[OOC: That attack has a range requirement, but you have just made me realize that a Pokemon is supposed to be closer to use Screech, too. As such, in order to compensate for my error I'll allow Pidgeotto to use Featherdance without getting into range, just this once.]
Round 2!
Brad Van Darn: Well then, now the real fight begins!
[OOC: It's now Ash's turn, but in these gym matches, humans don't usually do much. Thus, a short time after no response, we'll skip to Pokemon; in which case it will again by Lucario's turn.]

I apologize. Pidgeotto kind of blends in against the background of the floor texture, and I didn't realize that he was right in front of Ash. I thought that, when I didn't specify a staring point by mistake, Pidgeotto was placed face-to-face with Lucario. That's why I chose the Move I chose. And Ash has no Trainer actions this round, so go ahead with Lucario. I'm learning as we go.

Though it's not very effective, Lucario hits Pidgeotto with Force Palm. Attachment DeletedIt lowers Pidgeotto to 65 HP. Now's Pidgeotto's turn to strike back.

[OOC: Oh, wow, really? Sorry, I missed that in the game info. I've never played a game where the GM handled so much. So all I really do here is just roleplay?]

Brad realizes he's got a type disadvantage, so sends out Gothitelle. Attachment DeletedIt's Ash's turn to take action if he likes. Next is Pidgeotto. [ OOC: The initiative has shifted because Gothitelle, unlike Lucario, is slower than Pidgeotto. Also, I apologize for being slow to update; I have a guest over and haven't been on the computer much. Finally, I do the rolling elsewhere just in case players try to cheat by re-rolling. Nothing personal; just taking precautions.]

[OOC: No, I understand. As for Ash, I don't see him doing much at all in this match. His inventory looks empty and, of his four Features, only one (Hidden Strength) seems like he might want to use it, two others being Static constants anyway and the one after that only being good for finding Everstones, which wouldn't be a very smart use of his time during the battle, lol.]
Ash: "Pidgeotto! Get in range and use Sand-Attack!"

Brad skips his turn this round.

Ash: "You did a good job, Pidgeotto." [Recalls the Pokémon back into its ball.] "Now get some rest. We need a new Pokémon to fight, and I choose you! Squirtle! If he can give a command right away, it will be for Squirtle to use Bite, otherwise he'll do that as soon as he is allowed.

Ash has no actions. If Squirtle can hang on, he'll command it to use Bite again.

Gothitelle used Embargo! Squirtle can no longer use items!
Squirtle used Bite! It's super-effective...though how much it has damaged Gothitelle is unclear.
Round 6
Brad Van Darn: You aren't doing so well, boy. Perhaps I'm too tough for you right now, but maybe we can make a deal for the badge. First, though, let's go a little further!

Ash: "My Pokémon are stronger than you think, Mr. Van Darn! We're going to give it our very best!" Ash's next commands for Squirtle: Bite every round until someone faints. If it's Gothitelle and not Squirtle, keep Biting the new opponent.
Ash's next pick if Squirtle is fainted: Pikachu
Ash's next commands for Pikachu: Thunder Wave (if Goth is still out but near fainting, hold on this one for the next opponent), Thunder & Quick Attack combo (if Goth is still out, save this pair of Moves for the next opponent; if Thunder wave hasn't been used yet, use that first and use this combo after Thunder Wave), Thunderbolt (use this to finish Gothitelle, if needed, or else use it after the other Moves above have been used), Thundershock in all other instances
Ash will have no Trainer actions, Items to use, or Features to apply, so all of his Trainer turns can be skipped aside from recalling and releasing Pokémon.
