The Pangoro looks in Marietta's direction and sees her juggling three orbs. He takes a look at each of them revolving in a circle and then very quickly loses interest since it does not do anything for him, like food. Pangoro has already done his job for another. He points in the direction Jace went once more.
Jace arrives to the end of the corridor, where you bump into a group of plastic strip curtains. Before you go any further, you feel the tension in this current room grow to where you might get goose bumps. A female voice cries out to you.
"I don't know if you're brave or ignorant for coming in here alone and unprepared for this fight. But if you insist on fighting me now, please, take another step forward, Struggler."

Jace stood there with his arms at his sides. His face the picture of confidence, but his entire body shook. It just now occurred to him that this gym leader wanted a free-for-all. She could have any number of Pokemon in there. Jace looked down at Ace, who looked back with a smile. Alone? Nah. Jace was never alone...
That being said, he is going to wait for reinforcements. 3v1 were odds that not even Jace was willing to face if he didn't have to.

Tully smirks as Marietta starts distracting the Pangoro, slipping past them in the brief moment he's distracted. He keeps low to the ground. He doesn't honestly know if the giant panda saw him and, if it did, whether it cared, but he didn't want to come out of stealth mode just then.
As he comes to the end of the corridor, a wing stops him, indicating something in his path. He reaches a hand forward, feeling the strip curtains, and nods to Cassie. He crouches down and goes through them slowly, careful not to make any noise or disturb them any more than needed. It was unlikely he could get throw without being spotted, but you never know.

Marietta grumbles in what to her the greatest insult in her life. No one would ignore her skillful Pokeball juggling, it is her passion. She keeps the pokeballs, then gets an idea. What if she throws her Soda Pop and her candy bar instead.
Perhaps the most humorous case of trainer's Pokemon acting on their own, Joe gets fed-up with Marietta, and holds her by the shoulder, then drags his defeated trainer away to the darkness where Pangoro pointed. Marietta yells in protest, as she is dragged into the dark corridor. "Wait, I'm not done with him, no! Joe!"

Pangoro watches Tully and Marietta pass the lighted room. He looks down to the floor in deep thought, he takes a deep breath and enters the lighted room he showed Jace.
In the gym leader room, Ika hears Marietta's cries and lets out a little chuckle. "Looks like all the players are here. Allow me to introduce myself! I am Ika, the dark type gym leader of Umbridge Town. I see you three found your way around fairly easily without using the lights provided within the building. As you probably noticed, the 2nd floor was just a normal house, but you're free to look at some rooms. The basement here was the real route to me. My Pangoro was suppose to chase you without harm but that's not the case anymore isn't it? This fight will be a 3-on-3 battle, I will only use three but you're limited to two pokemon for each trainer but only one can be brought out at a time. Restorative items are allowed. Trainers may not attack make contact with the defender's pokemon."
You three see three faint streaks of red light and hear a popping sound a few feet in front of you. "Now Stugglers, are you ready for the real fight? Win or Lose, none of that matters if you don't give your all!"

Jace wasn't shaking anymore. This was their moment, their time to shine. Jace looked down at Ace and made an indicating motion with his head. Ace realized what he forgot and jumps in front of Jace, and the two of them perform a low sweeping bow. "It's an honor to do battle with you." He wasn't sure whether or not the half-blind gym leader could see the motion, but that's okay. It's the spirit of the thing that counts. "We're going to get serious right of the bat Ace. Let's make this quick." Ace seems to change at this command. His tail is low, and his fur is standing on end. He has the low gate of a predator, and somehow the adorable little Eevee looks fierce and deadly.
Jace binds the stratagem Reckless Advance to Ace.

Tully rases an eyebrow. He disagrees with her on that point - winning was incredibly important if it meant surviving, and not giving your all meant youwere more able to run away afterwards. Still, he knew better than to say so.
"Let's do this, Cassie." He says as the Murkrow flaps off his shoulder, ready for a scrap.

Marietta doesn't add much to the conversation, she knows what she needs to do, and prepares Jane's and Joe's pokeball on her pocket. She will win this battle, then continue exploring the mansion, and check if her father's Pokedex is still usable. She chuckles in anticipation, looking closely at the Pokemon about to be sent out.
Joe swings his arms around, while sharpening his claw, and sensing his trainer's anticipation, he readies for combat what is in front of him, and foooooddd...
Joe uses Sword Dance. Attack DB+2

The front shadow dashes to Joe before the other two can perceive his movement. He barely manages to stop in front of Joe and he brings his left arm between the two. The unknown pokemon then retracts the claw and uses the momentum from the dash to smash the unfocused right claw into Joe's jaw for a Feint Attack.

Joe clenches his teeth in anger, taking the attack on his squarely right claw, then slashes the air with his left claw, hoping it'll hit his target. Marietta observes the situation and comes up with a plan, she remains on hold.

Cassie squawks, quickly seeing through the darkness and identifying the best target. She flaps hard and rams he beak at her opponent. However, in her excitement, she forgets that it can see in the dark as well and sails over its head as it ducks out of the way.

Jace's mind was running on overdrive, playing through every possible scenario. He sees the speed on Pokemon 1, and immediately realize that it is Sneasel. Which also means that it isn't resistant to Ace's normal type moves.
"Ace, hit that one fast and then get out of the way!" Ace was quick to comply. Fwoosh he was there in an instant, driving into the shadowy figure with his legs. Sending the figure flying, Ace quickly follows behind, separating the two of them from the group.
Jace knew that Ace was at his most vulnerable after delivering a powerful hit like that, so he hoped to get some sort of separation. Ace could take on Sneasel by himself if given the opportunity...

Pokemon 3 swiftly dodges the strike from Joe. If that hand makes the slightest of contact it would be serious trouble. Pokemon 3 keeps an eye out on Joe but is blindsided by the Eevee. Pokemon 3 takes the full force of the strengthened tackled and flies a few feet away from Ace.
Pokemon 2 sees all of this happening and she knows how dangerous the bird challenger is to them, having their natural advantage taken away so easily. So Pokemon 2 tries to create some distance between her comrade the bird by catching it out of the air immediately when Cassie swooped down for an attack on Pokemon 1.
Pokemon 1 feels left out of the fight, being the slowest out of the six. She sees Ace and Joe teaming up on Pokemon 3 and tries to break up the fight. She gets in between the gap of Ace and Pokemon 3 and she collides heads with Ace.
"Keep up the good work guys, and remember there's no no such thing as a luck hit so take this seriously."
Pokemon 3 is taken back from the Tackle but manages to get up while masking the damage. He runs to the side of Ace and uses his speed to make sure this next attack hits Ace and Pokemon 2 doesn't become collateral. Pokemon 3 exhales a burst of cold air onto Ace for interrupting his fight with Joe

Joe lunges through the darkness and attempts to attack Pokemon 1, then swiftly comes with another strike. All on nothing.
Marietta looks on and frowns at Joe's lack of accuracy in the darkness. Without a sound, Marietta waves her left hand swiftly with Joe's Pokeball, recalling him before he makes another bad mistake. Then, with her occupied right hand, she tosses Voodoo's Pokeball far into the air. Out burst Voodoo as it floats on the ceiling.
Marietta uses Round Trip, recalls Joe and sends out Voodoo.

Cassie rolls with the bite, well used to those kinds of out-of-nowhere attacks and taking mush less damage than she would. She looks down at her assailant and shrugs internally - she was going for the other, but this works too.
With a squaw of greeting, she rams her beak into Pokemon 2, this time hitting her mark.

Even though he could barely see, Jace could feel that headbutt. Ace didn't budge though. Normally he was all springy and nimble, but when he got like this he wouldn't put up with anyone's shit. "Grit your teeth Ace!" If Jace's theory was correct, and that first Pokemon was Sneasel, then he would have to get rid of it right away. That ice type would be no good for his newest compatriot. "Ace, push 'em out of the way! Don't let that first one escape." Ace complied, lowering his head in the wake of the mysterious Pokemon's fat head. He then abruptly lifted up, striking the Pokemon from below, tossing him aside with surprising strength.
Ace then charged ahead, the way clear for him. He delivers another punishing blow to what Jace supposed was Sneasel.
Bit of a complicated turn... Ace tackles Pokemon 1, pushing him 2 squares away from himself at an angle. This allows him to shift up to Pokemon 3.
Then, Jace uses "Strike Again!" to give Ace another Tackle against Pokemon 3. Both tackles land, making this quite the combo.

Pokemon 2 didn't know that Cassie would react the calm way she did. She immediately regrets her decision and backs up to create space for the next attack.
Pokemon 1 takes the Tackle from Ace head on. The impact forcefully makes her jump a few feet away from Ace. She sees Ace going for Pokemon 3 again and tries to move up again to stop her, but Ace was too fast for her reaction. Pokemon 3 takes another devastating tackle from Ace. His knees start shaking and he stabs his claw to the ground to stop from falling. The shadow starts slowly walking towards Tully, but falls on his stomach after two steps.
"Oh Otto, we underestimated the Eevee. It seems he is adjusted to seeing in the darkness. Your fight is over, but I'm nowhere near finished! You won't be alone my friend!"
Pokemon 2 doesn't feel like fighting Cassie anymore and decides to set her sights on Ace. Pokemon 2 exhales flames that illuminate the room toward Ace. The fire tears through the silhouettes inside the room and shows everyone's current location and Pokemon 1 is Scraggy, Pokemon 2 is Houndour.
Ika ends the round giving Scraggy a Super Potion

"Alright struggling gym leader, let the party begin! Try catching up with me!" Marietta gets motivated by the fire, flying challenge at the gym leader, then shouts with the intention to draw attention to her performance. The excited acrobat points to the lightened darkness, aiming at Houndour. "Voodoo, get that fire dog!"
Marietta spins swiftly like a swan, halfway through the spin, she recalls Voodoo into his Pokeball after its less than motivated attack. Catching Voodoo's pokeball, and just 350 degree of her spin, Marietta flies Joe's Pokeball into the far end. Joe materializes from the red beam, and gets confused at his swift teleportation from his Pokeball.
Marietta uses Round Trip, recalls Voodoo then sends out Joe as far as possible.

Houndour was sure that she could beat the Shedinja. Just one hit would do the trick, so close to a victory then Scraggy can take care of the rest. But Voodoo hit harder than she anticipated. Houndour lets out an ear-piercing howl into the night until her legs could not support her struggle.
"I wasn't expecting a Shedinja from you guys. What a ballsy play that was! I'll make sure the other gym leaders hear of your performance! But not just yet! Elise still stands, stronger than before!" she raises her hands in the air, not that anyone could see her... "I call forth my true power! I shall steal 100 nights from this world and use it to defeat you three! For 100 days, the world will be 'black'..."

Tully looks at Ika... well, in her direction, nonplussed.
"Sure... you do that," he says, his mouth a straight line, "Cassie, you wanna...?"
Cassie cuts him off with a squawk, a bit annoyed since she'd planned on taking on the fighting-type from the start. Still, she narrows her eyes and rams her beak into the Scraggy, coming at him from behind catching him off-guard.
