Rei - Solo RP & Special Missions

"Well it's a good thing I brought him with me then! Considering I only have the two steel types, I had a bit of room in my team and I figured Gryz would like to get out and experience more than the guild grounds."

She pats Gryz on the head.

"So... have you been to Rock tunnel before with her? Or is this a first for you as well?"

"Mmmm, ok. I figured as much. I've visited Mt Moon but didn't really get 'inside' per se, so I've never had the experience."

With that, Rei goes a bit quiet again as the group travels.

(If you got people who want to talk to Rei, go ahead, I've got no more ideas then bugging Maya )

Speaking of Mt Moon and the events thereof, it seems they've reached Cerulean. As she's told she has a couple of hours, there's really only one idea she has on her mind. And since she hasn't seen her since the party (And didn't really get a chance to talk), it'd be a bit perfect time to do so. 

With that, Rei tells the group she'll be back shortly, and heads over to say hi to Mayor Kalani!

Oh, there we go, easy to find.

Rei walks up careful as to not surprise her too much, and waves.

"Good Afternoon Kalani!"

"I suppose we really didn't talk much at the party, or when we visited here originally to deal with the guardian. Don't worry about it."

At least that means Clay probably hasn't blabbed about her problems to the world, at least.

"Rei. Rei Leeda."

Rei gives an 'eep' as one of the water-types try to take a nip at her, and she giggles.

"I suppose Clay hasn't talked a lot about us when he visits, I suppose. He's told us of you. I've been told things are going well between you two."

She smiles. As much as it seemed Clay was having a less problematic relationship than her, she was really happy for the two of them.

"I just wanted to pop by and say hello. I'm traveling with my guild branch to Rock Tunnel and we are taking a stop here for a break for two hours. So I thought I'd at least try to visit you and chat for a little while."

Rei laughs and does just that, pulling up some beach to relax. She decides against grilling her about their relationship, as Rei is in NO position to judge anything in that regard. Probably not ever again. Even if her worrying 'protect her friends in every capacity' alarm is going off internally. She instead just idly chats, asking how the town is doing, maybe some questions about being the Mayor of a town like this. (After all, she's only slightly older than their group and yet in such a position of power, she's gotta have a story behind that)

She lets her pokemon out to enjoy a bit of relaxation. Save for Duch, as the bright sun is a bit uncomfortable for the ghost type. Magnes seems to just be content with floating nearby. Alligapod goes to the water and take a little bath, mostly to clean her steel-like chitin armor. Zumu decides to sun-bathe on Rei's stomach snacking on something. Gryz however, sees bitey rivals and snaps at the air at the young Totodiles.

Shinpuru, a master of bite-fu in his own right, knows exactly how to solve this. Normally he'd be all up in this to prove his teeth are the strongest, but all these younglings look like they've just barely grown said teeth. Too easy a fight. And as Rei's oldest companion and her first pokemon, he has a 'veteran' status to the others, especially as Gryz was born from an egg not too long ago. Shinpuru waltzes over to things the sea has washed up, and finds the perfect object. A log of driftwood! Among his bidoof sisters and brothers, this was the way to solve who's teeth was sharpest. He drags it back over and sets it infront of the tiny dragon and tiny crocs and takes a test bite to show them what to do. Not one to be shown up, Gryz (and presumably the others) start biting into the wood and comparing. It's not long before the piece of wood is torn to pieces. Shinpuru thinks that some day, these will all be worthy adversaries.

After relaxing and chatting for a bit, Rei gets back up and returns everyone and looks to Kalani.

"Well that was nice. But I can't stay too long. I'll be going. I might drop by on the way back but who knows when that will be."

Rei goes to leave but turns.

"Hey, is Clay visiting you enough? I can probably bug him more to come spend time with you if not. He's owed some days where he's not just training."

"If I get back and mentioned I talk to you, that may give him the idea to come here before I even mention this part. If not, I'll let him know. I think though you might see him soon anyway, with myself gone and Tiki... otherwise occupied, he may get a little lonely and come by."

Rei winks and waves bye before heading back to the meeting area for hiking part two.

Finally they were there. Rei still has NO idea what to expect, and today has probably been about the calmest for her in a while. The calm before the storm, she guesses. First this, then marching back, then one single day till Tiki. As Rei sets up her camp, she's got one thought repeating in her mind. Well... two.

She has to beat Tiki. That's the first. She's tried so damn hard to keep her friend. This is her last chance. Even if Tiki hated her, if it saved her soul then so be it. Rei would lose her best friend in order to save her. And the other... well Rei has to steel herself if she loses. She has to try to move on and respect Tiki's win and decision. Much like Rei expected out of her about her decision not to choose her.

Rei finally sets up and settles in for a camping night of sleep. It takes a bit to shut her thoughts down, but she manages to finally fall asleep with Shinpuru, Zumu and Gryz snuggled up with her to keep her warm.
