"Speaking of pay..." Phoenix returned the handshake firmly and matter of factedly as he spoke, "What're we looking at from the get go? I'm shooting for the top but I need a little more incentive than just some screaming fans to push me there, you catch me?"

He turns to Kolton.
"Well there's stuff from our writing staff that's sugessted, mostly for the main tent stuff, but even then we gotta get the ok from all involved parties first anyway. But, other than that, it's up to all of you! We've seen it a lot better on everyone to let them be creative on their own, and some really good stuff has come from it that we couldn't do otherwise."
Then he turns to Phoenix.
"Oh well of course! This is a job, afterall! You'll be paid at the end of every day. We are currently undergoing some changes in how combantants are paid, so I'm just judging them personally. Hopefully soon we'll have the automated system up based on how much you've done in a day and the fan reaction from our Aura readers. But for now it'll just be me."

Revanche silently returns the handshake the man gives him, pulling away rather quickly after a quick shake, then goes back to leaning against the wall. As the man begins his spiel on the workings of the ring, he closes his eyes, seeming to sleep through the entire thing. When the man finally finishes, he lazily opens one eye and glances around the room, but he remains completely silent otherwise. There's a definite air of boredom radiating from him.

Tulsa listens, scratching herself here and there before piping in
"Just throw me a fresh face to put ovah any time, but mind ya, Bagface needs a lot more ringtime before I'm happy wid 'er, so if we git booked to do singles it'll be 'er in the ring wid me just hollerin'."
She throws a glance around.
"If anybody'd be interested in organizn' down a tag feud we'd be plenty keen, o'course."

Jordan doesn't have much to say, but gets up and makes her way to shake his hand.

"We are aware of who's actually supposed to 'be' in the ring so there won't be asks without your express consent, of course. Uh lets see, what else can I... Oh Jason!"
Just as he says that, a tall man in his early thirties, with combed back black hair and a well pressed black suit enters the room. Everything about this man screams 'I am a slick businessman and will step on anyone for personal profit'. And it takes a second but you know why. This man is Jason Reed, who's the on-screen heel corporate face for the WPF. Always seeming to get in the way of any face's path at one point another, he's very present in the story, sometimes even multiple storylines at once. From time to time he's even had his own stable of combatants to serve him. Although the man giving the warm smile and going to shake all your hands doesn't seem like the dude you want to punch in the face for being a jag-off.
"So you must be all the new hirees we got? Nice, nice. They said I'd find you all here."
He turns and looks down to Stanley.
"Dad, I know you wanted to give them the tour but apparently one of our sponsors is throwing a hissy fit on the phone and they wanted to speak with you."
Stanley looks back toward the hallway and then back at you all, looking about two seconds from saying 'screw em' and continuing the tour.
"I know it's your thing but I think it's hard when you also have to try to run the entire company yourself. And it's Estra Potions, you know, our sponsor for the feature event in Saffron next month?"
"Oh shit, Estra really? *sigh* Why did they pick now?"
"Look, I've got it from here, I'm free till... well till their match later."
Jason guestures to you all.
"You'll get plenty of chances to get to know your new hires unless we scare em off right away."
Stanley looks at his son, clearly not amused.
"Kidding! Kidding. I'll make sure to give them a rundown from where you left off and show em around. Then King and David want to do practice matches with them, and we'll be conducting the interviews with those not fighting."
Stanley thinks for a minute before smiling.
"Your right, you got this. I'll catch up with you all later! I have an exec to put into time out, apparently."
Without another word, Stanley runs off through a curtain from where Jason came from. And the remaining Reed turns to you all.
"Really sorry about that folks. Estra was getting incredibly angry over the color their logo would be presented in on our ads. It wasn't the wrong color, it was like a shade or two off."
Jason shakes his head.
"Anyway, it's nice to meet you all. Judging by your faces some of you seem to recognize me. If not from the screen then maybe from the Fighter Monthy cover that had me as Number One Most Punchable Man In The Business!"
He laughs.
"Still can't believe they did that. But hey that's my role around here. I don't know the first thing about running the business so I just act like that person on camera. Ha! Anyway, follow me, I'll show ya around."
He leads you back outside into the middle of the tents, and starts pointing some out.
"Easiest way to navigate is look for the big ol symbols on stuff. We have to fit our backstage tents and trailers with whatever room we are given, so there's no 'one way' to set em up. So we just put big symbol signs on the stuff everybody needs to find. Over there is probably the one outside the cafeteria tent you'll need the most."
He points out a rather expensive looking trailer with a big cross on it.
"We paid out the nose for the best healing equipment around. They can do what most pokemon centers can't. Kinda needed when you are fighting multiple times in a day. We got an expert nurse running it as well, you'll meet her where we are going. Although she's really only needed if it gets busy in there, or if there's a really bad injury. Usually after Type Battles. Sometimes those get nasty. But yeah, the machines practically run themselves, and you can just step up and put your pokemon in and boop! Healed. Even got this fancy versions for humans to step in."
He realizes something and turns around, looking a little nervous.
"Oh ummm! Two things about Joyce. Do not call her 'Nurse Joyce' because if you do, you may find she might 'mess' with the machine that heals you. So if you want to go through the process in the two minutes it takes and not have that extended to an hour where Screamo rock music is playing at full volume directly in your ears, don't do that, yeah? Also, don't ask her out or hit on her. Because... Well if you want to find out what happens, go ahead and do it, then tell me so I can record it. It's hilarious every time."
He turns back, pointing out a cafeteria tent that always has some local catering company bringing in food plus basic stuff they always carry, a trailer for shower facilities, a big ol personal tent that has areas if you need a rest and it's where you'll keep any personal belongings and where you change, a break room trailer that's got tvs, wifi, video games, books and magazines, just stuff to pass the time and chill out when needed. There's a filming trailer specifically for interviews and segments like that. And then there's an office trailer that has most of the higher up staff, like his father, the writing team, and people like that. They might be buzzing in and out throughout the day, but if you need to find em, that's the first place to check.
"Well that about covers back here, now we gotta head somewhere. Got a couple people for you guys to meet. And they want a 'test' of sorts."
Jason leads you to one of the small fighting tents, which seems to have been placed in the back and closed off from the public. He leads you inside and you find an empty ring, although a few staff are milling about and the limiters in the ring do seem to be on. And sitting in the middle ring is a person you could NOT mistake, despite him being in rather normal athletic clothes. But he does have the unmistakable platinum belt in his hands.
King rises from his seated position and jumps out the ring, a smile on his face.
"Well shoot I was starting to get bored. These the new ones? Good. I'm King, but you probably knew that already. And I have..."
King looks around, confused.
"Uhhh, David? Where did you go?"
Jason sighs.
"He's being strange again, isn't he?"
"Yeah I'd guess so but I wanted him here for this, but then again he kinda just figures that stuff out for himself. Somehow. He'll be around eventually. But lets go to you all first. I wanna hear in your own words about how you are going to act out there. Give me your spheal about whoever, pokemon or human, and their story, and what they plan to do out there. I'd like to know who ya are, cause one day I may be staring down at you in the ring."

Jordan looks around, and no one seems to be going first. She shrugs, nods to Cherry who is on her shoulder, and Cherry raises her little arm. "A'm Jordan Kane, sir." She pauses, coughs, and drops her accent. She then picks up a rather refined, pompous accent for her persona. "Due to my injury, I've made a transition to a manager. I'm going to do everything in my power to get my pokemon over as winners. Take Cherry here. She is the cutest, and prettiest Buneary ever. And, anyone compared to her is so unsightly, that they must have their face hidden by this." She pulls out a brown paper bag. "I have a dream to hopefully build a stable, and have them be the most dominant group in the business. With me being the mastermind of the group, I will lead us to greatness." She goes back to her normal accent. "Thas basically mah plan."

Tulsa lets Jordan finish, but will pipe up before any of the boys can.
"I'm Tulsa Nasty, King. A real pleasure finally meetin' you. I'm heel as heel can get, it's what I do best and what the crowd hates seein'. Us women tend to not stick 'round as long as the boys do, so I'm workin' on passing the torch along to this little troopa' here."
Bagface salutes as soon as she's gestured to.
"She's gon be my enforcer once she grows up into that big 'ole mess of a pokemon she's meant to become. She'll do the whole big 'mon routine and I'll pull all the dirty strings from behind. Right now though, I'm the bigger one, so we just do the straight Nasty routine with my tricks and her stink. If we're ever put over it'll be to a dirty finish."
Bagface puffs up a bit, trying to match Tulsa's easy confidence. Her eyes are fixated on King's shiny belt.
"So feel free to toss ya fresh babyfaces at us, we'll put them over so high you won't know which ones to push!"

Faust flexes at King as Kolton speaks up.
"I'm Kolton and this his Faust. He's got big dreams and is aiming to punch his way to the top." He says, patting the Geodude on the head.
"And my job is going to make sure he doesn't do anything too stupid. The main goal here is to make sure he doesn't become another jobber." He continues, mentally adding in 'like me.'

Revanche waits for a while, letting other speak, until he has a moment to slip in. He doesn't try very hard to identify himself in the crowd, forcing people to find his location by only the sound of his voice. Not that he gives them much time to. "Revanche" he accents the Kalosian pronunciation of the word as he says it. "I'm here to beat whomever deserves to be beaten."

The masked man shook his head, struck his chest with a closed fist, and a little fire burnt the cuffs of his suit. He patted them about as casually as extinguishing a lit cigarette and said, "Me... I'm the Phoenix. I fall.. I might even lose ever once in a while. But I always get back up. But you won't always recognize me when I do." he tossed a Pokeball to the floor beside him, and a fat, blue, igloo-like thing gazed droopily around the room, evidently half asleep.
"On a good day I'm burning away the scum of the ring...." he snapped his fingers, and the Pokemon took in a deep breath... only for a single puff of cold air to be exhaled. It shrugged as its trainer glowered at it. "Was gonna mention the bad, but somebody had to mess that up. But that's alright. He holds it down just fine in the ring. Just needs some motivation, same as me."

King listens intently as each one of you sounds off. Jason goes off the side, mostly watching King's reaction to each of you. When Phoenix finishes, King raises a finger like he's about to speak. But he's stopped as a man comes out of seemingly thin air in front of you all. His hair looks rather wild, like he's been spinning in place in a wind tunnel and just went with the style. He looks to be about in his early fourties, and has a deep five o clock shadow. About as strange is his attire, as he seems to be wearing a long jacket that trails behind him. Completely black, and on the back what looks like a shining north-like star dropping a ray of light upon a silhouette of what looks like himself. King just facepalms.
"There you are David."
'David' doesn't seem phased by King. He starts strolling in front of your line-up, arms behind his back.
"The grand star has shown me visions! Visions of this day! You and your pokemon, your arrival signifies something...significant. Two things! One is that your group is a catalyst for change. Something will happen, and you five arriving will cause it. The other is that... power will be transferred."
David turns around and stares right at King's Platinum Championship. King looks at him strange until he notices where his glance is. He flinches for a second, holding the belt tighter before shaking his head.
"Wait a minute, David... Didn't you say this about the last group?"
"The second vision, yes."
"Dude. No Class was in that group. If you are seriously telling-"
"It is a possibility still-"
King slaps his hand on David's arm, and merely shakes his head.
"Yeah no. It isn't."
King turns to the group.
"Anyway, let me introduce you all to David Dun. He's been in here as long as me. Maybe a bit too long."
David puts his hand up, and waves his finger back and forth erratically.
"No, my friend. I was shown the light by the grand star! It destroyed my soul and created it anew!"
He throws his hands out and looks up, a big open smile on his face. He keeps that pose for a while, and King leans out from behind him.
"If you are wondering, he's like this all the time. Good guy, really though. But yeah, I like what I hear. Even if it wasn't a lot."
Revanche might 'feel' that implicates him in a subtle way, until David basically confirms it by approaching and getting maybe a little too close to him.
"You. The star had much to say about you. You and I will do a grand dance Revanche. One day."
"David, don't scare em away. We told you to tone it down. *Sigh* Anyway. Jason, who do you want to start with?"
Jason, who seemed to be enjoying the exchange between the two older stars, stumbles a bit as he gasps into his coffee. He coughs a bit.
"I think Miss Kane should be rewarded for stepping up first. She'll do great in front of the camera. If you would, Jordan. We'll be conducting a taped interview with you, and the rest of you, to play before your multi-match later this afternoon. We'll explain that one later."
The suited man holds the door open and guestures for Jordan to follow. King and David look to the rest of you.
"Now, we want to see the rest of you in action in the ring. I'd like to see your styles in action, and we always want to make sure the ring's safeguards don't mess with your style or your body. It's really rare, but we've avoiding a second lawsuit."
Jason turns to King as he waits.
"Please. Dad nearly keeled over from stress the last time."
"So whoever is first, step on up."

Jordan watches things unfold, as she stands there with a rather befuddled look. She then snaps back into reality as she is referred to. "Hah? Ah! Yeah sure! A'll do the interview. Later, ya'll." She picks up her crutches, and makes her way to shoot her first interview.

"Wait, Revanche?" Kolton says incredulously to the heel. As he does Faust gives King a confused look.
"So are you aiming for world's most obvious heel, or did you just never grow out of your teenage goth phase?"

"Leave the moody kid alone, I reckon' he's just got the nerves! Probably all conscious of how skinny he is! It takes all kinds to keep these tents runnin'. Don't ya worry 'bout missin' a bit a muscle." Tulsa adds.
Bagface watches the seniors in rapt fascination. She's still working on catching all that fast humanspeak, but it's still great seeing the starts up close.

Revanche barely blinks as David enters the scene, and doesn't seem to react to King's pointed comment aimed towards him. Similarly, when David steps far too close into his personal space, Revanche reacts with hardly more than a blink and a puff of air out of his nose. However, it seems that everyone has to get in a word or two about him, and he lets Kolton's and Tulsa's words fly over him before he turns to Kolton with a dull gold stare. "You perceive me how I wish to be perceived."

"Little man thinks he's somebody already! But I can't hate man for being confident."Phoenix grinned, moving to clap Revanche on the shoulder. It was a good natured gesture, but he wasn't gentle about it in the slightest. ""I don't buy into the whole 'Lord of Darkness and Bondage theme' you're running, but if it gets the crowds going, than it's like the lady says: takes all kinds, right?

While you all are busy annoying Revanche, Jason and Jordan come back.
"...or not."
He looks around.
"Tulsa, come on back with me. We'll get your interview started."
"Well shit if the interviews are coming back hot and fast I'm taking volunteers. David, are Jeoffry's kids ready?"
"Oh yes hahaha! They've been training under their father, and are ready to take up their MANTLE!"
David turns with an odd bit of flair and goes off to a side room for a moment. Coming back with a pair of Buneary, both quickly hopping over the ropes into the ring.
"David's tag team partner Jeoffry has two kids looking to get into the business themselves. I feel like they are ready myself, and they'll be your testers today. Hmmm, Revanche and Kolton's Faust. I'll do you two first. Followed by Jordon's Cherry, When Tulsa and Bagface get back, it'll be them. Then Phoenix. I'll ref. Lets go people!"
King kips up into the ring himself and waits for the first two fighters.
(Although I'm doing all the combats right now so you'll all see it. Magister and hay will be going to the group thread)

Jordan and Cherry blink as they suddenly pull out the win. "...Oh! Uhh..Good job, Cherry." Cherry looks around, and hops back to her trainer. Jordan picks her up, and sits on a nearby bench. It was looking pretty good, but it could have gone a lot better especially in the end. Jordan pets Cherry, and reflects on the match.

Once everyone is finished up with all their fights and healed up, you are all gathered before King and David again.
"What do you think, my leige? I thought everyone was... wonderful!"
David throws his arms out and gives a big smile. He looks to King.
"Hmmmm."
King stands and looks off somewhere.
"Everyone follow me. I've got something for you."
King begins to walk off toward the collection of office trailers/tents.
