"H-Hey wait!" Tiki grabs onto it before it gets away. "Come on! I promise you'll love it!"

Magnemite doesn't seem to appreciate being grabbed. It gives her a little jolt to make her let go. Apparently hyperactive grabby humans aren't its style.

Tiki lets go after the quick zap. "Ow! That's not nice! I guess we gotta do it the old fashioned way!" Tiki sends out her trusty mount, Chariot, and has it blow some hot flames at the magnet.

Tiki sends out her tanky Bayleef who tosses out some colorful leaves at the enemy. Tiki tries her hand again at catching the eye.

The floating eye barely even feels the leaves, but the ball seals it away.

Tiki wanders around town for awhile, passing by a lot of the more common urban dwellers such as Pidgey or Rattata. Such things are not what she's interested in right now. It's been over a week, at the very least, since she last saw one, and dangit, Tiki is bound and determined to at least get the chance to play with a Porygon from those stuck-up techno-babblers at the "school/research center/whatever its called". Just as she's approaching the campus, there is a loud crash coming from the main building. A window has been busted out, and some weird, pink and blue thing comes flying out of it. As if having somehow spotted her from over 80 ft in the air, the pink-blue blur makes a beeline for Tiki, nearly crashing into her!

Tiki yelps, and covers her eyes as she initially thinks someone just jumped out the window. But, as a blur of colors come rushing towards her, she dives out of the way into some bushes. She then peers out of them to see what just flew out of the building. "Wow! Geez! What even was that!?"

Peering out of the bushes, Tiki comes face to face with the culprit. It's a weird, rounded creature that looks at once similar to a drinking bird, but also like Porygon; just a lot less blocky. It stares right into your eyes.

Tiki blinks a few times, and tilts her head. This was another quite mysterious creature. "Hey. You look like my friend Porygon...but rounder and smoother!" Tiki gets out of the bushes, and walks around, inspecting the bird like thing. She then takes out her tome. "What are ya exactly?"

The Tome cannot ID it, but based on data collected from your group's encounters with multiple Porygon, the Tome can only suggest that this is Porygon (despite not looking exactly like it). While you are trying to get the Tome to tell you what this guy is (it takes several minutes due to it being an unknown Pokemon), a familiar face rounds the corner, huffing and puffing.
"Hey..*pant* Porygon...why'd you..jump out the window..*huff puff* like that? You *gasp* *wheeze* know we'd never hurt you, right? Just *whew* trying to understand how you evolved like that.."
That's when he notices you sitting there in the bushes. "You seem familiar *pant*. Have we met before?"

Tiki looks back and forth between the man, and pokemon. As things finally click in her head, she gasps, and hugs the bird. "Porygon! I knew it had to be you!! I missed you! Did you miss me? Did you see me out that window!? I thought I told ya to be careful." She breaks from her endless chatter to look at the guy. It was...one of those guys she barely remembered. And, probably one of the guys who didn;t let her play with Porygon! Tiki unitentially flashes an unimpressed look, and holds Porygon in her arms. "I brought Porygon back that time he got out. I see he looks different. Why did he jump out that window?"

As the guy finishes catching his breath, he straightens himself up. "Honestly, that's the same question I was hoping to have answered. He just.. randomly evolved yesterday after he was found messing around with a Data Disk we had lying around. The Disk contained the same Spell Code used to create Porygon in the first place. Then, out of the blue, he just leaps out the window and just so happens to stop next to you. The random girl he met before. I have no idea what's gotten into him, but we still don't fully understand how he works, especially after this sudden evolution, so he needs to come back to the Lab again."

Tiki takes a reactive step back, and holds him tighter. "B-But I just got to see him again! I wanna play with him! I've been wanting to come play for a long time, and no one lets me! So, I think it's due time that Porygon and I hang out!"

The man bristles a bit. "Porygon is not a toy! It is a magical construct that requires a great deal of study to understand. We may have created it, but there is still so much to learn about it! Not to mention they are incredibly difficult to create in the first place."
He sighs. "Tell you what, kid. You let me take this one back to the lab for further study, and I'll give you a copy of the prototype form. That blocky version you saw before. Deal?"

Tiki shakes her head. "No! This one! I made friends with this one, and all this was because you weren't giving him attention! He evolved, and jumped out the window cuz you didn't treat him like a Pokemon! They got feelings too!" She hugs the poke, and makes squeaks as her cheek rubs against the smooth surface

"It has plenty of freedom! We don't even confine it to an apricorn ball, even though we easily could. We offer it food, but it doesn't seem to need, or want, to eat. It gets to interact with some of the other prototype Porygon we have, and we can better study behavior that way. How is that not 'treating it like a Pokemon'?!"
