Altogether pleased that things were going well so far (even though a failure at this stage would bode very, very poorly for the Mission overall), Thoron was fine letting things proceed as they had been. Their base of operations was rather ingeniously bugged, their guide was, while not at ease, noticeably less on edge, and they were soon to get valuable data. Probably.
Silas appeared to have this segment handled, as well, so there was no point getting involved. Not only that, but the receptionist, given how Silas was treating him, was unlikely to offer anything for their investigation. After taking a few deliberate paces away from the entrance, off to the side, Thoron says to the other Technicians, "Leslie... Soleil? If you wanted a chance to sit, now may well be the best time. I imagine it would be best for us to wait for Silas, at this stage."

"Oh...I was going to go over and ask 'Not even if my name is Soleil Jensen?' since Silas tried his name... but I guess I can sit." Soleil said removing the bag slung across her back and taking a seat and kicking her legs as she waited for Silas to finish. She sighed and set the bag in her lap tapping her fingers along the top to give them something to do.

Thoron had to stop for a moment at that. With a few slow, deliberate blinks, he pondered, Why would...? Had she even been paying attention for the last few hours? No, of course a trained Technician had been aware, so... Was this one of those 'jokes'? There had been an opportunity, she had the nonchalant demeanor to have told one, and willingly or not, his initial confusion had no doubt facilitated the humour...
Which left a response? "Hah. Hah. It appears you caught me, just before I declared he was in the presence of one 'Thoron Kakomyalo', too." There, a proper response to the humorous attempt. Following suit, Thoron decided to find a seat, himself, a good distance away.

Heey, humor. That's a nice change of pace to go with the arrival at their destination and having time to sit. Leslie keeps her voice to just the two others. "Y'all'r stupid for using your real namesssss. I'm Her Lady of Awesomeness, Awesomette, and I wanna watch his momma pinch his cheeks and tell him what a big boy he's become and offer to bake a cake for coming home. Also like, the beds are back there. I want a bed~."
The last two lines are said as she plops into a waiting room chair the same way a hardworking parent does after coming home from, well, a hard day's work. The smile on her face is simply coincidental and has nothing do with the fact that she didn't point out which cheeks Momma Floros would be pinching.

"No, not even th- wait..." The receptionist pauses. "Ah. Well, based on what I've heard about you, you wouldn't need to sign up for the class. If that is who you are. Either way, if you could wait, oh, probably another five minutes, you'll be able to take it up with the Doctor herself. And she'll be able to confirm or deny if you are who you say." He shuffles the papers around on the desk in front of him, stacking them in neat piles. "In the meantime, is there anything that I can help you with, or would you prefer to wait until the doctor is available?"

The room's incredibly lukewarm response dampens Silas's mood by a few notches. His expression fades from a slightly uncharacteristic grin to a more relaxed smile. Keeping his focus on the receptionist, Silas continues the conversation and offers a hand to shake. "Well, I suppose I've already introduced myself. And you are? How's the work treated you so far?"

The other shakes the proffered hand. It's a little clammy, but firm. "Stacey's my name. And, the work hasn't been too bad. Being able to attend the classes for free is nice, as is getting to occasionally see the Doctor in action. I can't say I'm a huge fan of the paperwork. It's all numbers here, rather than names, so I have the constant feeling I'm going to screw something up. Other than that, it's not bad."

Silas nods knowingly at the man's paperwork woes. "I hear you. It does get easier over time, just like everything else. At least the load has lessened from a few years ago." Unless, of course, there has been an uptick due to recent 'activities'.
As the rest of his team waits, Silas continues to chat with Stacey, commiserating over the paperwork as only those who have suffered through it can.

After a short, but not immediate, span of time, a man emerges from the back, and begins quietly talking with Stacey. Meanwhile, a slender woman in a long white coat, with almost-as-long blond hair, emerges from the back, looking with interest at Silas. "Silas?" she sounds surprised, though also pleased. "I thought I heard you from back there, but... what are you doing here? I don't imagine it's for pleasantries. And who are all of these? I imagine they're with you, since they don't really have the Promethean bearing."

"Hey Mom." Once she has come a bit closer, Silas closes the gap and gives her a hug. After a few moments, he lets go and has returned himself to business mode. "Unfortunately, no pleasantries today. We should grab a room to talk."
Once they have secured a more private room, Silas gives a quick introduction.
"This is the team: Thoron, Soleil, and Leslie. Team, this is my mom, Maria." Silas turns to face his mother and continues. "We're here for work. Some of the district's activity has finally gotten the attention of the higher ups, and it's probably in this area. I'll leave it to them to explain."

"Hey Silas's mom." Soleil said with a smile and wave. "I'm Soleil." She said quickly calling dibs on introductions so that somebody else would be stuck explaining.

They lacked a "Promethean bearing"? That could be problematic, especially given the reputation of this district. Standing out in such an obvious way could be inconvenient later on. Though all in all, learning that in a relatively safe environment was probably the best outcome. He would simply have to look for some identifying characteristic among the Prometheans...
But first, introductions. Or more to the point, how much they could leave out of the explanation. "Thoron. Its good to meet you, Mrs. Floros. Unfortunately, Silas is correct, we are only in the Prometheus district on 'business'. We have cause to believe that an underground gladiatorial ring has come up, in this approximate area. While your clinic is on the periphery, it appeared both a safe point to investigate, as well as a likely place for them to bring their injured fighters. The rather impersonal policy you follow was a leading factor there: Given the likely high number of injuries from their illegal blood-sport, someone who would patch them up without prying into their business would be a valuable asset. Not, of course, that carrying out your business professionally is wrong, mind. Merely convenient for them."
Pausing to change tacks, concluding that would be enough detail for now, Thoron switched to a question, "That in mind, Mrs. Floros, have you noticed a significant increase in the number of patients? Or those with serious and improbably injuries, especially the sort one might expect from a large-scale accident."

While Thoron divulges into some of their reasoning, Leslie puts a finger to her chest and mouths 'Leslie'. Let him be the point man for now. Herself, she's gonna start a list of embarrassing questions to ask about Silas.
When was the last time he wet the bed is always a good one. Leslie smiles, secure in her belief that no mission would ever bring the team to her family's doorstep like this one is.

"Not Mrs. Floros," she corrects Thoron. "Doctor. Or Miss. Or, if you'd prefer, just Maria. I don't know how formal you prefer to be."
"Hmmm..." Maria ponders, "now that you mention it, there has been a somewhat substantial increase in elemental-related injuries, lately. Is that indicative of anything? I just assumed that there was another faction vying for control, that I hadn't heard about. I didn't ask too many questions, though. I value my livelihood, after all."

"Is it bad to ask questions?" Soleil asked confused. She thought asking questions was the best way to learn things.

Silas turns toward Soleil, offering an explanation for their policy. "Suppose someone comes in with a gunshot wound or an odd burn. It doesn't take a genius to know they were involved in something questionable. If they thought we might report them or pry into their 'business', they wouldn't come in for treatment. That's why we have a reputation for treating patients and not asking prying questions. For the same reason, we can't directly question any patients here. However, there's always a chance of 'odd rumors' that we might 'happen to overhear'."
Silas decides to respect Thoron's desire to keep some details hidden. Their presence alone should be proof that this isn't a small turf war. Still, he'll confirm the correlation, as he'd like Maria to be able to guess at what is happening. "More elemental injuries is exactly what we expected to find."

First addressing the elder Floros, Thoron replies, "Apologies, Doctor Floros. You both deserve the title, it was my mistake."
Next, to Soleil, "Ordinarily, careful questions are fine, though through circumstance it is 'bad' for the Doctor and her clinic, yes. In your line of work they remain essential."

"Ohhhh... So then we can question the people ourselves then but she can't?" Soleil asked. "Should I get the rifle out or no?"

The rifle? Why would she... Ah. "Very close. Consider, though: If we were to begin questioning suspicious people with elemental injuries in Doctor Floros' clinic, then even if Silas weren't identified it would bring trouble. So yes and no, respectively. Although..."
Turning back to the elder Floros, Thoron asks, "Would any patients who came in with particularly severe injuries of such an unusual sort be due for discharge soon, Doctor? Obviously, we would leave them be long enough to delink them from the clinic, but one lead is as good as another."

Did Silas ever come home claiming he was in love and that the world was as amazing as it could be? Was their skin a perfect tan and their smile as they laughed capable of piercing the gloomiest darkness? How many weeks of moping did the boy go through before he moved on?
No need to inject herself into the conversation just yet. Thoron would see the mission on a steady course, and Silas would see that the clinic was kept unconnected.
Or they wouldn't. Life is life, stuff happens. Leslie fixes her staaaare on Doctor Momma.
