Is mentor banned like it is in the PMD rules draft? First time using this book... I'm going to assume so for the time being.

Experience training can be used on yourself. Oh, just a note, the PMD creator just wanted me to inform you that in the standard PMD rules, Experience Training isn't a thing.

Alright guys I am noticing quite a few characters have no background. I would appreciate it if you all would make a background and explain why you want to form a guild for Ami.

At this point, I've pretty much abandoned my initial character, having found more inspiration in Fennel. Just a heads up to ignore the lack of background for that treecko I made. Also, is the village Ai or Ami? Your two posts both have different names.

It is Ai. I was on my phone when I posted that and accidentally hit the m button as well.
Just a reminder that this game stops accepting new applications at 9 pm CST Monday.

Hey there Sandsoftime. How would you feel about letting a Natu into your game? I already have a sheet for her, and plenty of personality. Let me know if this is alright, otherwise I will assume you are speciesist. :p I kid. If you say yes, I'll work further on fine-tuning the sheet to your ruleset.

Wait, so now that I look again, Sage was banned but then un-banned. What about Oracle? Is that banned? You said ok to my Natu and she's an Oracle, so I'm a little confused.
Does that mean you're ok with a Natu Oracle or did you just not notice her class, and Oracle is still banned?

AA, if you don't mind, I may have to steal that neat character sheet template of yours!

I was meaning Natu as a pokemon not the whole character sheet. I do not really like having oracle in use in a game but I can see the uses of it for a game like this. Sure go ahead and use oracle.

I'll try my best to have the background done tonight, I've gotten quite busy lately and background is generally the last thing I do, but it will get done if I have computer access today.

twilightkiwi : Pandora made it! The base sheet is right here!sandsoftime : Thank you for making an exception, though if you are predisposed to dislike Oracles, I have my doubts that you'd A) pick my character out of all the applicants or B) enjoy having me as one of your players, So now I'm wondering if I should sit this one out anyway. Thoughts? Quetzalli's character is based very heavily around being a clairvoyant, so. Edit: The Oracle class simply does not work at all if I do not have a cooperative GM willing to feed me information for visions, clairvoyance, etc. So, if you "do not really like having an oracle in use in game," I am not sure if it would work out. I know you said you would allow it, but it's hard to judge how actually receptive you are to it in that post.

My character was originally going to be an oracle, but more as a foretell the future through the stars kind of deal. Wanted to do it with a Vivillon but i dont think I'd be allowed to start as that.

That sounds like a compelling character concept, Revimpx! Too bad it wouldn't work when the sun is out. :)

So I'm trying to finalize my character, but I'm a bit stuck on a crucial detail - species. The concept I have in mind is a mix of Commander/Cheerleader/Provocateur, with either Dark Ace or Trickster later on. A cunning and ambitious young Pokemon who has dreams of one day leading his own Guild, but he knows he has to start small and build up a cadre of loyal minions friends first. I can't decide whether I want him to be a Pancham or a Murkrow, though! Both work great flavorwise for the concept, particularly once they evolve. Mechanically speaking, on the one hand Super Luck is a cool combo with Push Buttons, and Murkrow evolves significantly sooner. But Pancham's Mold Breaker is nice to help against all those Abilities that provide immunity to various status effects, plus I kind of like Pangoro's design a little better than Honchkrow even if I wouldn't see it for quite a while longer. Pangoro also lends itself better to a bulkier build, which I'd prefer... but Honchkrow's later Abilities (Rally and Confidence) fit better flavor wise than Pangoro's...
Assuming either species is acceptable to our GM, of course... anyone have any input on the subject before I wrap this dude up? Has anyone ever played with one or both of these species in their party before?

I think Murkrow is the better option, if you'd like my input.

Oh wow, I see I wasn't the only one who wanted to play a Dark-type character. Good thing I made two applications. Well, since I want to get in with a Dark-type I kinda want to say go with Pancham because if both our characters made it into the game you would be guaranteed an evolution. Beyond that though, I personally prefer Murkrow for its greater sweeping ability. This is my primary application, but it's a little... out of left field. Presenting, Revenir, the Dark Knight. And here is my secondary application, a little more normal. Presenting, Kojuro, the Pseudo Ninja. One question relating to this application; how much would simple weapons cost? I've gone with 2000 for now, but I imagine it could be higher. The biggest difference between the two characters is what Pokemon they are (Zorua and Froakie). They're both still based around the Rogue class and have similar Attack focused builds and similar personalities.
