Hannah finished talking with Tharissa in the garden and then went to eat a hardy breakfast to stay strong for the battle. Soon, it was nearing time for that battle, and she was called out to the tent. She pulled her hair up into a high ponytail to keep it out of her eyes and then suited up. She strode into the tent in her armor, carrying a heavy shield that she hefted around with ease in one hand, and her lance in the other.
"Oh gosh! All this for us? I didn't think a little ol' fight would be worth all this touble to prepare for. Usually you don't get any preparation fer a fight at all, they just happen," Hannah declared as she entered.
Seeing Ovelia already inside she grinned and said, "Recovered from last night, ya sure drank a lot and got into plenty of trouble haha." She winked at Ovelia.
But her eyes turned towards the Rainbow Knights and as the second one introduced himself she gave a small gasp, "Are ya blind?! I didn't know ya could be blind and be a knight! How'd you do it!?" She seemed in awe of the the man and trotted up to him like an interested puppy to look at him closer. She couldn't imagine what kind of skill he could have to be blind and also a knight!!

Finally the time had come, so, Jelenna and company made their way to meet and greet. Jelenna had even had a surprisingly decent conversation with Mael. Before entering the gaudy green tent, Mael had made note to her that these kind of things needed to be "...handled with grace, friendliness and kindness." She wasn't sure what he meant, but she agreed halfheartedly. Upon entering she scanned the tables of food, and the dregs that were absorbing all of it. She tried to supress her grimace, and keep to herself, but her eyes locked onto the choking man. Pointy hat!? A staff? He's trying to steal my image! It's my personal image so people can imagine me clearly when they hear my tales! And, look at him stuff his face, coughing, mocking me! She had a vein popping in her forehead, and and looking at the other fools didn't help as they ignored her. A grave mistake.
Jelenna slammed her staff on the ground, and grabbed her face in disgust, and in a dramatic way. "How...Dare...You!!! We come for honor combat, yet these lowlifes stuff their maws, ignore the next hero of legend, and steal people's looks!" She glares hard, and projects hard despite her tiny frame at the choking man. The tiny girl walks deeper into the tent, past the uneasy looks of her companions, and folds her arms with her staff in them. "Not all of you are as foolish. Greetings from the Youngest Sage Branch!" She smirks, and hides her eyes behind the rim of her massive hat.

He looked at Hannah and then made a hand motion, his hands lighting up with an orange glow, his eyes seemed to match it.
He waved his hands in front of his face, and made a half circle arc, "Magic!"
"I can kinda see with my magic." He said nodding to himself, "It's draining so i only use it during fights."
Golif looked over at the table and said to the two women, "Come on Merill, and you too Yein. Introduce yourselves."
Marill mouth still full with food said, "Hah Ihm mahrill shraff..."
some food flung out of her mouth as she said it.
The other girl looked around the room and said, "Oh..... Yein Galia from Xel."
Golif just laughed and said, "Sorry these two aren't like other women, not chatty you see?"
It was at that moment, Golif pointed at Jelenna, "Like that one see? Chatty"
The two girls seemed to eat in stride, when Guy got off of the ground, and responding, "Wait what? Stealing your look?"
He looked at Jelena for a moment and commented, "I mean.... aren't I supposed to dress like a Wizard for honor combat? Did I pick the wrong clothing!? wait... did I? I'm sorry!"
He bowed quickly to Jelenna his head hitting the floor in a serious apology.
Golif shook his head, "No no, don't worry, Woman just angry. Clothes you see? Women's thing."

When Hannah made her comment, Ovelia's face flushed as she realized someone knew what she did, but she totally didn't. However, before she could ask Hannah for clarification the dumb one arrived...no not Niyol. The really dumb one.
Annoyance slightly filled Ovelia as her eye twitched at the constant woman remarks, though she did her best to contain it. It was only slightly more annoying than the little idiot. "Less a woman thing, and more that she's an idiot." Ovelia commented casually. "Besides, it seems a bit odd commenting on women things. Aren't the Strogol's known for wearing dresses under their armor so they can feel pretty?" Ovelia asked casually as if stating a commonly known fact despite the fact she was making it up on the spot.
As she spoke, she shifted over a bit towards Hannah before casually griping her arm and speaking very softly. "What do you mean... what happened?"

Golif nodded, "Indeed, women Golif's very much did wear them under their armor. Clothing is women's thing. My older sister told me that."
He smiled, "I'm glad you understand, did you know any of my kin?"

"Very little and only in passing. I heard the women are tougher than the men. Smarter too, but well, that's expected." Ovelia responded simply. "Of course, only what I hear, never actually met any of your kin."

Golif laughed, "Smarter yes, tougher? Some say so. It's tradition that Men Golif never hit a woman, so we've never seen who is the stronger of the two. Though Golif women are quite tough. It hard to exactly determine who stronger Golif since we all so strong."
Golif nodded, "Glad you hear such good things about my family.

"Good tradition to have." Ovelia nodded politely. "Keeps the men safer, no?" She said with a friendly laugh.

Someone is able to grab onto the collar of Jelenna's cape, and hold her back as she swings her staff around at the foolish people who have disrespected her. She then flails her arms, and legs as she she is held back. "You stupid oaf! You wouldn't know a thing about women even if you were destroyed by one! Which will be soon you giant shit-stain! And, you! You look stupider than he does you lightning throwing, drink guzzling. old crone!" Her tantrum continues.

"I think she's just ill in the head." Ovelia said rubbing her temple annoyed at the girl's constant outbursts. Maybe a gag would be a good investment? Some rope too?

Jelenna sputters at the offensive things she hears from both sides. She tugs at her hat in frustration, and recedes back to stew in her anger, and annoyance. They would rue the day they insulted her! When her story was shared, these idiots would actually be remembered. They would be remembered for their glorious destruction. She was now even more psyched for the match.

Mael looked on as Jelenna had yet another tantrum. This is getting old fast, he thought. Not showing any of these thoughts outwardly, he nodded at their opponents. They seemed much more amiable compared to what he'd heard of that Byron guy. They were sure to be worthy opponents. One of them seemed a little slow on the uptake, a condition that seemed to be quite common in Ceruas, but that wasn't a big deal, compared to his casual and seemingly unthinking sexism at least. Not that Ovelia with her subtle insults and goading was much better. The blind man, Henry, seemed the decent sort at least, as did Guy. The rest Mael wasn't sure about yet.
"My name is Mael Caligo. Nice to meet you all," he finally said.

"Fightin' type magic can do that?" Hannah was surprised. She could only throw rocks around and make rocks and whatnot with her magic. She hadn't imagined that magic could be used for more things than simple elemental stuff, though what kind of element was fighting anyways? She was mostly self taught so she didn't have a lot of magical experience other than what she had learned in the past few weeks. Mostly what she had bothered learning was that fighting magic cracked rocks really easily...
She was distracted for a moment from her conversation by Golif's loud comments, "If ya don't punch ladies how ya gonna fight our team? We got lots of ladies! It'd make it pretty easy if ya don't wanna punch us..." Jelenna was throwing a fit again though, and Hannah wasn't sure what to do about it, Ovelia wasn't really helping with it, but Mael was a welcoming calm presence. Hannah gave him a small wave in welcome.
She turned back to Henry, "I'm Hannah, an' hopefully we won't be fightin' in the ring I guess."

As the strategic meeting came to a close, Niyol parted ways with the ladies and coaxed Mael into joining him in the festivities instead of letting the dark mage return straight to his room.
Niyol indulged himself on the beer but knew well enough to pace himself as he kept Mael company and talk about the little and big things they haven't otherwise been able to chat about. Just as Niyol's attention was pull away by a fellow guild member Niyol felt Mael clasp his shoulder as he made his leave and Niyol raised his mug in farewell and wish the mage a good night rest. The rest of the night Niyol spent in lending the party his extensive knowledge in pub songs and sea chanties. Some of them were more tawdry than others but all in all Niyol felt it was a good night and when Niyol start to feel the strain on his voice the ex-pirate excused himself and float his way back to his little slice of attic and curled himself up into the hammock he hung in front of the round window.
The following morning, Niyol was awoken by the sun rays shining into his eyes and after a moment of tossing and turning the wind mage gave in and started preparing for the day with a hot shower. The matter of his clothing was easily taken care of as sky pirates travel light and the one other shirt he had have been ruined with their skirmish with the bandits. After donning his attire, practically the same clothes as yesterday, Niyol forgoes breakfast and instead drank some water as he floated to the Pot's roof top to train. After an hour, and 15 minutes of his construct trying to eat his hair, Niyol slowly made his way to the meeting point for the duel. He heard them before he saw them, particularly Jelenna as she seems to have another one of her tantrum, and was surprise it wasn't because of Oveila. It was then that Niyol realized that Jelenna really was a bit immature and he wondered how the 'master of light' survived in the real world so far.
"Well, it looks like everyone's here. Good morning, we have a nice fair breeze this morning." Niyol greeted his guild mates with a warm smile before facing the imposing man with purple eyes and bowed with a flourish. "Golith, I believe. I'm Niyol A. Eyvinder. I hope are none of our lady knights have been causing you trouble. We certainly put the 'young' in Youngest Sage after all."

Golif chuckled, "Don't mind Don't mind. Youngest sage Women are warriors, even if they are young."
Golif gave a large chuckle as he said, "Though if I was put in fight against them, like Hannah here asked. I wouldn't fight them, and just take my licks. I was hopin ya guys would let me keep to my code. If not, I'll allow for my honor to be harmed before my code."
"Man must have principles no?" He said.
His teammate sighed as he answered Hannah, "Fighting magic isn't actually magic like we know it. Instead we feel the energies inside someone. The energy that keeps your heart beating is different from the energy that let's you throw your rocks you see? By controlling the energies inside myself, I see your energies even with my blind eyes."

Hannah glanced over at Golif and then asked Henry, "So ya'll do all the work if there's a lady bandit or somthin' an' he can't fight then? That's awful nice of ya... Well! Thanks for explainin' that magic to me I'm glad I got the chance to meet ya!"
If Golif was going first, and would only fight another man, that meant Hannah couldn't be the one to fight him. She wanted to win, but if it was a manner of honor, it certainly wouldn't look good for the Youngest Sages picked someone who he couldn't fight against. Not very honorable and the battle wouldn't exactly prove anything about their fighting ability either. The thought briefly crossed her mind that maybe it was a manipulative tactic to get them to put someone up other than who they wanted to, but she quickly brushed it aside. It was the Rainbow Dragons who made this whole thing a matter of honor, surely they wouldn't do anything like that. She felt a little guilty for even thinking that, especially since Golif was her senior in the orders.
At least since she wasn't up first she wouldn't cramp up if she had a little food, she moved over to the table where the meal was laid out. She took a few rolls and slathered them with butter, shoving them in her mouth. She looked over at the two female Dragons. They had briefly introduced themselves but Hannah wasn't sure if they had caught her own introduction.
"I'm Hannah! We're all supposed to meet an' talk before the fight right?" she said cheerily, sticking a hand out for either Maril or Galia to take.

As Golif claims he would throw a fight against a girl, Ovelia raises an eyebrow. That definitely made her not want to fight him and at first she almost instantly felt a female shouldn't be sent against him. However, she glanced over at the group and realized something. The majority of their five remaining fighters, and the seven total from before were all females. By agreeing to only send a male opponent against him, they would be basically letting the rainbow dragon narrow down their match-ups to one of two. While neither Niyol or Mael were at a disadvantage against a dragon, it would throw away their first pick by basically allowing the Rainbow Dragons to narrow down "any five" to "one of two". After that the Youngest Sage would have to pick first, giving the Rainbow Dragons a second match-up they could pick at will. By the time the Youngest Sage would get the second tactical pick, two of the five fights would be over and almost half their fighters would have been eliminated and the first two match-ups in this case were by far the most important.
"I don't think anybody here would want to step on your honor by forcing you to lose a match," Ovelia commented, "However, no disrespect meant, but we don't know you and for all we know this could be a ploy. You'll notice that the majority of our fighters are women. If we did indeed pick a male fighter against you, it would be giving you a very clear advantage in that you would be able to really narrow down the possible opponents." Ovelia commented, "In addition, you ask us to either win in a cowardly and unfair manner or to give up the tactical second pick by allowing you to limit us to two options. I would think a compromise should be made for both of us to pick in good faith." Ovelia suggested, "If you were to not go first, we could send a male opponent second, thus allowing you to challenge a male. You would be allowed to fight for your honor, but you wouldn't dishonor us by forcing us to allow you to pick both fighters." Ovelia remarked. "So, what if as a show of good faith, you select...oh I don't know..." Her eyes skimmed the fighters as if trying to pick one randomly though she knew who she would request, "Why not Guy?" She asked. "You select him first, we'll select a female fighter putting us down to a nice fair two men, two women remaining and then when we pick first, we'll send out a guy. If you truly are being honest and don't wish to fight a female, that would be your chance to prove it, Sir Golif."
She reached down and picked up a biscuit. "You fight a male, we aren't forced to either win cowardly or give you two picks in a row, and the status quo is maintained in regards to a fair honorable duel." She explained before taking a bite.

He was cut off from the table from Galia, "No, no accept. Not Equal."

Galia cut him off too, "You want lose then?"
"no....." He said a bit down trodden.
" Send neutral for sure, or Golif first. We take loss, you take hit to reputation." Galia said.
Golif pointed out, "Why this feel like we bad guys?"
