Adventure Thread - Group A

Kaeda shares her contact info as well. "I'm ready for the gym as well. Might as well get on with it." KAeda makes sure she has the pokemon for the job, and heads to the gym alongside Lia.

Half expecting to be greeted by the same person as last time, Lia waltzes into the Saffron Gym. Nothing has really changed. The current attraction seems to be some beefcake of a man taking on a dark-haired woman in a fistfight and losing. Badly. This seems only to aggravate him further as she turns aside all his blows with practiced ease and grace. Suddenly, she sidesteps his telegraphed punch and grabs his arm, tossing him over her shoulder onto his back and out of the arena.

"Next time you try insulting our Dojo by calling yourself a martial artist, have the skill to back it up."

Lia watches as the beefcake limps past her out the door and the crowd disperses into separate training/sparring groups at dark-hair's instructions. Eventually someone notices your little crew lurking by the door and comes over to see what you want.

"Hello! Welcome to Saffron City Martial Arts Dojo. Are you here for lessons or the Gym Challenge?"

The transition to Saffron City was a mostly uneventful one, with Eve nearly losing the group she had just joined by trying to walk and work on her shards at the same time. If it hadn't been for Cera, who remained clinging to Alisa at the time, whining out for her trainer as she slowly walked down the wrong street, then Eve really might have lost the group and her Corroseon. After that little mishap, she saved all of her working-to-go for the bus ride. She didn't get a whole lot done, but it was something.

Upon landing in Saffron City, Eve accepted Kaeda's and Lia's phone numbers, quickly texting the two of them in return so that they would have her number as well. It seemed the three of them were going for the gym first, either to watch or challenge it. Eve... Actually, this time, Eve kind of didn't want to go that way. She would have rather set up a stall somewhere in the city and try to make some money to use on evolution attempts. Still, the uncertainty of being new to the group won out over Eve's personal insecurities about beating the gym with her current team. After speaking her assent, she followed the group into Saffron City gym.

Cera had been recalled when Eve boarded the bus. Ven, an Eevee, had been out after loading off the bus, but Eve recalled him as well right before entering the gym. "G-gym challenge please," Eve answers the greeter a little nervously from the back of the group. After seeing that impressively executed throw, she felt even less confident about being ready for this gym.

Floyd doesn't follow the guide and steps over to where he saw Ayame, waiting for her to be unoccupied before approaching.

"Hello."

He says.

Kaeda sighs, and takes a seat against a wall. She brings out her Gardevoir, Orpheus, and they lean against each other. Kaeda had to settle her thoughts as this was probably gonna be their first attempt at a mega evolution. Kaeda, and Orpheus, had been almost inseparable over the past couple of days as they trained mind, body, and spirit. Hopefully all would go alright as they mentally prepared.

When Lia finishes up, Kaeda steps up to take her turn on challenging the gym.

Floyd

It takes several minutes of waiting, but eventually Ayame is free to talk to.

"Hmm? Oh, Floyd, wasn't it? Glad to see you finally made it here."

Everyone else

"Excellent. In order to challenge the Leader, you must first work your way up the ranks of Gym Trainers, like myself. There are three of us. One for each tier of 'Novice', 'Advanced', and 'Expert' ranks. I will be your first opponent, as I am among the lowest-ranked trainers here. This will be a 3 on 3 match with no trainer contact."
