It looks like is more family theme. But still can be family of reasechers. Just change your branches. We don't need two Apothecary and Pokemon Caretakincaretakers.

Neat, I'll probably change caretaker or just out of researcher entirely

If it's a family of Researcher's only, I'll actually pull out... Especially if you don't want any overlap between the branches of the sciences... Best of luck to the rest of you, in that case.

Chimerat, my character is a martial artist, so not all are researchers. You are actually free to make your character as what you like as long as it's from the Core book, or so I think.

My gut-reaction to that is "You have more than enough Apps, buy!" but that's because I absolutely hate the competitive nature of getting into games here... (Don't get me wrong, people are friendly, but there's no point trying to interwind backstories if only a fraction of the people are going to play.) I'll be removing the Martial Artist second class from that character and bumping her age down, since I understand most people were leaning towards the "oldest" slot. So she'll be a pure Type Ace, if that can even be managed with the Skill-requirement restrictions on things. I'll post a link to my sheet when I get home from work tonight as I don't have time to make the changes right now.

There can always be different settings for Martial Artist. Mine is a Guts dedicated, yours could go with another type of martial artist, and they could simply train together and work the farm together

I do suspect we might have some friendly battles against each other from time to time, but that's up to the GM. (And, yes, Ken's BackGround still needs reworking. I might not have time for that until the weekend, but I got my sheet reworked faster than expected, so maybe sooner.) EDIT: Oh, that reminds me. In D&D 3.5, I believe, you would do "subdual" damage instead of mortal injuries. Can you do something similar in friendly Pokémon battles? After all, this is a nicer setting so I'd suspect we aren't killing the Wilds.

Well I started with another option, I think t was Limber, but changed it to make her a more defensive "older" family member protecting the rest.
She could see your character as a very close friend as well, since they are the least intellectual, and she could feel awkward and sometimes misunderstood.
