Seeing as its her last Pokemon, Gym Tamer Rena commands her Electrode to blow up and try to end the match in a draw. Not ideal, but it'll be enough. Electrode complies, rolling in between the two mons and creating a large explosion. When Lia arrives a few days later to re-challenge the Gym, probably with the intent of stomping Rena into the dirt, she instead is greeted by a completely different girl from before. Gym Trainer Ainsley. Ainsley will be her opponent today, and cheerfully chats Lia up about anything and everything. From "girl stuff", to boys, to how much she dislikes Rena's style of battle. Eventually she brings Lia to an empty arena and gives her the run down. Standard Vermillion match: 4v4 double battle (2 mons per side out at a time).
She opens up with Plusle and Minun!

Both cheerleader pokemon set up decoy dolls and give each other sparkling high-fives. (Plus and Minus ability. Each grants the other +2 SATK CS.)

Lia indeed 'had' come full of piss and vinegar, hoping to ruin the day of Rena after their tie from before. Instead she gets a girl who's completely dis-charming. Lia gets a little deflated, and merely gives small answers to Ainsley's questions. She grumbles a bit about Rena when 'that' trainer is mentioned and casually throws out Skala and her newly caught (And evolved!) Pyroar, named Ryk.

The Cheering Pokemon look absolutely mortified that their decoys were busted so quickly. Seems their usual plan is to hide behind those and boost for awhile, but that's gotta change quick now! They look at each other, then nod. Plusle and Minun each eat a berry before creating sparkling batons that they twirl around before retreating into their poke balls. In their place is a Pachirisu and a Pikachu!
Plusle and Minun use Salac Berries to gain +1 Speed CS! Plusle and Minun use Baton Pass!
Pachirisu gains Plusle's CS (+3 SATK +2 SPD)
Pikachu gains Minun's CS (+3 SATK +2 SPD)

Before Lia can really start running after her to apologize, she's gone. Lia sighs, even more deflated then before, and recalls her pokes. I guess it's Gym Leader time? Lia's not even feeling it but she's gotta try or she just beat up on a girl's pokemon for no reason. She shakes her head and goes to find the leader.

Lia gets her shot at the Gym Leader now. Chengse takes her to the lightning-scarred arena and announces the rules. 6v6 Double Battle (2 mons out at once) with full-contact. She grins as she releases her two massive Pokemon, Eelektross and Electivire.
