Rei - Solo RP & Special Missions

Is it just... curious about me? Or something worse?

Rei contends to not deal with it for now and just keep heading back through the forest to route 1. She keeps checking to keep an eye on it but tries to ignore it otherwise.

Rei keeps checking over her shoulder but mostly has to look forward, back to Saffron and to face the music, as it were.

Rei just glares daggers at Raido for a second before holding the poor thing up and letting the wind catch it again. She had a similar experience with Nasi a while back. Maybe this is one of the evolutionary line? It looks quite similar. Either way, she still hasn't even used Nasi in combat much. Shouldn't let the poor pokemon get put aside by a similar one.

After letting it catch the wind she glares at the Absol for a moment before moving on.

Rei tenses when she first hears it. She's just reminded of how Tiki and her will never sing and dance again. But after a moment, it's almost hypnotic and soothing, and she forgets her thoughts for a moment as she follows it...

Rei and Raido just chill out for a while without approaching too close and scaring them off and listen for a while. Somehow it's clearing Rei's head. At least a little.

Rei listens for a while, and just turns her brain off for a bit. But when they get closer it turns back on pretty quickly. Her body is aching for some dancing that's not in battle. But... the last few times she's danced for fun was either with Tiki or Holly. It will never happen with Tiki again, Rei broke her. Even if she was ok, they can never get back their friendship. And Holly... Holly. She told Rei last night to try to enjoy herself more. Be less 'nice'. And the second Rei let her guard down she was hurt with Holly taking off. She was immediately burned for that.

She's stuck.

What can Rei do? There's no happy middle ground for her. Either she remains her selfless version she is now, the version that stresses about her friends and probably worries them to death and drives them crazy and makes them regret knowing her. And on the other end if she decides to drop all of her protections and think about herself, she becomes evil. At least in her eyes.

Is that what it would take? Rei can't turn 'down' this side of her. She cares so much for the people around her, if there's any issue she wants to help. It's second nature to her. If she lessened that, she'd feel the urge still. It'd never go away. She'd have to turn it off completely. Destroy the urges. Become a selfish witch and only think of herself. Her power, her needs, her advancement, her pleasure, her enjoyment. The second she cares about someone else everything would come flooding back in like the tide. So it's either she slowly loses herself in everyone around her or becomes so self-centered she'd hate what she'd have to become. Which will it be?

And most of all, these nightmares invading her are trying to guide her to be some sort of savior. But how can she do that when the dreams are doing all they can to make her doubt herself? When they are literally torturing her?

A single tear runs down Rei's cheek as she hangs her head down. Rei stands from her position on the floor. But she doesn't know what to do. Half of her wants to join and half wants to run away.

Rei just begins matching their movements. She needs distraction. She needs to not think. Thinking is driving her mad. As soon as she can she should just go to rock tunnel. She'll be with people to keep her alive, and give her direction. She won't have to think for herself. At least for a while. Just bury her worries until she thinks of a way to deal. 

Like this. She's dancing with them, they lead the music. She's just following.

Rei just loses herself in the act, and has successfully turned her brain off. Although it is momentarily on just to notes that she's impressed by the dances themselves and makes careful note of the acts so she can replicate it.

"I suppose I do. Although for me personally it felt like I had to 'just wait' until I was better. Although it seems life aways finds a way to keep you from being still, although in most of the things that happened, I rather would have stayed still."

Rei sighs.

"Sorry. You don't need to hear my problems. How's Vibrava's healing coming along?"
