Hermit melts into a puddle, is recalled, and Star is brought back out. She has a massive cough, and seems to be on her last legs. But, she goes in for possibly her last hit.

A disappointed Bob recalls his Grimer and fishes around in his satchel for Tiki's prize money and bet money.

Tiki cheers, picks up, and coddles Star. "OH STAR!! Good job, sweetie!!" Tiki recalls her into her ball, skips over to Bob, and accepts her reward. "Thanks mister! That was fun!" She waves good-bye, and skips off back to town.
Heading back into the guild, Tiki goes to the infirmary, and gets all her friends nice and healed up.

Apparently Tiki's luck isn't with her today, as she finds it difficult to find potential new friends along Route 3. Just as she's about to give up and go look someplace else, Star the Eevee's ears perk up and it looks off to the left at a small pool of water. From out of the water comes a weird, red, crab-like Pokemon. It scuttles about the water, waving its claws about and frightening off anything small enough to be intimidated by it before trudging back into the water. Observing its behavior for awhile reveals that it does this about every 10 minutes, or whenever a small Pokemon (like Rattata) goes to get a drink.

Tiki gets low as she spots the spunky crab. She then sends out Justice, who is very happy to see her, smiles up at Tiki. "Hey there! Oi, there is a nasty crab over there hogging all the water from other pokemon. We are gonna take care of it. So, head over there and lure it out. Be careful sweetie!" Justice nodes excitedly, and trots over to the edge of the water. Tiki follows behind.

As expected, when Justice heads over for a drink, the crab leaps out of the water, waving its claws about and takes a swipe at Justice!

The crab seems to not notice (or care) about Tiki's sad eyes. It does, however, care about those razor-sharp leaves that just cut into it.
"PHIIIISH!" It screams as it rushes Justice a third time.

Justice is starting to bruise up, and looks a little shaky. Tiki takes notice, and quick switches out Justice for Star. "Halfway there Star! Get 'em!" Star pops out, and rushes down the crab.

The crab is bowled right over, startled by the sudden change of foes. It gets sent flying back into the pool with a loud splash and sort of floats back up to the surface, obviously unconscious.
Tiki earns 8 Poke XP.

Tiki cheers as they take care of the problem crab, but soon realizes that leaving it her would just postpone the problem. She decides to wait for it to wake up to try to remove it by capture. She also takes time to heal up Justice who took quite a beating.

It takes maybe an hour or two for the crab to wake back up. One quick boop from an Apricorn Ball later, and it now belongs to Tiki!
Level 8 Corphish, Male, Rash, with Hyper Cutter.
