Gennidran doubles back to check the bodies real for any loot or usable items, but keeps an ear open to listen to the conversation between the armored man and Celina, the conclusion of which is satisfying enough for him. 8TyoUS2E3d6 Perception to loot As he rifles through the bodies, Gennidran speaks up himself, "I'm a warrior- plain and simple. I fight, and I either win or lose" he says nonchalantly, as if losing didn't carry much heavier consequences than winning. "I usually win" he adds. After he finishes searching the bodies, he gets back up, quietly taking out the pokeball and returning the Timburr, setting it back on his belt and catching back up to the rest of the group. 3d6

Geier wouldn't trust any of these people with his life, no matter how much the armored man might harp at length about teamwork and saving the world. Of course, he didn't express that sentiment out loud. And for the Serpent's sake he was willing to stick with this group for the moment. After all, his God had chosen them for His divine mission - there had to be something worthy about them. Listening with absent curiosity to the girl's explanation of her power, the vulture-man picked at some of the nearby bodies, looking for anything scavengable with an eye for what might have killed them. Having been satisfied (for now) with Celina's explanation... not that she could make heads or tails of the whole "channeling" business, Martel tried to avoid the aftermath of their fight-cut-short by checking the unfortunates for supplies, like the other two. If she was lucky, it would look like she was being useful, too. Also looting a corpse. Perception; ihRnyj7S3d6 3d6

"It appears these unfortunate souls were merely victims of exposure, rather than violence," Geier announced, straightening after a closer study of the bodies, shaking his head with a murmured 'tssk.' He almost sounded... disappointed? "Nothing more sinister than the oppressive heat of the wastelands brought them low." He held up one of several Pokeballs he'd procured from the corpses, one beady eye squinting at it. "It seems likely they opted to release their own Pokemon rather than condemn the creatures to an eternity in limbo. If the cacti were once the only wild Pokemon out here, I would presume they are no longer. We may run into foreign beasts not normally suited to this environment. There's no telling how desperate - or aggrieved for their former masters - they may be." He eyed the relative openness of their surroundings with newfound trepidation.

"Aye; thanks for the heads up, Geier" he nods his head, keeping his eyes peeled for anything else of interest as they make their way to Shadrun. As they move forward he stays mostly quiet, listening for any sparks of conversation or tidbits being discussed. To be honest, Gennidran still doesn't know all that much about the rest of their team- especially this Armored Man. For someone who insists on communication so much, he has yet to even give them a name. He does seem to be the one focusing the most on keeping everyone together and having things move fluidly, so for the time being Gennidran feels it's best to put some trust in him. vAUs7t|E3d6 Perception to scan as they make their way to Shadrun

With an internal nod and everyone walking along, A'Lincoln asked, "We've gotten a suitible demonstration out of Celena. Would anyone like to go next?"

Well, now was Gennidran's chance to open up some dialogue with this guy! He steps forward, up towards where A'Lincoln is standing.
"I'd be happy to show you my skills, armored man- on the condition you share your name with us. If we are to communicate, it's important we at least know who you are" It was a start at least. Granted- Gennidran did already mention he was a warrior. He wasn't really sure how to show that besides swinging his new weapon around willy nilly, but he'd improvise if he had to.

A'Lincoln Considered for a moment handing over a false name. Though what we were doing was tradin information and buildin comradery.
He focused for a moment and the metal armor started to flake of in chunks. Revealing muscle that was slowly shrinking to the bone underneath.
The last piece of armor to break off was the helmet. Cracking down the middle to reveal a malnutritioned and weak but good looking face. The brands earthy look giving a more dead forest look. underneath the armor was a simple burlak tunic.
He looked at the group an announced his name, "I am A'Lincoln Caela. I hail from wildrix, the village of Dullahan.

Gennidran was silent for a moment- the powerful, steely man of armor who showed great strength and wisdom was... this guy? Still, he had been honest and shown them his true form, as well as his name. Gennidran could appreciate that.
"I respect your honesty and your willingness to reveal yourself to us. The least I can do in return is tell you about myself"
He takes a deep breath and thinks for a moment before beginning, "I'm one of the last remaining warriors of my village back in Twisturn, taught the ways of the fight in secret by the village elder whenever we could escape the harsh eyes of Dialga. I don't have much more to show you than I did just a moment ago- I know proper fighting techniques demonstrated in the Great War all those years ago, so I can swing a weapon and stay on my feet. I don't have any magic or great innate abilities- though the power of dragons runs through me thanks to the accursed brand placed upon the people of my village. My only knowledgeable strength is what I know of dragons from living in my homeland for so long, and being part dragon in a way myself. That's all there is to tell." he gives a firm nod to finish off his short speech, offering a somewhat friendly smile A'Lincoln's way.

Celina looks shocked as she sees the armor flake away revealing the skinny man underneath. She is stunned into silence for a bit. After a while she speaks. "Please tell me I'm not the only one that doesn't understand what he just did. Like the armor falling off and him being all...ya know, not big and strong?", she says, walking backwards but in the right direction so she face A'Lincoln.

At the mention of more demonstrations, Martel had very determinedly put a few more paces between herself and the armored man. She certainly wasn't planning on volunteering... although, if they had a chance to rest later, maybe she would be able to whip up a "demonstration", of sorts? She would prefer that over any sort of combat demonstration, for sure.
As pleasing as it was to have a name (and a face) to put to her final com- associate, the sharp contrast between A'Lincoln's perceived and... actual? Well, between his old and new appearance was striking enough to put Martel at a loss for words. After the others had recovered, though, she managed to chime in, "Not the only one, no... I don't understand it either." That said, she would have been hard-pressed to explain any sort of strange phenomenon, so it wasn't that hard to come to grips with, after her initial shock.

Geier observed A'Lincoln's deconstructive transformation in rapt fascination - it was like watching the armor rapidly succumb to entropy. As the man explained himself, more or less - emphasis on the less - Geier considered how to make a token 'demonstration' of his own. Something simple... a parlor trick would be enough to satisfy them for now. Geier stepped in close to A'Lincoln, heedless of the now-scrawny Wildrix's personal space, beak inches from his face. "Quite an intriguing display!" he murmured with a somewhat shuddering nod. "Unfortunately I cannot shed my feathers quite so easily," a second Geier added, walking around from A'Lincoln's side as he looked the man's revealed form up and down, hands clasped behind his back. "But I do possess... other useful skills.""Though surely, in an age where Gods walk the earth and disfigure their subjects," a third Geier continued, leaning against A'Lincoln's back, one clawed hand stroking his neck in thought, "one must have seen things at least as inexplicably odd as this before." All three Geiers converged into a group, leveling A'Lincoln with three cold, calculating stares, before two burst into clouds of smoke without warning. "A convenient skill, when one needs to make an escape," the remaining Geier observed, tilting his head and opening his beak in an avian leer. It was unclear whether he was referring to A'Lincoln's transformation or his own demonstration. Geier used Double Team!

Without a nod to Geier A'Lincoln smiled. It wasn't clear which thing he was agreeing to which was half the point of why he did it.
It was interesting though, he thought seeing Geier's ability to duplicate himself as interesting. Listening to the other's responses to his armor he gave another thought to turning back. Focusing the armor started to slowly recreate itself out of his skin. As it grew out A'Lincoln started to grow, his height increasing back, and his muscles growing back uniformly as the armor came back on to himself.
"How I do this? I'm not exactly clear how myself." He said answering the other two, "It's a rather new development."
Looking at the group he stared his metal body next at Martel, "And now it's your turn Martel.

They journey for a few hours, the wind blustering up a little of the desert about however a small shining oasis seemed to be ahead of them with clear water and fruit bearing trees.Gennidran spots some pokemon nearby the water but from what he can tell they do not look hostile.

Celina's eyes widen as she sees this before rubbing them. "This can't be real, can it?", she says running up to this oasis, not sure if she can believe her eyes. Intuition to tell if this is real. Spending 1 AP.

Martel had been quite captivated by the multiplying number of Geiers... in fact, she was amazed at how quickly A'Lincoln had recovered from the peculiar sight, and scarcely realized that he was turning... to face... oh. Skills, skills, what could she do? No, what could she do that would impress everyone? Preferably, without having to shock anyone... But, well, if that was what it came down to, was she really good at anything else? Well, running, maybe, but that wasn't impressive! Urgh, and she would have to tinker around with that toolbox she'd found before claiming she could actually use it, so that was a no-go... She could glow, but well, not impressive! Likewise, the only one that might be impressed that she had come from The Edge... had also made it unscathed, so there went that idea... They were probably all annoyed with how long she was taking to demonstrate, too! Thoroughly displeased with it, she eventually said, " I know you, probably want a demonstration, too... But, ah, oh! Shooting teammates would send the wrong message, so...". She didn't expect it to work, that excuse. In fact, she could barely finish saying it, and even failed to look at the one asking as she said it. Still, it wasn't a lie, not that she could see. It really would have been a bad idea to shoot someone as her "demonstration", and yet, that was all she could really... do. When the oasis came in sight, though, Martel figured it might be an opportune time to take a quick break, and then maybe she could see about showing another... potential... skill? She wasn't exactly confident that that would work, either, though. Intuition, to verify that the Oasis isn't a Mirage? kujnfTpL2d6 2d6

Gennidran listened as his teammates displayed their powers and conversed amongst each other- Geier impressing him particularly and earning a hearty slap on the back and a nod of approval.
Once the oasis came into view- Gennidran squinted his eyes and looked further. Having the supplies of his village- he wasn't really used to being out in the wasteland. Were there just bodies of water in the middle of nowhere? Nevertheless- he didn't know any better, and he sure as hell was thirsty- so he picked up his pace and began moving quickly towards the water at sort of a half speed walk half jogging rate.

A'Lincoln followed behind the group slowly. He wasn't thirdty but replenishing water supplies would be a good idea.

Geier peered at the apparent oasis ahead with skeptical suspicion. It seemed like the kind of place dangerous Pokemon and people would use as both a refuge and a tempting ambush. Perception 8r_OVp_63d6 3d6

You all reach the oasis and it is indeed real, anyone who checked for danger there is no immediate threats and there are some more placid pokemon around it.
