"Every time I stay out of a fight between my friends it gets worse!" Clay hisses in pain as chilly claws of shadow tear at him. "If you don't want this thing in your head, sit. down."
He swings his staff like Peng's leek, in what would be a swallow-cut move if he was doing it with a sword, swiping at Holly under Honedge's guard. Sandy edges away from Shinpuru, trying to keep Holly boxed in even if it means having Trevenant at his back.
Clay hops from foot to foot almost on the spot. "Honedge, Trevenant, Shinpuru, somebody! Will you please stop your trainers being idiots before they get the whole world killed! Rei, give me a tag or something so we can actually hold her!"
Clay uses Aerial Ace on Holly!

Honedge swings down of its own accord and parries Clay's attack so it can't hit Holly. All Trevenant sees is people who are supposed to be Big Sister's friends attacking her, so it strikes at the nearest target: Sandy. Now, if Clay had time to explain properly, Trevenant could possibly be persuaded.

Clay's words seem to make Shinpuru hesitate for a moment, but Rei barks an order again, and with no Sandy in the way, it's just going to be Holly and her pokemon. He rushes forward, using one of the new moves he's been taught to get them all. The Infernape somersaults out of her ball onto the field, landing crouched next to Clay. Clay chatters out a rapid string of monkey-talk to her. "Holly's got something in her head trying to make her do something dumb. She won't stop so we're gonna have to make her. Ignore Trevenant and focus on her."
His orders issued, he flicks his staff at Holly's wrist, hoping to make her lose her grip on Honedge at least for a moment. Sure, it can just float back into her hand, but that will take up time - time in which it can't block attacks aimed at Holly. Fan decides to show off her new move - flame surrounds her fists as she lashes out at Holly with a powerful blow. Even if Honedge intercepts, well... Steel-types don't like fire much, either.
Clay switches (fainted) Sandy for Fan.
