Adventure Thread - Group A

Rei goes off to train in town some more, finding a couple more losses before finally scraping a win. But it seems her pokemon gained a little bit more strength than normal, so it's not all bad. She heads back into the guild for the day, hoping to find the others, when Sheru pops out of his ball, right in front of a hyped-up Shinpuru. There's a pause between the two before Shinpuru begins running forward, gnashing his buck teeth! Sheru runs down a hallway away from the Doom Doof, and rounds a corner! Rei sighs loudly.

Not again.

She resigns to begin chase after the two, and the pathway leads somewhere she hasn't been in the guild, but it seems she's found the bug branch. She finally catches up to the two... three? She stops as she observes what's going on, a small blue and yellow bug has taken up the job of guarding Sheru from Shinpuru. The Bidoof angrily demands the steel of Sheru but the other one refuses him passage. Rei takes out her tome to not the species, a close relative of Shelmet... a Karrablast. Rei hmms, wondering how this situation will play out, but readies Sheru's apricorn ball, just in case.

Sheru sees Rei come to her aid and has a crisis. She always called him her brave knight and he's run like a coward from the one on her team that actually exemplifies that trait for her. Sheru should have stood up to Shinpuru a long time ago but couldn't. But... this new friend of his here showed the exact qualities she expected without any armor! Sheru has a thought. One that could knock down two Pidgey with one Rock Throw! He quickly converses with the Karrablast, and the strange bug nods in kind, accepting whatever deal Sheru asked for. Then, to everyone's surprise, especially Shinpuru's, Sheru pops out of the helmet, and it lands on the Karrablast! And then the Karrablast glows bright, followed by Sheru! When the light clears, the Karrablast is a lot taller, fully kit in armor, and brandishing two lances, both pointed at Shinpuru. And Sheru seems to now be an armorless ninja of some sort, and quickly runs up, clinging to the ceiling out of range. But Sheru is no longer in danger, as Shinpuru is now focused on the one with the steel.

You! Strange new bug! Your size does not intimdate me! I need steel to strengthen my powerful teeth! SURRENDER YOU-

Before Shinpuru can finish his chittering, the newly evolved Escavalier has used both lances to pin the Bidoof to the wall, who is now in no way to bite anything. He still tries for a few seconds, in anger and in vain. He stops and glares at the Knight.

Well. Played.

The Excavalier moves Shinpuru over to Rei, as if to say 'Did you lose this?' Rei, in a bit of shock at the dazzling double-evolution show, merely holds out her arms to catch Shinpuru as he drops. Shinpuru angrily chitters something about 'Next time' before one of the bug branch members rounds the corner looking for her Karrablast. She is surprised as well, and after some explaining by Rei, they find that the natures and new abilities of their bugs suit each other rather than themselves. They quickly agree to a trade, and both bugs seem happy with this prospect. Rei hugs Sheru goodbye and thanks him, calling him her brave knight one last time, stating that giving up his protection to another is the bravest thing she ever saw.

With the trade complete, Rei strolls back into the guild, still a bit in shock at the events and a bit sad that Sheru isn't with her anymore, but is keen on seeing the power of Alligapod the Excavalier in action!

Rei hears the unmistakable voice of Tiki and turns with a smile.

"Ah yes, Tiki! I had resolved to eat out as I wished to do more training after a frustrating day yesterday so I was out very quick after a very uncomfortable encounter this morning."

Rei walks over to pet the new pokemon, noting it looks vaguely familiar to the one that had given her trouble from that woman yesterday, but in Tiki's hands she knows it'll be raised well. She then notices Tiki staring at her new trade.

"Oh yes, allow me to introduce Alligapod."

The Escavalier gives a noble bow as Rei goes into the mini-adventure she just had, chasing after her pokemon and leading to the double evolution and trade.

"Yes I'll miss Sheru but he'll be around I think. And Alli and Shinpuru I think will have an understanding of some sort."

Rei giggles as Tiki's hair rises, but her Team mom instincts kick in as she tries to keep the hair down and smooth the static out.

"I'm glad Empress evolved as well, it seems we are all getting somewhere with our teams today. Hope Clay is getting somewhere as well. I was actually thinking about seeing if I couldn't find someone who would like to train Hari. I haven't had a lot of reason to use her much of late and I get the feeling she's feeling left out sometimes, and that Kopi doesn't like another flying-type around."

Rei says she'll be back after she attempts something, and roams the halls of the guild, hoping to find someone who could take care of Hari better than she can.

Rei happily takes one of the eggs, promising to take good care of the Eevee. Carrying the egg, she looks elsewhere for a new home for Hari.

Rei accepts and thanks the guildy and wishes them luck in raising Hari, traveling back, egg in tow.

"I'm back!"

Tiki meets back up with Rei after leaving a Minccy with the mentors to learn a few things. Tiki also didnt realize she could get a special badge to show off what branch she was part of. She has a flashy badge attached to her clothes. It is a white circle with a black star in the middle. She has also left her Mareep to sleep in her ball, and now has Star on her shoulder. She waves her best friend ever. "Hiiii Rei~!"

The pleasant smile is kind of the worst part. He's not sure if she's doing it just to be even creepier or if she actually doesn't realize just how intimidating her presence is. The last time Clay had this much trouble breathing he was literally choking on poison gas from that thief's Koffing.

"Y-you kind of are." He swallows hard. For some reason, despite pretty much trying to roast him alive multiple times, Ashandra doesn't have nearly this bad of an effect on him. Maybe it has to do with the fact that he knows D'mara can pretty much appear and disappear out of thin air. "Feels l-like... like staring down a..." He makes a gesture around his head vaguely reminiscent of a big spiky mane, or maybe horns. What he's actually thinking of is a Luxray, but even if he knows the human name for it he's lost the word.
