Digger whistled to his Litwick who quickly dashed over. "Hold up fellas. Guy, use Minimize." As hit Litwick began to shrink to nearly half his size Digger quickly scoured the ground for a rock or some small item to throw. Finding a solid looking stone a little smaller then his fist, he turned to the mounds of snow. "Who's there? You get one chance to come out! I'm warning you!"

Intuition DC 10
You get the feeling that creatures that are hiding, are hiding out of fear; most likely fear for their life. You are unsure if they view you as a threat or there is another threat lurking out there, but they don't seem to be hostile or aggressive. If they were aggressive, they surely would have attacked after having been spotted, and subsequently called out by Digger.
Intuition DC 13
You get the feeling, that with some coaxing, possible food, or some other form of kindness, the creatures that are in hiding may be more receptive to coming out from their hiding spot
So, you can use charm to coax them out nicely, Intimidate to force them out of hiding (making them nervous enough to show on the map), or Pokémon Education to figure out what the "lump" in the snow is

fV8f0KML1-61-6 Digger couldn't tell whether the Swinub that were behind the snowbanks were about to run or charge. "Ready up Litwick. This could get nasty." Digger wasn't exceptionally nervous, but he wasn't about to let them catch him off guard.1-6·1-6·1-6

I presume that Digger would communicate with the other 3 trainers, who can make Intuition checks of their own to "think things through" of the current dynamic

Finding the Swinub that Digger pointed out, he was sure they wouldn't attack and wanted to ease the rest of the group's minds. "It's alright everyone, they're not going to attack us; they're scared." Considering the others, it seems as though they wanted to beckon them over. Normally Ian wouldn't interfere with wild pokemon unless either necessary or they were what he was searching for. Considering his lack of interpersonal skills with pokemon, he figures he'll leave it to the others to bring them out of hiding. A swinub, however, wouldn't be bad to have in this frigid environment.1-6·1-6

Digger nods to Quinton. I hear these Pokemon have roots back to the Pleistocene. that's over 100,000 years ago! I've gotta have one! (OOC: I'd like to have one of these in my party purely for thematic reasons. A Mamoswine would be a great Pokemon for a character obsessed with ancient Pokemon. But, that being said if this is someones favorite Pokemon or even if they just really want it or something then it's totally cool.) Digger readies a Pokeball and turns to his companions. Don't mind if I snag one do you? I'd love to do some research on one. They've been around for thousands of years you see and their evolu... Digger cuts him self short with a look of embaresment. "Sorry. I'm just excited I guess! This is the first time I've really had a chance to battle wild Pokemon with out my father. How fortuitous it is that it comes from such an ancient line!" Seeing how good Regina is with the Swinub an idea begins to form. Regina. Do you think you can help me catch one of these lil guys with us having to knock them around?

Listening to Digger's clearly excited tone of voice, Ian smiled, "I'm fine without one." Pleased even more-so by the suggestion of persuading the pokemon to join willingly. It would certainly make things easier on everyone including the wild pokemon.

The three wild Swinub, come out of hiding as Gina coaxes them out of their hiding spots. They don't look too terribly vicious and look around as her soft voice and tone seem to put them at ease. They come closer, inch by inch. Digger gets the idea to try an convince one of them to join their group willingly, rather than having to undo the trust you have started to form. The trio of Swinub get closer, but a Pidgeotto flies in, and lets out a high pitch "SQUAK". It looks towards the Swinub and fat little meal tickets. The Pidgeotto flies towards the middle-most fat little food source. It whips its wings into a fervor, and slings powdery snow into the eyes of the cute little guy. The snow covers the Swinub, and if it wasn't for a small shake, you wouldn't even know it was there. It flails around aimlessly, as it tries to see. Party Up Sand Attack AC 5 _JCe3ssF1-20

Seeing the Pigeotto come swooping in Digger does his best to act fast. "Litwick! Ember that good for nothing bird!"He quickly pulls out his note pad, scribbling furiously as the bird attacks. [Chronicler: Technique Training - 1 AP – Standard Action, Interrupt. Target: Sand Attack]

Watching the Pidgeotto interrupt their attempts to coax the Swinub to join them, he understood the ways of the wild pokemon feeding off of each other, but perhaps Digger getting this Swinub will prove very useful in the future. Following his lead, "Torchic, Ember the Pidgeotto!"To hit:laCN5Q5u1-20

Your group, seeing the Swinub in danger, goes into action. Gina rushes forward, trying to sweet talk the Pidgeotto, but stumbles over her own words as the Pidgeotto cocks its head to the side, angered as Gina as she tries to be "sweet". Gina follows up her stumble of words, by blowing a kiss at the flying menace. The Pidgeotto swoops as Gina begins to wink. The Swinub's all scatter in various directions, they are unsure who to trust, but know enough to not stick around. Gothita, moves its cute little legs, and stops next to her trainer. She begins to lets out a torrent of fake tears, which catches the Pidgeotto off guard. You can see a single tear start to shed from its eye, even in its hungry state, emotion is a powerful emotion. Quinton moves forward, along with his Aron. Quinton focuses his inner zen, causing him to be lighter on his feet. Ian's Torchic, took a second to process its trainer's commands, but it's flame on its head flickers, and lights ablaze. The flame is directed towards the Pidgeotto, which is unable to dodge the fiery assault. It's wings are singed, but it stays hovering in the air, very unhappy something is coming between it and its next meal. The Pidgeotto flaps its wings and get a wild wind brewing. It slams into Litwick, with considerable force. It seems to dissipate some as Litwick's defense against specialized attacks are strong Initiative: Round 2 Pidgeotto: 16 (done, gust attack, then shift back)

"Litwick you got this! Don't let that bird push you around! Hit that ugly bird with your Smog" Litwick dashes forwards, managing to get just within range, but he's unfortunately unable to hit.
