It seems to agree with this idea and lets you carry it for awhile.

Rei gingerly carries the adorable thing back up north as she carries it into town. As she gets close she looks down to it again.
"Hey so I'm happy to give you a break, but I was thinking... Would you like to travel with me instead of leaving it up to the wind? I am always happy to have cute pokemon travel with me!"

Hoppip seems to think riding the wind is alright (unless it's super windy like today), but maybe a break is in order? It decides to join you.
Hoppip is Male, level 18, Desperate, with Infiltrator.

Rei hugs the little grass type and then uses her last pokeball on it. Once it's captured, she lets it back out, and Rei, her new poke, and Shinpuru head back into town for a final battle and then back to the guild to find Tiki!

With Alligapod now next to her, and her new little charm upping her speed a bit, Rei takes advantage of the early opening, and does her defensive dance, as well as becoming a little bit more dangerous as well, twirling the blade. Rei uses Yoroi step with Power Pirouette, bolstering her def by 2, and her attack by 1.

Both of them manage to dodge the rocks easily, with Rei doing a little spin to up her nimbleness (Spinning Dance +1). She sees an arrow fly right at her, and this time she's ready for Maya's attacks. She drops to the floor as it zooms right over! (Dive) Alligapod full-force rushes and stabs both lances forward into Vibrava! Rei stands back up and does an aggressive dance, but in a flipped move from before, she adds a bit of defensive power as well. Rei uses Spinning Dance on the miss, raising her evasion to 6.
Rei uses Dive! to dodge the attack! (When targeted by a ranged attack, you may shift one meter and then become tripped. User dodges the attack)
Alligapod charges, activating Lancer, and then attacks with Twineedle! AC 3 Bug Physical (Posions on 18+, doublestrike) 1: YFMRGbdo1d20 2: 1d20 If one hit: 1d8+32 If two: 2d8+34
-New Round- Rei stands up and uses Dance of Blades, adding Power Pirouette to gain +1 def stage.

Maya tsks when you somehow evade the arrow and your flying steel bug tears into Vibrava. She stares Alligapod down, issuing a silent challenge to the bug.
Regal Challenge: Defiance (Maya gains +10 damage for the rest of the scene) or Deference (Alligapod loses 3 Defense CS)
She takes careful aim at Rei again, firing off two arrows at her to ensure at least one hit.
Shift Action: Aiming Down the sights (+2 AC and crit) Standard Action: Double Shot (Fire two Struggle attacks at -2. If one gains the benefits of Aiming Down the Sights or Clear Shot, both gain these benefits.

One of the arrows strike two as Rei dives once again out of the way of the other deadlier looking one. Alligapod is not so lucky, and is stuck in a sandy veil. However, she takes the opportunity to ready herself for the next attack before striking with the same two-whack attack again! Rei uses her 2nd and final dive.
Alligapod doesn't move, activating the other lancer ability, and then attacks with Twineedle! AC 3 Bug Physical (Posions on 18+, doublestrike) 1: XkCzl1Fu1d20 2: 1d20 If one hit: 1d8+32 If two: 2d8+34

As soon as Vibrava takes another hit, it suddenly lurches into motion again, firing sonic waves directly into Alligapod's face.
Sonic Boom AC 2 vs qknawOjx1d20 Deals 15 damage.
Rei then boosts herself with Yoroi Step, and Maya charges her next arrow with Dragon Energy.
Free Action: Channel the Dragon's Spirit. You may have your Weapon Attack deal Dragon-Type damage if you wish. On 18+, all targets can only use At-Will moves for one full round.

Well. THAT one hurt. Rei struggles to stand again, feeling the lingering effects of that arrow. She's not too much longer for this fight, unfortunately, but she'll go as long as she can. As Alligapod continues to strike and attempt to fight off the effects of the sands, she rushes Maya, and swipes at her. If she learned anything, getting in Maya's face is the only way to throw her off balance. Alligapod attacks with Twineedle! Vibrava is KO'd, and Maya rapidly switches it out for Bagon, who immediately charges at Rei since Alligapod is not yet in range. Maya's armor deflects some of Rei's blow and she switches to her wrist blade, thrusting it at Rei.
Bagon charges 5 meters forward to power up its Headbutt with Run Up.

The blade takes Rei down to unconsciousness (Even after she dodged the headbutt and felt like she might be in it a moment longer, even). Alligapod takes advantage of them both turning to Rei, and despite the vortex, manages to flank them from the side and strike both of them! Alligapod charges, activating Lancer, and then attacks with Twineedle! (Using Spicy Wrap) AC 3 Bug Physical (Posions on 18+, doublestrike) Maya: KfxkVD_n1d20 Bagon: 1d20 Maya:1d8+37 Bagon:1d8+37

Magnes is nearly brought down, but manages to stay 'just' up enough to fight. The Magnemite backs off just enough, hoping the paralysis will give it another moment to fight. Using the shine on it's body, it reflects light into a destructive beam at the dragon type! Shinpuru continues to whack Maya down.
