Before you enter the forest, the quest provider will meet you outside of the forest to discuss the details with you. Keep an eye out for a lunarian wearing a Bolo Tie.
For: Henry, Bee, Falon, Nithia.
Current Quest: The Hidden Passage - There is a hidden passage in the Solemn Forest and I've just learned how to open it! I want a group of adventurers to open this passage, explore the location, and take notes on what you find.

Falon runs ahead excitedly, eager to begin their first proper quest. The message said to look out for a Lunarian with a bolo tie... he stops short as a thought occurs to him. What's a bolo tie? He thinks for a few moments.
Well... he'd seen bolos a few times at the Academy... machete-like knifes some of the fellas from the eastern isles... nice, somewhat curved, blade, widened at the tip... ideally suited for chopping and cleaving... originally made as a farming and harvesting implement, it was well suited for cutting down plant life... he'd tried them a few times, but found he really prefered standard long, short or great swords, as they tended to be a bit more well rounded, well suited for both slashing and thrusting... where was he? Oh yeah! Bolos, of course...
He wondered for a bit what a bolo tie would look like, eventually figuring it'd be a bolo tied around the neck, to keep it in easy reach. Nodding decisefully, he sets out to find someone with a knife tied around their neck.

Bee has a slightly better idea of what to look for than Falon, so while he runs off ahead she starts looking out for someone wearing, you know, a perfectly normal string tie. She's more than a little excited - secret passages are basically the best thing ever, and this should take her into the part of the forest she hasn't been in, yet! Her cartographer's senses are tingling!
"So what do you think is going to be through the passage?" she asks, in the general direction of the rest of the group. "We could be the first person in ages to even lay eyes on where it leads! This is so exciting!"
Her fingers tap restlessly over her two Pokéballs - Lance, and her new Phantump. She's decided to call him Idad, after the yew tree; its association with mystery and illusion sound appropriate to a Ghost-type from the shadows of the forest.

As the group comes upon the forest, it becomes obvious that the description was entirely unnecessary as there is only a single lunarian standing at the path outside of the forest just before the path splits to the two entrances. This lunarian is wearing traditional lunarian clothes, but has seemingly dyed it in various shades of blue. "Good Morning, I assume you're the nameless guild who has accepted my request? I am Lemuel." (As a reminder, the quest came in before you submitted your paperwork for your name, hence why the lunarian doesn't know). Also, traditional lunarian clothes:

Henry took a step forward, nodding to the rest of the group. Perhaps HE'D be best off speaking to their client. "Good day, Lemuel. My name is Henry. My companions are Falon, Nithia, and Bee. Our Guild Leader actually had us all decide a name this morning, and I believe Odyssey was chosen. It should be official some time today or tomorrow. But, on to more pressing matters, I believe you had a passageway you wished for us to investigate?"
He had selected a Murkrow to assist Sir Glubbington and him, figuring an eye in the sky would help both when exploring and when locked in combat. He hadn't quite named it yet, as he was still calming down from the attack yesterday. Soon enough he'd relax enough to decide on a name, and when he did, he was sure it'd be fitting.

"Interesting choice," he remarked seemingly uninterested. "Yes, I require a group of adventurers to explore a cavern. Quite frankly it is a fairly easy to spot cavern found in the southern area of the western forest. Many adventurers have explored the entrance, but two things bar their path. First, you need this device," he says displaying an icosahedron roughly the size of one's palm. "It's used to unlock a door in the cavern."
"The second obstacle is finding the door in the first place. It has taken me many months of reading ancient texts, but I've found a solution. I would personally go, but my frailty prevents such exploration. That aside, there is a false wall among the walls in the underground cavern. It's magical nature prevents us from going through it. However, in the text, there is mention of a pressure sensor at the base of an underground waterfall. So long as water continues to hit this pressure, the wall will bar passage. This is why none have entered this area before. Please, I ask that you investigate this cavern. I require a map of the inner cavern, a detailed list of pokemon found there, if any, and any artifacts that you find within."
"Of course, the more artifacts and the better map and list you bring.... the better reward you will receive."
With his long winded explanation done, he hands the icosahedron to Henry, "Please take good care of that. I will be in town at the artifact shop in the south-west of town. Please return as soon as possible."

Falon tilts his head as he listens to the Lunarian. "South eastern part of the western forest?" he mutters to himself, thinking. "Wasn't that... That's where the giant glowy laser guy was!" he shouts out. "It was blocking the cave entrance. How are we supposed to get past it?"

Henry nodded, pocketing the device and turning to Falon. "People have been inside, so there must be a way past. It might not always be there, or we could sneak past it. I'm sure we can cross that bridge when we get to it. For now, we should be off. I'm sure we'll find lots of interesting things inside!" A list of pokemon and artifacts? Should be simple enough... He'd leave the mapping to someone else, for now he was puzzling out how to keep a WATERFALL from hitting a pressure plate. Maybe that lever he found yesterday would help?

Bee nodded vigorously to show she'd understood the conditions of the mission. "Okay, map, bestiary, loot. We can definitely do that." Her voice is short and clipped, as if she's ticking off their instructions on a checklist in her head.
As they set off, Bee's jabbering again, half to herself. Her brain-to-mouth filter isn't always very strong. "I wonder if the waterfall's connected to the river on the northeast side... Helios'll probably be happy if it is and we manage to shut it off. He was gathering resources over there, wasn't he? Unless it backs up and floods someplace, he probably won't be as happy about that. You guys said something about a lever that shut off a river yesterday, right?" Clearly her mind is going to the same place as Henry's.

Having finished his thoughts Lemuel begins walking back to town, paying no mind to your mention of the creature near the entrance. With little else to do outside of the forest, your team begins their exploration by first entering the northwest forest. Falon runs ahead of the group, eager to get to their destination as soon as possible. He stops to allow the others to catch up as soon as he has reached the door though (assuming he wasn't waylaid by enemies before that happened).

Well, the client likely had other things to do, and Falon was running off again... "Everyone stay close! We're going to head straight to the cave! Don't separate!" Expedience was likely the best course of action, though he wished Falon would at least wait for the group to prepare before he stuck his neck out... With the head start, Henry wasn't quite able to run next to Falon to admonish him, but was able to keep fairly close behind him, ready to draw his bow at a moment's notice should they be engaged.

Bee's checking over the map that got made before as she follows the Falon and Henry into the woods; after all, she hasn't been in this section of the forest before. "This is a pretty good map, Henry," she remarks, apparently not out of breath at all. "Let's head for that cavern!"
She glances back to make sure Nithia's keeping up, not wanting her new - if somewhat offbeat - friend to get left behind. She hasn't seen Nithia in action yet and isn't sure how much stamina she has... She looks kind of slender to Bee, but then so do a lot of Lunari.

Nithia stumbles along to keep up with Falon's brisk pace. She really wasn't built for all of this running... Still, she supposed she should have expected this from adventuring... but why did they have to go so fast... She also wasn't particularly thrilled at the idea of the destructive FOE again, but she supposed that if that was the job, it was the job... As Bee looks back at her, she grins, stumbling a bit from not looking at her feet, but very quickly righting herself again.

As the group enters the forest, you come to the all too familiar feel of Solemn Forest. A cursory glance reveals that the search point is active again, though you recall that rummaging through those areas takes a while and would leave you with much less time to explore the cavern... but the option is there.

Falon waits patiently (okay, he hops up and down in anticipation) at the first door, willing the others to come and hurry up already so they could go and explore. As he's hopping up and down, he swings his sword in practice to pass the time.

Henry jogs up to the cavern, taking a moment to compose himself. "I know we should probably check out the Search Points, but our job comes first. There will be time for gathering once our exploration is finished, and I'd rather go home with a completed mission than a few items and an annoyed client, especially since we're a new guild. Gathering resources and bolstering our supplies is important, but more important is our reputation, and tarnishing it this quickly out of the gate is impermissible. And thank you Bee. I'm glad you like it." After the serious talk, the archer cracks a grin, pulling his bow from his back and notching an arrow.
"So who wants to lead?"

Falon (unsurprisingly) jumps up. "I will! Let's go!" WIth that, he rushes ahead, only just in time deciding to slow down just a little, and he (somewhat) carefully walks into the room where the cavern was located. If the monster isn't there this time, he'll simply call to the others and enter the cave. If he is, well... oops?

As falon peeks into the southern room, he only hears an eerie calmness. The destruction of the previous day's battle still shows. Multiple trees remain singed and others remain as only a stump. The cavern entrance is unobstructed and, in a strange way, appears to be calling you to explore it.

Bee makes a few notes on a different scrap of paper as they advance towards the cave, trying to remember enough of this floor's layout to add it to her journal once they get back to the guild. She lets out a low whistle as she looks around at the damage to the southern room - she can only assume the FOE is responsible for all of that. "Wow. Looks like you guys' friend was interesting. In the ancient sense." As in "may you live in interesting times". She's eager to explore the cavern as it is, but she takes a few steps forward to squint at the cave mouth cautiously, trying to see if she can make out anything dangerous waiting for them. 1 AP: Bee makes a Record of Solemn Forest (NW) 1F Perception to check for an ambush in the cave: 17
