin' down with the gym. I need to figure out a game plan to beat it." Darrik looked almost sheepishly at his pokeballs. "Ya see, I specialize in water Pokemon, so this is basically a challenge run for me." Darrik laughed nervously at the thought of grass types Absorbing the souls of his Pokemon.
"But yeah, I've been off of 'the beaten path' or whatever for a while and I'm ready to check out what the town has to offer. Let's go check it out."
Kaleo was impressed by Ambrose's suave nature, something he admired in people growing up. "And a water specialist, huh? Very interesting" He made a mental note. "I agree, the journey of a thousand steps starts with one after all. Heading into town and finding out more about it could lead us to better handle the gym. Asking people for tips could work, Barters, shopkeeps, residents, all of those points of interests should know a good deal." Kaleo closed his eyes and put his hand on his chin in deep thought. "Hmm, no need to rush but if it comes down to it I could also give us a peer into our situation, though it's possible it might take awhile to decipher...", Kaleo said, not realizing he stated something vaguely to the rest of the group.
"No better advice than experience, I say. And if me fighting first gives you the information you need to decide your own strategy, so much the better." Ambrose made to leave, his Gothita skipping along behind him. (Happy to skip straight to the gym once intros are done)
"Hmm that should work. I'll try asking around about any local Joltik before reconvening at the Gym. All right that's the plan!" Falkner immediately heads off without so much as a goodbye. He looks determined but lost.
For about 30 minutes Falkner goes around the town asking about any local Joltik. He specifically asks those with impressive looking bug pokemon, police officers, and any form of information booths. If his search comes up with nothing he just returns to the Gym ready to take it on.
Most people, when asked, pointed to the factory for the searching of Joltik and other electric types. One such individual did have more to share however, the individual being a local League Enforcement Officer. "There has been suspicious activity near the factory recently. If you're planning on paying a visit, just be super aware of your surroundings."
If his lead wasn't followed, the Gym was a greenhouse / arboretum, and was a standout building in the small town.
Falkner quickly runs to the Gym after talking to the police officer to contact the rest of the group. When finding them he pipes up, "Hey, I figured out there are some Joltiks in the factory. There is a small problem though because apparently there has been some suspicious activity recently. Doesn't put me off going but never a bad idea to group up and go together in case its something I can't handle alone."
Falkner looks towards the group for agreement or disagreement before deciding to at least check it out if the group doesn't want to go. At the very least he could take it slow and quickly run away if it was too dangerous.
Falkner begins to walk off without a word before turning around and saying, "Ohh I'm headed to the factory now. Feel free to come along although if the whole group doesn't come with we should be ready to run."
"...Suspicious activity you say?" Ambrose raised an eyebrow and stroked his chin thoughtfully. "Well, that's not something to be ignored. And in any case, what kind of teammate would I be if I just left you on your own without any backup?" Ambrose glanced up at the gym behind him. "Guess I'll be taking a raincheck for the moment - lead the way, Mister Falkner."
(Letting Falkner take the lead on searching, Ambrose will be there mainly to provide backup if something untoward happens)
"No objections here", he shrugs. "We're comrades now, Falkner. I'll stick to your back like glue, so long as you have enough glue to stick to mine." Kaleo strikes a questioned look as if to wonder how that would work literally. "Anywho, onward then, to the great unknown." Kaleo puts his hands in his pockets and trods with the rest of the group as he whistles to the music he's listening to with his headphones.
You can tell the factory was used recently, or is currently occupied by something or someone.
The factory itself was standing tall and silent, though it seemed well taken care of. It stood out like a sore thumb amid the natural surroundings that existed around Tulidaisy Town, and several Magnemite were already present and floating around the area. The air seemed charged and tense, though there were no other Trainers yet...
"I kinda get the feeling that someone is hanging around this place, we might want to be careful. But these steel types will probably be useful for the gym." Darrik approaches a Magnemite floating around on its own.
"Hmm... no reason to turn back now though. There are Joltiks to find!" Falkner bravely strides forward specifically searching for small electric bugs by going further into the factory. He gives no care to the possible dangers the factory might hold and motions his allies to follow. When seeing Darrik inspect the Magnemite, Falkner only comments, "Good choice! If you need me just yell and I'll be here quicker than you can imagine."
Falkner doesn't seem to notice or understand the rest of the party's worry about others potentially within the factory and just continues with a smile on his face.

Hi there! I'm Seya, a 24 y.o. editor in Atlantic Canada. I enjoy writing, reading, webcomics, art, worldbuilding, and video games (I can talk for ages about SotC and Monster Hunter...). Although I'm relatively new to playing Pokémon Tabletop via forum, I've been putting together sites like this for a long time, and I'm really excited to work with you all to create an awesome environment for Pokémon roleplay. While my job here is primarily to keep the site running smoothly, I'm always happy to chat, offer advice, and deal with any problems you run across. Let me know if I can be of any help. Inbox is always open! Cheers! xx :)
Hello! I'm Sly, the East Coast mod representative! I'm a 22 year old tax accountant who is exactly as exciting as that sounds, I'm sure. PTU is my major hobby, I run several games (of which the Geode games are my pet project), and I read a disgusting amount of fanfiction. I've been a member of the community for about a year, consider myself more GM material than player material, and am dedicated to helping make your time here enjoyable! If there's ever anything you need, don't be afraid to send me an owl! (Or a PM, I guess, if that works better for you.)
Hey there! I’m DataNinja, the West Coast representative. I'm the most active Staff member on here, so if you need something, try giving me a poke first, and I'll see if I can help sort out your problem. Always happy to help!
(1 May 2015): "For our first pack, we’re focusing on utility character options. Hopefully, this will give you both interesting insights into our dev process as we make changes over time and another focused avenue to give us feedback on what you’d like to see out of PTU."
People are out there, yes, but if you're looking for a game, sorry to say that things seem to be winding down overall. There's basically been... 3 games in the last 2 years, none of which got off the ground.

It's very slow, yes. You'll probably finish working on your game before one pops up here, and if you create a recruitment for it you can expect to be swarmed with applicants.

New games seem to open up slowly here, but if new people are still welcome, I don't mind waiting around (or working on my own). It looks like there's some useful stuff to browse in the meantime.

Keep an eye on the recruitment area of this website. They're rare nowadays, but any new games that crop up will show up there. If it's a live game you want though, you're outta luck.

Sounds to me like they weren't a group you'd want to be part of anyway.

Basically, GMs post recruitments in the appropriate section, and then players apply to the open games. Unfortunately, there has been a rather... small amount of games posted lately, but there's one currently recruiting right now.
