Carver listened to the girls berating quietly seeming used to being yelled at, the dressing down seeming to force him back into his human form as he sighed when she was done "You're probably right, either way Marine's are likely going to take me in. I passed out the berries...and 'I was only following the bosses orders' Isn't likely to fly well with any Mr.Absolute Justice." he said heading back into the kitchen, a few sounds of clanging and scuffling followed as he walked out a large pack on his back.
"Well if he is right, than there's likely ships fleeing right now. Chances are one of them is leaving the East Blue, Maybe I could try trading passage for labor, he said before turning to Melanie "Thanks...If we ever meet again and when we're not running for our lives, I'll try and make it up to you." he said

Colt's eye twitched at the human chicken's comment about his moral compass. He looked over his shoulder at Ferren. "Yeah? You got a problem with that?," he asked menacingly.
Then the other guy--who quickly introduced himself--hopped up on a table and started showing off. What is it with all these damn birds?!
"'Fat Cat' Morgan, huh?," Colt repeated, trying to remember if he'd heard the name before. Sounded like he might be a pirate. "Well if the watch is as light as you say, then that shouldn't be a problem. And it beats waiting around for those jackass Marines...or Red to show up," he said, uncocking his pistols beneath his coat. "The name's Coldeye Colt, Six-Gun Bounty Hunter of the East Blue," he said with a confident smirk, pointing at himself with his thumb.

Buuta starts as his conversation is interrupted by one of the newly-formed bird men yelling about pirates and marines and fruit. He realizes there is some merit to getting out of Pallet; he has seen first hand how prone Marines were to skipping due process and just locking up anyone they didn't like.
"I am sorry, milady, but I'm afraid that Mizano guy has a point. I should probably be off to find a ship going as far from this place as possible, so I don't get caught up in any more of this fu- I mean, this mess. Do not fear for yourself, though; since you haven't eaten a fruit, both parties are likely to have no interest in you.
...now how do I change back, again?"
Screwing up his face something fierce, Buuta concentrates on not being a Cleffa anymore. After a few seconds, he manages to transform back into a human - bringing the table he was still perched on down with a crash.
"Sorry!" he yells into the room, "I'm sure you can tell people a big-shot pirate came through here and get that taken care of with your insurance! Probably!"
Picking himself off the ground, he makes to head for the door.

Oh, dear, even more people...At least they all seemed to know what they were doing. Kind of. Stealing ships seemed kind of wrong, though, but as long as they weren't killing anyone for it, it wasn't THAT bad. Hopefully...Maybe she'd just lead them there. Besides, she didn't have anything packed and she certainly wasn't cut out for a life of piracy.
...Wait, did the kid just suggest shooting everyone?
"Erm...Well, the path's out the back door, and we might want to get going before the storm lets up. I know the path, so the lack of light won't be a big issue and will probably help hide our movements." She said, returning the shell-shocked and confused Chatot on her shoulder back to its pokeball. Which had been removed from her cleavage, and then promptly returned to said cleavage. Poor Dolly had been stunned by both the human transforming all around and that massive screech from before, and she just needed some peace and quiet. "So, um, follow me, please."
Gina began to lead the group back, but was stopped by her mother at the bar. "Well, where do you think you're going, young lady?" "Oh, um, I was just-" "You can't just go out in a storm like that without protection! You'll flash your whole crew, and THAT should only happen after a week or so." A confused Gina was handed a bag and a waterproof leather cloak, then pat on the back, her mother grinning. Which was REALLY strange, since most of the time she'd be tossing out these guys one at a time through the nearest window for trying to steal away her little girl. "Mom-" "No time to chat; I got a bar to clean and you got a boat to catch. Stay safe and say hi to your father for me." "Wha-" Gina was given a hug and kiss on the cheek, then her mother left to try and clean up the rest of the chaos in the bar and shoo out the others.
"...Um, okay. Moving on." Gina removed her hat, apparently stuck the entire bag of clothing and whatnot in there, put her hat back on, and threw on her cloak. With THAT taken care of, and apparently her mom's permission to leave, she continued to lead the group through the crowded back and to the back entrance.

Colt just kind-of blinked as the barmaid--Gina--used her cleavage as storage. Sure, he'd seen it before for small enough objects, but a pokeball was...fairly large. It had to be uncomfortable. Then, of course, came the awkward conversation with her mother...
It was at about this point that he finally registered what the kid said.
"Honestly, kid, I planned on just kicking the watchmen off into the bay," he said, "but if a fire fight does break out, you'd be better off aiming to injure, or just leaving it to us adults. Kid like you doesn't need to accidentally take a life just 'cuz your aim was off," he said in a serious tone. I still don't even think this kid could handle the recoil off that weapon...

"Seeing as how ye olde marines don't like my kind on principle, I'd think it's high time to shove off and sail out of this port." Marak tells the rest of the remaining patrons while paying his tab. "If we hurry, we might be able to get on a merchant boat to the next port."

The smile behind the blue girl's hand widened a little further as the pink fairy - Caval Buuta - gets flustered and injures himself, finding great amusement in this development. She was not expecting the big guy to have a med kit on hand, and that he knew how to patch himself up after he injured himself. Huh, there's more to him than meets the eye as well, she mused to herself as Buuta showed off one of his talents, before then spending a moment to calm herself down as she waited for Buuta to finish patching himself up. "Nice to make your acquaintance, Buuta. As for that remark, well, I have never seen this many people transforming at the same time before, so I guess we are "just lucky"," she replied, lowering her mouth to return a sweet smile reminiscent of the one she gave to Buuta before the chaos, appearing strangely calm and not at all bothered by the chaos unfolding around them.
And then a man that has also seemed to gain some bird-like qualities jumped up onto a table and started shouting out words to the people still inside the bar. Whatever conversation Buuta was trying to make was drowned out by the words this "Jin Mizano" was spouting, and they were quite interesting ones at that. The blue girl had heard a few rumors about this "Captain Red" fellow, and they were quite extravagant, but to think that that person was just on the outskirts of this small island, that's a scary thought. Apparently a few other people here agree with what he's saying, Buuta included. He does make a valid point, she thought to herself. Following his little speech Jin and six other people disappeared into the back of the inn, presumably towards a back exit, with the flustered and buxom barmaid from earlier leading the way.
If the patrons weren't panicking before, they're definitely panicking now, with half of the remaining transformed people considering high-tailing it out of there. The blue girl looked around the inn to find the black-and-red bird girl from before, and spied her berating the turtle man (who was now back in human form). It would be really bad for the blue girl if she lost sight of them again, so she had to quickly put her plan into motion. She needed a ship now. It didn't matter what kind of ship it was, just so long as it could sail. The red-skinned demi-human's suggestion was much needed solution to that problem. She would've really liked to have gotten a navigator and a shipwright before heading off, but a doctor and a chef would have to suffice for now.
"Ah, hold up, Buuta!" the blue girl called out to Buuta before he got too far from her, hoping he heard her call. "The truth is, I've actually been wanting to go sail towards the Grand Line, and I was looking to put together a crew tonight in preparation to set sail tomorrow. Sadly, this chaos and the news of Red and the Marines battling so close require me to, uh, accelerate my plans. Would you like to come with me?" she explained as much information as she could allow to Buuta before providing her offer and then impatiently waited for a response, her eyes darting back to where the bird girl and turtle man were to make sure they were still there.

Randy kept to himself this whole time, he actually wasn't reacting at all to the situation it seemed. "Hrm..." He was paying attention enough though. "Well..." He says softly. "Would you need a ship then?" He said with a soft smile, looking at the blue haired gal talking. "Let's put it this way. You get ship if I get trip."

Melanie's eyes widened. She hadn't quite foreseen this outcome. Is he going to leave right now all on his own? That'll make him an easy target! "Wait!" She blurted out, then hesitated as if lost for words. "Why don't we go together? There's safety in numbers. In fact, I think it would be a good idea to get the remaining shapeshifters and anyone else who wants to leave on board too."
Melanie turned to the man that had become a pink fairy and the bluenette, not even glancing at the dark skinned woman in the center of the room, who was likely close enough to overhear. "What do you think of that idea?" It was much easier to communicate over the small distance between them, now that the inn was more empty with so many people having left.
It seemed Melanie had spoken too softly though as her question went ignored. She did listen in on what the bluenette was saying however. The girl had to smile, this was almost too perfect. "Listen, Miss Blue over there is putting a crew together to get to the Grand Line. I think if we joined her we'd have a greater chance of avoiding or fighting off the marines. Let's go over and say hello, ok?" With that Melanie grabbed the man's arm, literally not taking a no for an answer, and dragged him over to the woman. As she did so, she looked up and smiled at the man, "My name is Melanie by the way. Bronte Melanie."
The pair soon reached - or was forced to reach, in Carver's case - the large man and the blue woman. Melanie narrowed her eyes a little at the woman. Is she really captain material? She wondered, but shrugged mentally. It wouldn't do to judge a book by its cover after all. The scrutinizing expression gave way to a smile. "Hi! I heard about your plans to gather a crew and we'd like to join you!" Melanie at this point was being quite rude to Carver, speaking for him like that, but she didn't care. This was what's best for everyone, even if he didn't realize it.

Tethys hung back, watching a lot of the commotion through the eyes of a mere observer. It was all quite fascinating, really. Someone was shouting something about a "Captain Red" and the Marines, and needing to leave the island via boat? Well, these people must be some bad swimmers, and their little party in this inn must have caught someone's attention if they all needed to run like this... Tethys would have bet on the Marines. Someone had told her that they were like a global law-enforcement group, which Tethys was also told was basically like being "the world's biggest party poopers". But still, all of the activity meant that she was mostly ignored, which was a little unusual for a first impression with the dark-skinned woman... And no one had really heard her ask about food, it seemed, which was a shame, but maybe they had eaten all of the food in the establishment before she arrived?
There seemed to be some people gathering around a weird blue-haired woman, and Tethys overheard something interesting there - she was heading over to the Grand Line, and forming a crew to do so! Well, Tethys didn't know what this "Grand Line" was, exactly, but a crew was something she'd picked up during her time swimming across the ocean. Crews meant people, and ships, and lots and lots of fun and danger!
"A crew? A ship? How exciting!" Tethys exclaimed, walking over and standing almost directly behind the girl known as Melanie. "My name is Tethys, and I don't need a ship, but I'd love to come with you!"

Buuta had barely begun leaving when he was once again stopped by the girl in blue. Upon hearing her request, he suddenly understood. So this is why someone like her would be frequenting a place like this.
"A crew for the Grand line? This is starting to sound like a proper quest! Count me in!"
When the other prospective crew members show up, Buuta looks at them in confusion. "We are to go out to sea with children? This can't be right."

Melanie scowls. I hate looking like this, I really do. "I'll have you know I'm 16 years old! I'm not a child! I just... look like one." Melanie suddenly looks depressed. She gets over it quickly enough though. "Anyway, my name is Melanie, Bronte Melanie. If we're going to be part of the same crew we should know each others names right?" The girl smiled as if Buuta's objections to going out to sea with her didn't matter. Mostly because they didn't, if they were to bar her from joining, she would simply sneak onto the ship! Melanie was confident that they would let her on board though.

Carver was about to turn and ask Randy where his ship was going before he was grabbed by Melanie and dragged over to the Proxy and Buuta's table. He didn't seem to mind getting dragged around 'The poor things just worried about me, no need to snap at her.' he thought at the moment thinking Melanie was a child until he heard her snap at someone that she was 16.
He listened as she explained the blue young woman, 'I wonder which fruit she ate, Did I even give her one?', was looking for a crew heading for the grand line 'Perfect, It's out of the east blue and I've always wanted to head that way.' when he saw Buuta with her he mentally sighed 'Hopefully I've got enough stock, I know how Buuta eats' he thought to himself having seen Buuta come in as a regular a few nights, knowing he could eat like a whirlpool. When the dark skinned young woman joined them he didn't mind however he started to notice a pattern as he looked to the others.
"Hello my name is Carver, and I'm fine with joining the crew if you'll have me, but I think I've picked up on something...None of us have a ship. However I think I have a remedy for this problem. That young man over there seems to have what we're looking for." he said motioning over to Randy "It might be a good idea to talk to him." he said to whoever wanted to be captain of their little group.

As the large group with the very nice barmaid who had given her free food started to leave the inn, Gwyn floated after them, sticking to the ceiling and walls, to hopefully remain unseen by anyone; ducking through the doorways at the last second before they closed on her. Hearing them talk about getting a ship, to leave Pallet was perfect for her, she always wanted to leave this town, so she sneakily followed them outside, where her form changed again. Now she was blue, and feeling oddly sad, as her tears join the rain falling down on those below her.
Gwyn flies around ten meters above the giant group of red crew, hoping that they won't notice her in the rain, and heads in the same direction as them. 'Maybe I can sneak aboard their ship before they leave town.' she thinks as she floats along.

Buuta quickly introduces himself to all the people gathering who didn't know him yet. "Name's Buuta. Caval Buuta, Manta Knight. Well, kinda-sorta-maybe Manta Knight, anyway."
He turns back to the blue girl. "So, uh, I don't think I caught your name? It would be rather awkward to keep calling you 'hey you' or 'blue lady' all the time."
"And what's your reason for heading to the Grand Line, anyway? Does the tale of the 151 Piece have its hooks in you too?"

Yes! The blue girl did it! She got her first crew member! This was a great step forward in her rushed plans, and the blue girl showed her happiness with a smile. "Great to have you on board, Buuta. Now, as for the rest of the crew-" she stopped herself mid-sentence as she noticed the young girl from before approaching her, the turtle man being pulled along right behind the young girl. The girl introduced herself as Melanie, and then she offered on behalf of herself and the turtle man to join the blue girl and Buuta on their journey to the Grand Line. And then right out of nowhere, another girl appeared behind both of the newcomers and enthusiastically introduced herself - Tethys - and offered to join them as well. Wait, what is she even wearing? ... is that a swimsuit? ... let's just assume that's a swimsuit. Yeah. Oh, and the turtle man introduced himself as Carver, while also echoing the blue girl's thought on not having a ship.
Though the blue girl did admit to needing to speed up her plans, she was not expecting her plans to be sped up this fast, and is now having trouble keeping up with this development. Externally, the blue girl kept a calm and composed face on her and smiled at the three individuals expressing interest, but internally she was panicking. In an instant the blue girl had just gotten three new crew members, and she was not mentally prepared for that. She didn't know what to say at the current moment, so she simply continued to smile at the three while she quickly composed a sentence in her head. And then Buuta dropped a bombshell on the blue girl: he asked for her name. The blue girl was seriously panicking under the surface, but she couldn't leave them waiting for too long, so she quickly constructed a few believable answers.
"Ah, my name? It's a little embarrassing to say in public, so could you make do without it? I'm fine with being called 'blue lady' in the mean time. As for my reason for wanting to go to the Grand Line... I'll admit that the tale of the 151 Piece is a quite lucrative one, and I would be lying if I said it wasn't the main reason for wanting to go to such a dangerous place." The blue girl pauses at this moment to think over Carver's suggestion of taking up the offer of the young masked man, but after much deliberation, she steps up and walks toward the masked boy. "Did you say you were offering a ship? I would like to accept that offer," she politely asked for confirmation first, before then accepting the offer if one exists.

Randy had a huge smile on his face, his cloak billowing as if wind had picked up upon it, striking a pose that totally isn't out of fiction. "YES! I, RANDY HAVE A SHIP! Provided I can come along with you guys I think I'd be cool with you taking it. I may not look it but I'm one hell of a shipwright... Just urm.. Unless you're helmsmen don't touch the wheel. The ship gets a little temperamental from time to time if people do that. Regardless." Randy took a seat and crossed his arms in thought. "But yeah that aside I wanna go along."

Given the battle that was at last news taking place 'outside' the waters of Pallet Island, it was perhaps unsurprising that the storm that had blown in was only getting worse. Within the Inn itself, Delilah stepped forward to the slowly forming crew and looked at them. First, she gave a firm look at her establishment's former hard working cook, before speaking up. “Don't take this the wrong way, but I know you will all be fine... I'm sorry that I fed you devil berries without telling you, but it had to be done. Vice Admiral Surge is on his way to the Red Oak Inn, and he heard reports of Jackson's, er... 'Red' or 'Red Hat Jack' whatever it is people call him, depositing Devil Berries here for safe keeping a while ago. That's what those were, and I didn't want the Marines obtaining them.”She tries to give a smile, but it's obviously tinged with a little guilt. “Speaking of which, if you plan to go, you should do it soon. The storm intensifying just means that Yellow, Pika, and Pipi are probably out looking for Surge. But Jack is surely heading home, to make sure we're 'safe', and to be ready to spring if Surge and the Marines show up. You shouldn't stay here. You might get caught in the cross fire, or captured as Pirates by the marines even if you aren't.”Outside, beneath a green cloak, a man with nearly glowing blue eyes and a wild mane of hair showed himself. “You twerps better hurry if you're trying to get off Pallet Island. It wasn't just a single ship battle, Red's fleet fought about thirty marine vessels that were all being sent here to capture any and all pirates and pirate paraphernalia that they encounter. As such, you might find yourself in a bit of a race to get far enough away from them, they might follow you for days, no matter how long Red, June, I, and the others of the Red Hat Pirates hold them off. So you might want to consider supplies, too.”He didn't bother to spend more time conversing with them though, turning and throwing forth a pokeball, releasing a rather intimidating looking Arcanine before the man hopped upon it's back and began to charge through the city. Conjecture might say he was busy waiting for them. THE RACE TO THE VIRIDIAN ISLANDS. No matter who's ship your chosen ships were 'before' they both are starting out rather flimsy in their capabilities, certainly not fast enough to outrun marine ships for long, and certainly not the types which will allow you to resupply, and you all quickly realize this, even if it's through the lips of your would be quartermasters. You need to get food and supplies from the Pallet Island area, especially the warehouses, and load them on your ships before time 'runs out' for you. Each player is allowed 2 rolls, their choice of perception, survival, guile, tech education, intuition, charm, intimidate, or command depending on how they choose to 'search' for supplies, and based on your rolls you will be told what you gain; though I will make it clear every 5 or 6 die wise will grant you 1 or 2 days (respectively) worth of food/water for your crew, or ship upkeep supplies, (your choice) in addition to anything else I say you find. How you roleplay your searching is up to you, but good roleplay may grant you additional bonuses to searching if they fit the die you are using to roll. Each crew is going to need to be safe: 20 Days worth of Water and Food Rations. Ship upkeep supplies worth of 20 days worth of travel. Additional Pokemon 'Crew'. However, for every roll after the 2 rolls, you are each allowed, you will move closer to being intercepted by the Marines or hostile Pirate crews such as those of Fat Cat Morgans or others.

Murray's eyes bulge at the information the stranger had just handed them; dismissing hte part about him being a member of the Red Hats for now for the more important focus of survival. "Right, we're gonna need materials for repairs and upkeep on the ship. Morgan didn't exactly have much left in the hold when he tossed me out. I'll meet you all at the pier, I'm heading to the dump. Anyone that can tell rotten wood from sound or the difference between copper and pig iron is welcome to join me."
Putting words into action, he begins moving towards the dump at a brisk trot. Thankfully when he arrived, the weather had driven the watch indoors for the moment, leaving a locked gate as his only obstacle. Fortunately for him, it was hardly one at all; by directing Ohm to hover over the gate and pull the iron pins out of the hinges on one side, he was able to quickly slip inside.
The place was identical to many of the other such rubbish tips he'd scoured before; a logical layout that islanders all over East Blue seemed to have arrived at. Without wasting a moment, he headed for the scrap piles, tapping, knocking and in some cases simply stroking the metal and wood components, testing their integrity and listening for the telltale sounds of flaws. Sound pieces that had damage were passed over to Ohm, who used his magnetic pull to begin snapping off weakened pieces, dismantling damage parts in moments, setting the sound components off to the side. Once he was done, Murray took precious minutes to construct a basic cart out of cast-off wood, gears and flanges. It wasn't pretty, but it was sturdy enough to handle the weight of all the crap he'd be putting on there, and still be able to move with some effort from one person.
From there it was on to the chemical and combustible sheds. Expired or close-to-it casks of pitch, damp gunpowder to be sifted through, rope that was mostly-frayed; all of it could be repurposed and reused by an intelligent shipwright. There were also the stray caches of more reputable materials that were sometimes tossed out by accident; the baby amongst the bathwater so to speak. Spare planking, slightly battered telescopes, compasses and even a small assortment of pokeball scrap that some industrious soul had probably intended to use, before having a shipmate mistake it for garbage. Either way it all added up to a major haul that would significantly increase their chances of getting out of range of the Marines' dogged pursuit. With Ohm at his side, Murray began pulling the wagonload of parts towards the docks. There was no time to lose!

Jin grumbles at the arrival of the messenger. It seemed the bad news had just gotten worse. They'd have to pick up the pace and get all their supplies NOW instead of restocking at an island in a few days, but he could work with this. He looked to the rest of the crew, nodding to Murray as he left. The best way to do this would be to divide and conquer. "I'm heading to the docks. With any luck I can secure the ship AND find some additional supplies. I'll need at least one person to come with me. No one goes alone, and we meet at the docks. GO!" He shouted, taking off towards the docks, lighter than air as he used some of his martial arts training to hurry himself along.
Once he reached the docks, the scene was about what he expected. Absolute Chaos. People screaming orders over the storm and each other, trying to get their ships ready to depart. Others were stealing, while some warehouse workers were trying to protect their goods from the heavy rain pouring down. Jin shook his head, a bit annoyed. If the Marines didn't go off half-cocked and try to arrest anyone they wanted to without a trial or a chance to speak for themselves, maybe this kind of panic wouldn't happen. That was a worry for another time though. Right now, he needed to try to find some food. A merchant, a thief, a worker, he needed to find someone he could obtain something from. Whether that meant taking it from a thief or buying off a merchant, he'd have to figure that out later.
As he made his way through the docks, trying to locate the ship and someone to procure food and water for the crew from, he stopped short while passing an empty dock. There were no ships nearby, presumably they'd already set sail when they heard what was happening. There were, however, a few boxes left nearby, perhaps forgotten in the rush or thrown overboard to reduce the wait of the vessel. Jin hurried over, checking inside one of the boxes. It was food, and most of it would last quite a while! Now he'd just have to figure out how to divide it amongst the crew....
