Tiki takes a seat at the table she was just standing on, and cools down after her performance. "She seems like a cool lady. I actually came here with some friends." She pets the pokemon sitting by her side. "I hope they're all doing ok. We separated when we went to pick branches. I can't wait to meet back up. I wanna tell them all about this place, and our impromptu juggle session! Wooo! I bet none of them are having as much fun as we are! Haha!"

Jax nods in approval. "Hm. Nothing can possibly be as fun as a juggling competition if you ask me. I've heard some rumors though. That some of the higher-ups in charge of the Elemental Branches are really brutal. Especially Fire."

Tiki stops her bouncy self when she hears the word 'Fire.' Tiki looks up at the man, and says, "F-fire? You said fire right? A-are they really that bad?" Tiki chews on her thumb nail as she worries for any of her friends that might run into that scary Ashandra person.

Jax's voice betrays a hint of nervousness as he responds. "Yeah..fire.. I don't know for sure, but based on your reaction I'd say you had a run-in with someone from the Fire Branch. If the rumors are to be believed, then depending on who you ran into, you're lucky that you aren't in the Burn Ward right now."

Tiki sinks into her seat and groans. I-it may have been the branch leader...She was soo scary, and then her big pokemon came out, but luckily she went away...looking down at us...Are other leaders like that? Miss Genevieve seems super nice. I don't wanna be the cause of a war.

Jax breathes a sigh of relief. "If she didn't attack you, then that means she doesn't consider you a threat. That's good! It means that you're not in any danger as long as you stay out of her line of sight. You see that guy over there?"
He motions at someone across the room who has bandages wrapped around his forearms.
"That guy wanted to join the Fire Branch. According to him, she literally threw fire at him. With a snap of her fingers! Didn't even use her Pokemon, did it all herself! Scary stuff.."

"As for not even getting in, s'far as I know, Fire is the only Branch that will actually reject recruits if they 'play it safe'." He sighs heavily, then his tone regains its former mirth.
"Not to worry though, Lady Genevieve accepts everyone. Even if (and possibly especially if) they've been rejected from other branches for one reason or another."

Tiki's demeanor had changed somewhat. She sat there staring down at the table with clenched fists. Tiki did not like that at all. She could handle negativity, but when she others suffer, it really bothered her. This was probably just reality, but the young girl was either naive, or just stubborn. She had a feeling in her stomach, like a knot. Something just didn't sit right with her. Tiki then clicked her tongue, stood up, and raised her voice to be heard in the hall. Oi! Excuse me! Um...Who here joined the Normal Branch willingly as their first choice? Or...Who actually wants to be here? Her voice trailed off a bit at the end, but she raised her hand high to answer her own question. She then looked around for a response.

Tiki chews on her thumb nail once more as she starts sinking back down into her seat. She is a little disheartened at the answers she got. Just as she was about to sit, a thought ran through her mind, "...if we aren't making people smile, then who will?" Tiki blinks, slaps her cheeks, and smiles. She then reascends on top of the table. She puts her fists on her hips, and smirks. Well the rest of you better get those hands up fast! I'm seeing some unhappy faces out there! Tiki walks up and down a row of tables with a confident aura about her. Just because you didn't get into other whatever group, you think you can mope here!? This is the Normal Branch, people! We're like a big multi-interest melting pot, and not some secondary spot you unluckily end up in. Why sit around when we can show those who didn't find us good, strong, or whatever enough to be in their branch. Let's show everyone that Normal Branch is one of th-...IS the best! And, what is all this!? Sitting, and talking!? This some of our first time in the Guild! Lets celebrate, Normal Branch Style!!! Tiki plants herself in the middle of the hall, and flashes her biggest smile.

Seeing what you're doing, Jax gets up and stands with you. "Yeah! What she said! So you didn't get into the Branch you were hoping for, big whoop! It's much better to be here, among friends and potential friends than to be in one of those 'do or die' types of groups!"
Ace the Aipom begins screeching his agreement as well, swinging by its tail from the rafters above everyone's heads. The crowd begins cheering as your infectious spirit begins to grow on them.

Glee and excitement rush through Tiki, as she hops back down accepting handshakes and high fives. The growing party of people moving, singing, and dancing has really put a more positive spin on things. She casually strolls up towards Genevieve's office room. She goes up to one of the officers near the door. Scuze me. I know she may be busy, but could I speak with Miss Genevieve?

The officer knocks lightly on the door, then steps inside. A few moments later, they come back out and inform you that she will see you.
"Ah, one of the new recruits. I heard your little speech out there. I must say that I'm quite impressed with your ability to lead. Now, how can I help you?"

"You mean 'does the normal branch often get people coming from other branches'? Yes. Not nearly as much of it is from Fire, as you may have feared. I think that perhaps the 'horror stories' and various rumors may have driven people away from it. Lady Ashandra is... a difficult woman to work with. Even for me. It's why I try to limit my dealings with her."
Genevieve sighs.
"It's not as if she'll actually go out of her way to seriously injure anyone. She's strict, and perhaps a little overenthusiastic about 'testing' people, but to truly master fire, one needs discipline. If you can't handle her intimidating you, or otherwise don't have confidence in yourself/your abilities, then you could seriously injure yourself trying to handle raw fire."

But, I definitely don't think we should leave them high and dry either." Tiki chews on her nails. Sorry if I'm offending you Miss Genevieve...but I hope you're taking responsibility too. You're our leader, and you're much kinder, and sweeter, and easier to talk to than hot head over there. I just think from day one you should be there. Oh! Like with me, you showed up when I needed someone to make sure that everything was gonna be ok! Tiki smiles, grabs Genevieve hands, and starts dragging her towards the party. Like right now too! I'm sure there are some that could use some encouragement! Come on. Let us mingle!
