Palkia and Dialga have discussed and decided to test the ones who would upset the natural order. They have taken Usurpers from different timelines and pitted them against each other to test their mettle. Their only rule is you must establish your dominance over the other. The method does not matter.
Vivian steps into the arena with carefully masked agitation. To think she'd be plucked, just like that, and made to fight for the entertainment of some two-bit pair of gods. Her fear shows, in places, though hiding it hasn't been a problem since she gained this power. She can taste the faint taste of emotions in the air even now, though she knows she can't discern the difference between one scent and another in her human form.
Simon, the chatot, preens on its perch. Her right shoulder's quite sore for it, but at least he's unconcerned. He isn't as good an actor as her, which is fine because he doesn't need it. He has no eagerness to hide.
By the time they've ambled to their place on the spatially distorted battlefield, she can't keep from curling her toes in anticipation. The lightshow as space itself cracks and bends in the background makes for quite an impression.

Harrison gets basically zapped into existence. Holy shit- he's only just gotten used to this whole 'Being a god and having crazy psychic powers' shtick, and now he's forced into some arena by the literal gods of time and space for... a test? Amusement?
Thankfully due to his powers, he's not completely in the dark- he can ascertain a little bit of info from his surroundings, and stay relatively calm. That's one thing he's been grateful for since he's figured this power out.
He looks over to the girl and offers a sheepish wave. "So... do we really have a choice in this? Do you even know what the heck we're doing here?" despite piecing a few things together, Harrison sure as hell didn't.
So this is what they meant. Vivian eyes the new arrival for a few seconds before slipping into an easy smile and approaching a little, rubbing her arm awkwardly. She has little to offer but commiseration. "I don't think we do, but... for what it's worth, let's try to keep it friendly?" Her smile widens a little, and she closes her eyes in a show of trust, in the same movement she offers her hand for a shake.
The chatot on her shoulder turns his head erratically, trying to eye Harrison up with both eyes. His feathers are ruffled, as he doesn't appreciate people just teleporting in front of him. It's so rude.

Harrison awkwardly reaches out a hand to accept hers for a shake, giving a weak smile. He figured he'd be pissing his pants by now- but good ol' Uxie powers have him stable.
"Right... I should get my little guy out too" he says with a nervous chuckle, lightly tossing a pokeball out from his belt as a Mime Jr. appears. "Do we really gotta fight? If you have powers like me- maybe we can figure something out and get outta here" he's definitely not looking to die today or cause any trouble.
Her hand is... oddly stiff. "Maybe," she says with a shy smile. Her hand makes a silenced clicking sound she can feel more than hear, as a bullet is loaded at her knuckle, and she makes finger gun sign. "But first, I beat you." She had had to stop herself from just shooting into the handshake. That would've simply been too horrible. In a flare of light, her body shrinks, and a smaller shape takes charge. Grey and fairy-like, with pink bits and three red gems on its body, Mesprit makes its appearance.
Initiatives: Vivian, as Mesprit: 10 Simon, the chatot: 14

Harrison steps back a bit, tears slowly forming in his eyes as he realizes he might actually die here. All for nothing. He offers a weak smile, "Just like me, huh? What a way to go..." as he transforms into a similar looking shape, except with yellow bits instead.
Initiatives: Harrison, as Uxie: 15 Mimmian, the Mime Jr.: 10 (rolling a d20 to see who goes first- 10-20 Vivian, 1-9 Mimmian)
Simon screeches from his perch, as he's almost forced to wobble off of it. He takes to the air, a few meters over Vivian's head, and then starts running his mouth. He can direct the sound, which saves Vivian from suffering the effects, but the supersonic waves wash over Mimmian's tiny form from top to bottom.
"There might be, If you really want to win in the end, content yourself with being a stepping stone for now," she drawls, her voice more high-pitched than ever. She looks at Mimmian with a hungry look in her eyes, aiming her next words in their direction. "Modesty is a virtue, after all."
Then it's Vivian's turn to move. Her telekinetic hands bring her prosthetic arm forward, now disconnected from her body, but instead of the finger gun she had been making earlier, it's pointing her pinky forward. Boom! Her pinky seems to explode, the tip of it falling to pieces as a cloud of dust shoots towards Mimmian's eyes.

Harrison floats his way over to the Vivian turned Mesprit- seeming much calmer and more collected than before. "There's no reason to fight eachother- we should find a way to escape. Together, I'm sure we can figure a way out of this"
Simon faints, surprised by the turn of the tables. Vivian reverts to human form just in time to catch him in her arms. Crap, what a stupid oversight on her part. She knows her old self from a few days ago would've cried about this. She glares at Harrison, nodding towards the whole... rent in space-time they're in. "There's definitely a reason to fight, you can't just deny it! If you have a real idea, I'll hear you out, but don't come forward with empty promises. It's disrespectful, if nothing else." She sighs. At least chatots are light.

He frowns slightly, rubbing his teeny little arms up on his temples in Uxie form. "Give me a moment- I'm still thinking!" damn it, come on! He's supposed to be smarter now... to be fair, they are two of the three legendary lake spirits. They may not be major gods, but there has to be /something/ they can do together.
Post by DarnellJermaine on Aug 27, 2016 5:35:46 GMT
"Wait...that's it! Of course" he reaches his tiny Uxie arms to gently grab Vivian's face. "Hurry and get back to Mesprit form! As you probably know, the Lake Trio are supposed to be the Encorcers of the world- our power is probably weaker with only the two of us and since, well, I've never tried this before... but if we work together, we just might be able to cancel out Dialga and Palkia's powers and release ourselves from this spacial prison! We just have to grab hands and concentrate hard on dominating their presence with our own. Are you with me?"
Vivian steps back. Personal space, you little shit. She grumbles something or other about dumb plans and dumber boys, but crouches to gently lay her chatot down and then shifts into Mesprit form. She holds out one stubby 'hand' with a grimace. She's supposed to have more control over herself these days, so how come this is just as awkward?
Alright, if Vivians' good at anything it's imagining herself breaking things, she just never expected the thing to be everything. She can feel the thrum of power as Mesprit's aura or whatever it is slowly grinds into place around her.
The two unwilling Guardians focus their efforts on escape from their temporal bubble, and on turning their perception inward, stumble upon something. A power welling deep inside of them, one that threatens to shatter everything around them. It is too strong for them to contain, to control, raging and wild, demanding to be used. Were they to use it in this state, it would consume them utterly, erasing them from the very fabric of existence. If they were to use but a fraction of it, however, things would be different. At that moment, they both notice the same thing. A weakness in their prison, a hole in the fence, so to speak. They focus their power towards it, a golden bullet of light coming from each of them. Their aim is true, and the time-space bubble around them shatters, raining shards of harmless barrier around them. The two are then greeted by a truly stupefying sight.
All around them are what appear to be tunnels. Tunnels of light blue and green flowing through a deeper blue, almost ultramarine, backdrop. There is no end in sight. Tens, hundreds, THOUSANDS of tunnels as far as the eye can see. That's when they realize it. They are not simply tunnels. What appeared to be just tunnels, on closer inspection, appear to be streams. Raging, rushing streams, threatening to obliterate anything that gets into its path. The phrase "Time Marches On" seems wholly inadequate to describe the fury and power of these streams, which given their now-destroyed vessel, could be nothing but other timelines. Other worlds, parallel to their own. And they're... rising? No. The pair is falling. Falling towards another stream.

Hi there! I'm Seya, a 24 y.o. editor in Atlantic Canada. I enjoy writing, reading, webcomics, art, worldbuilding, and video games (I can talk for ages about SotC and Monster Hunter...). Although I'm relatively new to playing Pokémon Tabletop via forum, I've been putting together sites like this for a long time, and I'm really excited to work with you all to create an awesome environment for Pokémon roleplay. While my job here is primarily to keep the site running smoothly, I'm always happy to chat, offer advice, and deal with any problems you run across. Let me know if I can be of any help. Inbox is always open! Cheers! xx :)
Hello! I'm Sly, the East Coast mod representative! I'm a 22 year old tax accountant who is exactly as exciting as that sounds, I'm sure. PTU is my major hobby, I run several games (of which the Geode games are my pet project), and I read a disgusting amount of fanfiction. I've been a member of the community for about a year, consider myself more GM material than player material, and am dedicated to helping make your time here enjoyable! If there's ever anything you need, don't be afraid to send me an owl! (Or a PM, I guess, if that works better for you.)
Hey there! I’m DataNinja, the West Coast representative. I'm the most active Staff member on here, so if you need something, try giving me a poke first, and I'll see if I can help sort out your problem. Always happy to help!
(1 May 2015): "For our first pack, we’re focusing on utility character options. Hopefully, this will give you both interesting insights into our dev process as we make changes over time and another focused avenue to give us feedback on what you’d like to see out of PTU."
People are out there, yes, but if you're looking for a game, sorry to say that things seem to be winding down overall. There's basically been... 3 games in the last 2 years, none of which got off the ground.

It's very slow, yes. You'll probably finish working on your game before one pops up here, and if you create a recruitment for it you can expect to be swarmed with applicants.

New games seem to open up slowly here, but if new people are still welcome, I don't mind waiting around (or working on my own). It looks like there's some useful stuff to browse in the meantime.

Keep an eye on the recruitment area of this website. They're rare nowadays, but any new games that crop up will show up there. If it's a live game you want though, you're outta luck.
Dec 2, 2019 19:05:30 GMT
but how else do i find games then?

Sounds to me like they weren't a group you'd want to be part of anyway.

Basically, GMs post recruitments in the appropriate section, and then players apply to the open games. Unfortunately, there has been a rather... small amount of games posted lately, but there's one currently recruiting right now.
