You have arrived at the Tudor Island. You and about thirty other people are being ushered off of the S.S. Maria and onto the docks. In front of you lies a medium size city with a large arena standing in the middle of the city. It is a little after dark and you can see the city lit up with paper lanterns strung up between buildings. You can hear the sounds of many people moving through the town and talking to each other as they go from place to place. The tournament brought plenty of business and entertainment to the island and it's people. At the end of the piers you can see Marylynn, the older lady from the video. She smile and asks each of you to stand in a row in front of her.
"Hello and welcome to Tudor Island. each of you will have your own room while the tournament is occurring. Here is a map of the city and the next page is a map of the island. The housing area is mark on the map. i recommend exploring the city for a little bit but tomorrow at 12 pm there will be a Welcoming Party. Any questions," Marylynn asks looking at each of you,

A young man, wearing a thick pair of sunglasses stood in the second row. On his shoulder was his companion during the trip, Echo. Once he was given a map, he tried to look at it... and only saw the shape of the map. Taking a brief moment, he began to look around him. The people around him were different. He tell how long their hair was, how tall they weere or if they were a man or a woman. He could hear the waves beside him, the call of Wingulls as they flew above the air. Sadly, he couldn't see the colours of the world, a far cry from when he was with his Growlithe. But this was how Echo saw the world, and it was thanks to him that he was able to see it this way too.
Of course, not being able to make out words was a bit of a downside, so he decided to lie a little.
"Sorry Madam, my map has a bit of a printing issue, it doesn't show the address for the housing. Could you please tell me?" He asked, trying to be as polite as possible, giving her a smile.

"Oh, forgive me dear. Just follow Michael to your rooms," she says motioning forward a Mightyena from behind here.

Umbra stretched, then picked up his guitar case, the rest of his stuff was already in the bags in his other hand, or the backpack on his back. He was taller then most of the rest of the crowd, and his odd hair, which was natural and not dyed as many thought, made him standout with ease. After looking at his map, Umbra yawns, and steps out of the crowd, stepping past the woman, and the Mightyena (sweet pokemon) so that he could go put most of his stuff away. Maybe take a nap, or maybe explore the city, he wasn't entirely sure yet, only that he wanted to drop off his stuff for now (and pack it properly for moving around the island, though that could wait till tomorrow).

Raven stretched her arms, feeling a tad stiff from the boat ride over. Her Pikachu is perched on her shoulder, gently scratching behind one of its ears. Raven listens intently to Marylynn's introduction, then prepares to follow the Mightyena to the hotel.

Chris lingers near the back as everyone disembarks, but stays behind as a handful seem to congregate behind the Mightyena like freshly hatched Duckletts. His map had no such printing error - the housing area was clearly marked. He was also travelling lightly enough to not be encumbered by his possessions. Instead, he studies the map to deduce the location of the nearest pokemon center - in his opinion the most vital location, and without any other particular plans in mind, heads towards it.

Leo was feeling quite at home on Tudor Island. The masses of people moving around the place reminded him of Rustboro. It wasn’t quite as packed with people as Mauville City was, and that’s just how Leo likes it. He prefers not to be reminded of his life in that particular city. The amount of people here was just enough to give Leo a feeling of anonymity. He knew he could disappear into the crowd at any moment if he really needed to.
But he didn’t need to, and hopefully he wouldn’t be given a reason on this island to hide from people. From Pokémon maybe, if he was looking for a fight or capture, but not from people.
Leo shook the thoughts out of his mind as the older lady from that video began talking. What was her name again?... It would come to him eventually. She finished talking quickly and the instructions of ‘Follow the Mightyena’ were simple enough. Also, it was a little embarrassing, but Leo was terrible at reading maps. Once he’d left his pack at his room, Leo planned on doing as the lady had said and go exploring the city. He might get lost, but he would find enough landmarks to orientate himself for the rest of his stay. He might as well get to know the concrete jungle before he would eventually enter the natural one for the ‘missions’ that the advertisement had talked about.
Looking around the group he spotted a girl with a Pikachu on her shoulder and also blinked when he spied a guy who looked to be around his own age with blindingly white hair with a black streak. That was some dye job, Leo thought. He decided to follow the girl’s example and give Nero a little bit of exercise, so he grabbed his Pokéball from his belt and released the piglet onto the ground.
“Hey buddy,” Leo said. “We’re going to our new rooms and I thought you should get a little exercise.” The Tepig nods and affectionately butts Leo’s leg with his head, prompting Leo to bend down and stroke Nero’s back. Nero squealed a little in enjoyment, until Leo stood up again and took his hand away.
The Pokémon and Trainer pair then make to follow the Mightyena.

Tully nonchalantly joins the group following the Mightyena, doing his best not to draw attention to himself. Ideally, he'd have preferred to follow something or someone without quite so many teeth, but beggars can't be choosers. Besides, pokemon owned by people running the place weren't any danger... probably.
He adjusts his hat nervously.
He spends the journey keeping his head down and studying the map he got, trying to commit as much of it to memory as possible. After he's settled in, he's probably going to follow the advice to explore the place, if only to establish a few bolt holes. Besides, Xander seems pretty eager about the place.
He gives a small smile and looks down at the little Sandile, who's looking around and snapping excitedly, seeming to catalogue all the places he wants to go and things he wants to see. Tully hasn't known the little guy long, but reckons he has a decent understanding of him, and he's probably a good friend to have.
Speaking of... He looks up at the people gathered on the island. It's probably best that he make some friends soon, safety in numbers and all that, but for the moment, he decides to keep quiet and watch how things go.

When Marylynn mentioned the Mightyena, he looked up at the same time Echo did. He saw the shape of a pokemon behind the woman, from what he could tell it did look like a Mightyena. However, it would be a good idea to stick close to the Mightyena, that way when he was with Echo he didn't need to lie when he needed to get home. With a small breath, he began to focus his thoughts on making a connection between him and the Mightyena. "I wish to stick close by you, to see the world as you see it, to see the area around our homes. I ask you this, for I cannot see with my own eyes." As he tried to make a connection, he walked closely to the Mightyena, folding up his map in the process.

Michael stares up at the group and gives a quick bark in response to Nathan's communication. Michael gently rubs against Nathan's side before leading the way only staying three or four steps ahead of Nathan. Michael carefully weaves through traffic making sure to not lose track of the group. He takes them by a couple of the shops the vendors yelling out their offers.
Soon the group approaches a large building with sliding front door. A desk sits in the entrance hall and a young woman with long black hair and a navy blue clerk outfit. The room has multiple sets of couches with . "Hello and welcome to Tudor Hotel. The ladies rooms are to the right," she says pointing to the door, then she points to the left door, "the guys are of course on the other side."
Michael discreetly pulls at Nathan's pant leg and leads him towards his room.

Chris watches the group depart and shakes his head. How conspicuous. They weren't going to really, truly learn the city by bustling about like schoolkids. . . then again, some of them were children. In fact, most of them were. All the reason to distance myself from them, he considers. The Dojo on the map catches his eye - he was hoping to find some work and get some experience in the community in between tournament rounds, and he was going to need a backup plan if he got knocked out early. Adjusting the straps on his bag and tapping the lone pokeball on his bandolier, he sets off to find the dojo.

"Right, first we'll check out the Cafe, then we'll head on down to the park."
Umbra muttered to Peridot's pokeball as he exited his room, putting all his stuff away. Scooching past the big group to have just arrived, map in hand, and guitar on his back, he quietly hummed to himself as he worked his way to the Cafe marked on the map.

The dojo is a two story stone building with glass doors that lead into a mat filled area. Inside a small group of students are practicing mixed martial arts. Off in the corner near the entrance is a board with paper clippings on it. Over it is a large sign saying quest board.
The cafe is a beautiful building with lots of flowers around it and a couple of tables out front of it for customers wishing to enjoy the weather. The tables outside are full and a couple of waiters are floating between. The inside is almost as busy as the out side and full of people talking loudly.
(Give me a little bit to get the quest board up and running)

When the Mightyena, who was called Micheal brushed against Nathan, it was time to move. He closed his eyes for a moment as he switched his primary connection from Echo to Micheal. He didn't fully understand how 'connecting' worked, at least when he wanted to share senses. It seemed that while he could connected with multiple pokemon, he could only make one of those connections a 'primary' connection at a time. He had only Echo and Growlithe as his 'test subjects', but he was happy that he could connect with unfamiliar pokemon.
Nathan reeled back slightly as the world appeared in colour, he could see the paper lanterns around the buildings, the appearance of the crowd, the words on the signs. It was a little much to take in at first, but he quickly adapted to his surroundings. "Thank goodness I got practice with you and Growlithe before I left." He thought, before reaching back to stroke the back of Echo head. His only response was a happy chirp as he pressed himself against Nathan's finger. He seemed to be moving a bit slower as he did that, but soon picked up the pace. He listened briefly as he listened to what the shops were offing, one of which was offering fishing gear. He spoke of his intention to Echo, as he quietly broke a piece of his Sweet Candy and stuck it underneath the counter of the stall. Echo loved Sweet Candy, so finding the stall would be a simple matter of Tracking with Echo.
He remained quiet just as the group was led to the hotel room, with a young woman directing the group to where their rooms where, but Micheal wanted to lead him to his room. He was fine with it, since he needed to learn where his room was in the first place. Once he learned that his room was near the end of the corridor, he crouched down and began to pet Micheal.
"Thank you for the tour, you were most helpful" He said, expressing his gratitude by reaching into his small bag and laid out a cloth. He soon placed six sets of two items.
"Salty Pretzels, Spicy Pepper Wraps, Sour Gummies, Dry Herbs, Bitter Mushrooms and Sweet Candy, help yourself to anything you like." He said, as he felt Echo's desire to consume the Sweet Candy.

As the group reached their destination, Leo and Nero broke off, walking through the left door in order to get to Leo's room. They found it fairly quickly and settled in just as fast. Leo hadn't brought too much with him, but he deposited his changes of clothes in a drawer and dropped off other miscellaneous things that he wouldn't need. He took a moment to survey the room. It was quite nice, considering that they'd been given it for free. Once he was done, he grabbed the map. Damn maps... why do you have to be so hard to read. he thought, before sighing. He stood there for a couple minutes, working out just where things were in relation to the hotel. Eventually he gave up and decided he would just walk until he found one of the locations on the map. "Alright, let's head for the Dojo. Sounds like we could get ourselves a fight there." He petted Nero, scratching softly behind the piglet's ears, which procured a happy squeal from the Pokémon.
Leo shouldered his now much lighter pack and headed out. He had almost memorised the route to take, so hopefully he wouldn't get lost too badly before he found the place. He walked out with steady, sure steps, as if he knew exactly where he was going.

Chris watches the people inside spar, perhaps a little jealous. If he was going to become a mercenary or some sort of bodyguard, learning the basics of combat would sometime be essential. It didn't interest him personally, and he'd prefer watching his totodile kick ass over getting punched in the face, but it wouldn't hurt to pick something up. . . some other day, anyway. His attention shifted back to the Quest Board. . . .
((Take your time.))

Once Raven and Natalie are settled into their room, they take a look at the map, trying to decide the best place to visit first. The dojo seemed like it might end up being too popular right away, with the café coming in second. Perhaps there are some nearby wilderness areas they can scope out for the morning.

Tully leaves the group and heads to his room. He'd been a bit taken aback by the Mightyena's sudden attachment to someone - probably best to keep an eye on that one - but for the most part had been focused on learning his surroundings as he walked. Now, however, he and Xander go to their room to rest for a while and unpack his belongings.
It doesn't take long. When you're on the run, you don't tend to be much of a pack rat.
After he's finished, he sits down on the bed to see Xander looking at the map on the floor. He sighs.
"Alright, let's have a wander." He says, getting up. Xander snaps excitedly and leads the way.
The two set off, Tully again focusing on getting the lay of the land and memorizing where he is, rather than where he's going. Thus, he's rather surprised when he ends up in front of the dojo. Not the first place he'd have wanted to go. Or the second, third or twenty-seventh, come to that. He looks down at the Sandile, who had been in front throughout the entire walk. He thinks for a moment, then chooses to believe he led them there by accident.
"This is not exactly what I had in mind." He whispers, before looking down to see that Xander was already walking through the front door. He goes to shout for him, then deflates, sighs and follows. "I suppose I might as well see who else has come to this place." He says as he goes inside, hoping no one will notice and pick a fight with him.

Tully can see the group training in mixed martial arts and to the left he is able to see Chris staring at the quest board. The board has a few slips of paper with pictures and writing on it.
Raven can see on the map two different areas that are labeled safer training zones. One is a plains area and the other is a lake area.
Michael looks at the offered snacks and shakes his head.

Chris notices a fellow trainer enter the dojo, but he seems to be preoccupied. Nor is Chris ready to make friends or clients. Sizing up the options, and the late hour, he makes a clicking noise. That package errand had a good reward, but it was a little late for an 8 hour hike.
On the other hand, it was prime time for a Lunatone to be active, and it wasn't far. Snatching up a pen, he leaves the initials CK on the lower left corner of the poster. He didn't expect to have sole rights to the search, but somebody should know he was on the case. Map in hand, pokeball secure on his bandolier, he follows the map to the lake. . . designated the 'safer training area'. How dangerous could it be?
Noting the deepening darkness of the fallen night, he checks the batteries in his flashlight as he heads along.
Before plunging into the training area proper, Chris will waste a little more time training Sandraudiga on the outskirts of town.
