The Judges seemed to be amused by the act as the trainers shifted around, Barboach in the Center using Aqua Tail as his tail glowed as it chased it in a circle trying to catch it.
Than it was Zuzu's turn

Sarah pointed at zuzu, and fake said, " I see that look on your face, don't spray me with watergun." With that Zuzu complied blasting her in the face with water playfully chuckling as Sarah got fake mad. That brings me to 15 Appeal points, 2 fumbles. |

Zuzu was followed by Casey who pawed at the stage pretending to kick up dirt with Sand Attack trying to rile the crowd up, than Skitty went flouncing around the stage, cutely causing Barboach and Zuzu to look over at using Attract to try and rile up the crowd
Edit: In the next round Skitty was the Center as it looked like it was leaving the stage but turned around cutely sticking his tounge out using Fake out the move tiring it out a bit, Followed by Casey who swiped at Barboach stealing some decoration from the water pokemon adding it to her own, taking the water types attention.

Sara noticed as Casey was taking back attention, and she and Zuzu started growling at her, seemingy challenging it for dominance. Acting on it's own, the small pokemon growled and launched a mud ball at the leader. 31 and 10 Fumbles |

Before Mudkip could use it's mudbomb Barboach went last in the 3rd round using Water Sport kicking up some water hitting Skitty and Casey
In the final round Casey managed to dodge the Mudbomb easily.
Skitty went next using Growl herself, trying to get some points herself
Followed by Borboach who tried using Aqua Tail again to gain attention.
While Casey just smiled resting taking advatage of all the attention she had.

As Sarah Saw Casey take advantage of her cuteness in the contest, Sarah sighed. She knew it, she lost.
Despite that, she looked at them and waited for the results from the contest judges.

The Judges all talked to themselves as the lights went out and Casey heard a "Please move your pokemon here" from a stage hand who directed Mudkip to on of the podiums. The sound of the drumroll could be heard as the spot lights came on
Casey on the 1 Podium
Mudkip on the 2 Podium
Skitty on the 3 Podium
and Barboach on the 4 Podium
"And there you have it folks, The winner is Rose, but let's give a hand to all the particpants for a great show tonight!" he said the audience applauding "You all have a nice night" he said as the podiums started to descend the Audience starting to leave the stadium

Sarah went out of her way after the show to go talk to Rose, "To bad, I was hoping that it'd work out well enough."
"Casey did really well in the contest." sarah said.

"Thanks, she loves to perform" Rose said smiling holding out her arms as Casey jumped into them, "But Zuzu was no slouch himself either. I see the score cards you were only about 3 points off beating me" she said looking at Sarah and Zuzu "So how did you like it? A contest?" she asked curiously.

Sarah smiled, "Fun, but I don't think I could keep preforming like that often, and you saw zuzu lose his cool at the end of the competition trying to splatter the skitty with mud."
"Plus it was hard coming up with an idea to make the use of myself and zuzu's attributes." She scratched her head, "just not my style you know?"

"That's fine, I know know contests aren't for everyone, just like I know battles aren't for everyone. I was just lucky to fall into that happy median" she said giggling.
"Still if you ever want to try it again, there's always a slot open for you to challenge a contest" she said smiling, as Zuzu seemed to be a still a bit hyped up from the challenge, hopping around the two of them as he started to glow shifting, and when the glow dissapated there was a new pokemon standing there standing on 2 legs instead of four "Marsh...stomp?" Zuzu said confused

Sarah sighed looking at Zuzu, but smiled, "I don't think I could pull it off, with the way Zuzu is now, it'll be hard to pull of cute for him.
She rubbed his head, "but he's plenty stronger now I think."

Rose giggled "That may be true, but I think all pokemon can pull out cute if they try. Though it seems like he is more suited to battle" she said as Zuzu let out a few happy cries enjoying the pets.

"Now you should probably start heading to a Pokemon center or a hotel, it's pretty late" she said checking her P*DA for the time

As they walked out Sarah thought about things to mention before asking, "By the way, I've been wondering is there a particular reason why The Gyms are structured by typing?"

Rose thought about it "I think it's for the benefit of the challenger. So they know what they are going up against. Gym's stick to one element to help challengers form a better strategy. I mean that's the point of gyms, to test your strategic ability to see if you'll be able to face stronger trainers like the Elite 4 or the Champion." she explained
"While trainer battle are more about your adaptability, that's why many regions mix gyms with a tournament before challengers can take on the Elite 4 or Champion. To get an accurate picture of your skills as a trainer" she said.

"I guess..... That doesn't seem right though in my head." She said walking along for a bit longer, "Isn't it better to make it something more ...."
Sara waited a moment struggling to find the right word, "I always thought that gyms should be structured more like the Orange Islands or the Battle frontier. Where the gyms are focused on an Aspect of strategy. That way leaving from there you learn a different idea that can be applied universally?"
She waited a moment before adding, "but I guess that might be a bit vague and hard for people to understand before getting used to working with pokemon.
