Melanie taps her fingers on her staff as Virgil inspects the wall, glancing up and down the hall warily. She's standing a step or two back, in the hopes that if it's booby-trapped it won't catch all of them. "Careful. We don't know how many tricks the Dungeon still has."

Virgil hesitates but continues his rather close up search, "R-right..but there wouldn't be another trap this close to the other one right?" He tries to ignore the little voice telling him that the last dungeon had had traps all over. He could practically smell the treasure.

As it turns out, the pollen 'wall' is not quite as solid as the other walls have been, and nor does it turn out to be trapped. It is, however, extremely elastic, and pushing through it is not easy, not helped by the fact that stopping to catch your breath risks having you catapulted back out into the corridor. Nonetheless, you all eventually make it through.
The other side is almost immediately different. The general atmosphere is less...oppressive, for want of a better word, and the air is not so thick with pollen. It's a fairly sizeable open plain, at the centre of which sits a treasure chest. Why a treasure chest is here is anyone's guess.
You aren't the only ones enjoying the peace, though. A small group of young ferals are...playing? That's certainly what it looks like, anyway, as a Flabebe chases a Nidoran around while an Ekans basks on top of the treasure chest.

Lewis was flabbergasted to see ferals acting so peaceably. This couldn't be real. The eevee pulled out his inkpots and his canvas, he had to record this. After the few hundred tailswipes, he put away the painting, and looked to his friends.
"This...This is all wrong. That treasure isn't ours guys. Let's just walk away

Kyria watches as the dungeon wall dissipates(or something) showing the treasure and its residents. She looks over and sees Lewis's reaction then looks over to Virgil and nods, "I would hate to disturb such peace, they aren't hostile either as far as we know. Treasure is nice and all but at this price?" Kyria's gaze goes to the ferals to see their reaction should the party be spotted, oddly enough Kyria seems quite relaxed and calm rather than her hyper and impatient self.

Melanie bites her lip. Something about this seems strange. From what little she understands about ferals, she didn't think they had enough self-awareness to play around like that. "Do you think we could talk to them? If they're not hostile, maybe..."
She trails off slowly. To be honest, she's not really sure what she hopes to actually accomplish.

After struggling through the 'wall', Virgil's eyes go wide as he sees the treasure. It was oddly cliche but who could argue with such a clear sign. But then he notices the frolicking ferals. Why did they seem so carefree? Fennikin hadn't mentioned odd ferals in the secret rooms. Maybe it had something to do with the ferals' sudden resurgence.
Virgil sighs as it seems he'll be outvoted, he wants the treasure but not at the expense of his friends, "Okay...I guess disturbing them would be rude. Even if they might not miss the treasure..." He vaguely wonders if Kyria was like this whenever she was feral.

Kyria looks over at Melanie and sighs, she got somewhat of an idea. "I can... I've spent a bit of time before studying ferals, I understand their language. I cant guarantee they wont turn aggressive if we get their attention though, be sure you're ready if you want me to." Despite having thrown away her species tradition of lying she is still not very bad at it, although Virgil knows the truth, she merely hopes the others don't question her too much about it.

Mawile studying? Was that even possible? Wait a second, are there even books on how to translate feral language? Where would she find that? Was this all firsthand? That just doesn't add up.
Lewis tried his damnedest to suppress a chuckle, but his face quickly turned pensive afterwards
"I guess I'm ready whenever you guys are. If things do end up coming to blows, at least we know we have the advantage..Not like that! I meant type advantage!...Against children...OKAY, so how about we just run if they turn hostile"

Virgil is all for grabbing the loot. Even if there was a chance that Kyria couldn't talk to the ferals at all. Or worse got attacked. "Uhhh...right! You can talk to them no problem. Because of studying." Virgil says, not sure quite what to say about the half-truth and being slightly distracted by thoughts of treasure.
He winces at Eevee's bumbling attempt to say, "We'll watch your back." He quickly adds, "Err but maybe running if they don't listen would be a good move. We would've disturbed them after all." Kyria probably wouldn't want to fight such innocent looking ferals right?

Melanie sighs and rubs her forehead. "Yes, if they don't listen, we're leaving. I'm not going to fight kids, and you're already hurt, anyway." Even though none of them would be all that threatening to Mawile even if they weren't children, there was no sense taking chances.
She's a little surprised by Mawile's claim to have studied feral language - she didn't even know there was one - but there was presumably precedent. After all, Mawile must have learned her swordsmanship from somewhere. She watches the ferals warily, hanging back for the moment; Melanie's aware that her appearance can be a little intimidating.

Kyria takes a deep breath and stumbles forward, she waves her hand to try to get their attention as she approaches. If she succeeds in getting their attention she'd make a few grunts and motions which amounts to "Can we play with you?" She gives the friendliest look she can muster despite her obvious injuries. They're young so she shouldn't have too much to worry about if things go south.

Kyria definitely succeeds in getting the attention of the young ferals - including a Gastly who appears out of thin air, having seemingly been sneaking up on the Ekans. They don't respond quite as positively as she might have hoped, however. The four of them form a close bunch, backing away from the four of you, though the Ekans rattles its tail slightly as it backs off. Well at least they didn't attack. Even better the treasure wasn't underneath a potentially dangerous Ekans. Though whether they would stay out of the way if Virgil went to loot the chest was another question. "I guess that works...at least we can get the treasure now right?" He gives Kyria a reassuring smile. Ok part of it is from the thought of treasure but still.

Kyria flinches as they respond aggressively, looking over at the party. "I might be a bit rusty." She looks back to the ferals and repeats the process but instead this time she pushes her weapon back towards the rest of the party as an act of non-aggression. "We do not wish to fight, my friend is interested in the box and it looked like you were having fun. Peaceful times should be cherished." She stays quite still and calm, knowing body language is key with ferals she tries and stay as passive as she can.

Virgil looks a tad abashed, "Well I, uh, didn't think they would use whatever it is. And, uh, we don't know a whole lot about Dungeons still. I mean you don't think they set up all the traps do you? Maybe...maybe it's the Dungeon doing it." Virgil doesn't really know if he believes it himself but there were definitely so odd goings on. Who leaves a treasure surrounded by babies anyway?

Now that she thinks about it, it's actually rather obvious. Cautiously, she comes a little closer to the ferals, up on a level with Mawile, and looks right at the Gastly. Following Mawile's example, she lays her staff on the ground. "Of course we don't want to hurt you. Can you understand me?" There's a very faint glow in her eyes as she addresses the Gastly. As Kyria and Melanie address the young Pokemon, the four ferals slowly seem to calm down. They're still kinda clustered in a group, but they don't seem quite so frightened as they were before.
