Nester gives a small frown at Corbett's description of his shot "The problem with that angle is that one bad factor and every field group in a good half kilo will ninety degree and bail. Growlithe's ain't the only ones with sharp noses."

Corbett looks genuinely impressed by flarnith's powerful personality. Like he just met his hero type of look.
"Wow, I didn't think about that. Are you our commanding officer?"

"I'm thinking of it for emergencies, all the better if things out there run away. If fang is trained to follow it, it could help to regroup should we get separated. You do bring up a good point though, the possibility of a tracing something nasty." Pondering for a moment, "I figure I could be cautious with it, for example climb a tree and break the pellet 30ft away while keeping an eye on the spot."

Receiving the question, the AI took on a different expression, the avatar updating accordingly. It seemed smug somehow. As it was about to reply though, Vicky's question came in, causing it to pause a moment.
As the group of Trainers conversed and showed off their Pokemon and items to each other, the avatar changed to an exasperated pose. When they were finished conversing, the AI spoke.
"Gym Leader's battle style? I can help there, certainly! The Gym Leader of Boardwalk Resort uses Water-type Pokemon, and prefers all out assault strategies. The battlefield is the actual Water Park, so expect her to know how to use the many slides and fountains to her advantage."
Changing the pose again to a contemplative one, it continued. "As for catching Wild Pokemon, anywhere nearby is fine, Trainers. Fishing rods can be rented by the beach. I'd recommend it, like, a 50 Poke deposit lets you fish as long as you want, with the deposit returned to you when you return the rod. It's a good deal. You can also try the local pathways leading to the nearby reserves. While they do require a paid ticket to enter, they do let you catch all the Pokemon you want. You have to use the Poke Balls they provide, and you'll only get 10 of them, so be very selective about what you want to get."

"Ooh, the reserves seem promising." Vicky reacts, "They should also have some grass type Pokemon, which would be really effective agaisnt the gym's water types."

"I agree, fishing for water types might level the playing field, but grass with give an advantage. Having fire types is less then optimal against a water gym."

"Anyone else have anywhere they'd like to go before then?" Vicky asks the rest of the group, "If not, where's the nearest of those reserves computer?"

"I'll be ready in a few, while you figure out the best route to the reserves, i want to spend some time with Faulkner."
Arnold unclips a pokeball from his belt and summons a Ponyta before him, "Hiya honey," he pets his friend in greeting, "Faulkner, I learned something I think you'd find helpful, let me show you."
Pulling out his notebook, Arnie flips to one of the Litwick pages, specifically Fire Spin. Showing it to his ponyta, he begins to mimic the motions in the drawing, as well as speaking to his friend emphatically. Faulkner stamps its hooves, and moves about spouting gouts of flames. After a bit of this, Ponyta successfully uses a Fire Spin.
Arnie activates his Daily usage of Archive Tutor to teach Ponyta Fire Spin.

"I've my own rod for fishing, so if you guys are headed for the routes then I'll try my luck in the rivers around there." Nester chimes in his two cents. "If you need me to I'm also a pretty decent DI if you want a mon of yours to be run though accuracy or speed drills while I fish."

"I can help with some training too, if you'd like." Vicky adds, "I can make your pokemon faster and stronger if our, what did he say, DI does some accuracy drills."

"DIs, hard slang for drill instructors. Think of them as personal trainers for the pokemon ranger corps." Nester replies. "To maxmize training effectiveness we should at least figure out how many mon we have between us all so we can set a training rotation." Nester says as he unclips two balls from his belt. "I've two but one's a baby and she's not fighting anything more threatening then a paper bag til she grows more."

Seeing that Ponta has got a grip of the Fire Spin, Arnie stands full upright, tucks his notebook away (snapping the pocket securely), and dusting of his hands. As he rose his necklace dangled, remembering Candle's Trick manuver, he tucked that in too. "Your right, it's seems full intoductions are in order."
Pulling out three more pokeballs, Arnie became fairly formal, "You've already met Faulkner, my Ponyta, she's been with me a long time," summoning the next in line a Froakie appeared.
"This is Frost," indicating Froakie, "she would be considered my most to be my official starter."
Another toss of a pokeball and an Abra began to float above the ground, "next up is Salinger, I got lucky meeting her."
"Rounding things out, I introduce you to the newest member of my team," the last pokeball takes to the air, releasinga Gastly, "this is Kafka, he just hatched."
The four pokemon stood in a propper line for only a moment, untill Kafka began to float off, circling the others weaving about. This caused Arnold to lose a bit of composure, scrabbling for a pokeball. "Sorry, he tends to wander," recalling Gastly, he smiles, "that's my team!"

Arnold eye's Corbett, 'he's quite formal, he seems very polite, almost robotic.'
As the moments stretch on, Arnie feels a bit awkward, as if he is still in the spotlight yet his presentation is over, he eyes Corbett again, a light clicks, and he fumbles a returned salute.
