"I am prepared. Lets go."
Floyd responds with a confident nod, satisfied with the TM's and healing items he'd purchased. Once the pair leave the centre he asks Kaeda a question that'd been on his mind for a while.
"How does your telepathy feel anyway? I don't think anyone has bothered to read my mind before, but I don't think I have anyway to tell if they do. And I don't think lining my armour with foil is any good."
He says, thinking back to the utterly ridiculous conspiracy book that had claimed to hold the secrets of psychic power. Secret Treecko people running the pokemon league? Clefairy run satellites reading your mind from orbit? Black Tropius flying government agents aroudn to cover it all up? Then entire thing had been entertainingly impossible, though there were enough hints scattered within it that he's confident he can defend his mind.

Kaeda tilts her head. "Huh. Never thought of, or tried it before." She tries to make a connection to Floyd.
"Can you hear me? I guess it's like....If you were thinking of what I would say. Like if I spoke normally, but you dont hear it. You think it instead. I'm not to sure how to describe it."

After a (thankfully) uneventful day, Lia goes back to the ranch to chill as she waits to see if Kaeda/Floyd make it back in one day or not. She sits for a while, wondering what to do with her night. She looks at her pokedex next to her, her foot tapping as something in the back of Lia's mind eats away at her. She sighs. "Stupid brain. Alright, lets just... do it."She opens a search option, feeling briefly guilty that she should be looking up stuff for the boat trip, but pushes that aside in favor of her current goal. She begins searching information on humans with powers, before realizing she's bound to find a lot of faked and mis-information considering it's the internet, so she instead tries seeing if Kanto has some sort of expert or maybe a research location. Lia finds links to several shady-looking websites, but disregards these as obvious scams meant to steal your money/information. There are also your standard conspiracy nuts that claim the government is hiding super-powered individuals or some such nonsense. In the end, Lia can't find any real, quantifiable information about people with special abilities; aside from Ninjas and psychics, but their abilities are well-known, even if their origins are secret/mysterious.

All Kaeda hears is music. Dull tedious music echoing off of dull metal. Floyd on the other hand raises an eyebrow as he 'feels' something bounce off the 'mental armour' he'd forged after reading the 'Tinfoil Gospel'

Kaeda gives him a weird look. "Uhhh...I...I really don't know what to tell you Floyd. It's like...It's like you heard it...but you didn't....Eh...I don't know exactly."

Floyd looks back and Kaeda blankly for a few moments before smiling.
"I guess that conspiracy book I read wasn't entirely fake. It had some tips for mental defenses that I used to forge armour for my mind. I'll admit, I wasn't expecting it to work."
He explains, wondering exactly what Kaeda heard to put her off so.

Kaeda shrugs, and continues their walk to the entrance of Mt. Moon. She then sends out her Chandelure, and places her hands on it's warm glass. "Pryo Jack, sweetie, can you light my way through this tunnel please?" It nods, floats forward, and glows brightly. Kaeda then looks to Floyd. "Shall we?"

Floyd blinks and puts away the flashlight he'd just pulled out.
"Onwards and downwards then."
He says, stepping forwards.

Lia rolls her eyes.
"Stupid internet not helping me..."
She thinks for a moment before beginning a two-fold search. She might know ONE person to help her but considering she's dating Kaeda now that might be a bit awkward. She searches first for any powerful psychics, possibly ones that teach younger ones. Failing that, she just searches to see what locations in Kanto might have a large library or maybe a university to visit.

Surprisingly, Lia discovers that a member of the Kanto Elite Four is a powerful Psychic, though obviously they aren't the sort of person you ask for lessons from. Somewhat expectantly, she finds the information about Johto Elite Four Will, who was trained by Former Kanto Gym Leader Sabrina. In fact, Sabrina is said to still live in or around Saffron someplace, and possibly still trains new students, though it's unclear how one would get in on that. Best way to find out seems to be going to Saffron and poking around. That or showing signs of psychic potential.

Lia sighs and goes into her second piece, this path clearly going nowhere with her current searches.

Kaeda and Floyd begin their trek through the mountain. It is quite uneventful for the first few chambers, but Kaeda is able to find a fire stone lying around. She pockets her lucky find, and continues on until they hear some noises coming up ahead of them.
Hostile encounter in Point 17 lvl 1!

The noises turn out to be the screeching of a troop of Infernape! They seem to be either arguing or celebrating. Hard to tell. One of them spots you and screeches out a warning! They fan out to block your path.

Kaeda eyes one of the apes. "Ooo! One of these would be great to have." She sends her chandelure forth to fight them.

Lia makes a mental note that Saffron has two options for her, in the University and the Federal Library. With that done, She begins looking up rental prices for scuba equipment, and possibly other supplies. She'd look up boat rentals but going to the port either here or south in Vermillion to meet the captains in person might be better.

With that information squared away, Lia gets up and heads to the docks. Might as well start asking early.

Kaeda and FloydAs you approach one of the small side rooms along the main path through Mt. Moon, Kaeda points out a strange crack in the wall that looks like it could be shattered with the right application of force. Strangely, Floyd doesn't remember this being here last time, though it was also a pretty trying experience since Vince's head was in the clouds for almost the entire trip, forcing him and Lia to bear the brunt of all Wild attacks. If asked, Floyd's newly evolved Rampardos will happily smash open the wall for you. It doesn't look like doing so will compromise the integrity of the rest of the cave. If you break it open, see the spoiler below. A quick headbutt or two and the way is open! There appears to be some sort of passage leading downward from here, though it's too small and narrow for bigger Pokemon like Rampardos to fit in it. Heading down, you eventually reach a point where its too narrow to walk normally, though you might be able to squeeze through (anyone wearing armor must remove it in order to fit). It's a tight fit, and for a brief moment you fear you may get stuck, but then you manage to push through into a larger, easier to navigate tunnel that ends in a fork. (New position would be between points 3, 4, and 5 on "Basement 1" map linked in the Rules thread.) If you instead have Pyro Jack scout out the crack before breaking it open, it returns after 5 minutes to tell you about what is described above. Lia
You are able to find what you're looking for, including a gruff, but seemingly trustworthy Captain who'll take you out to sea for a reasonable price.

Having Floyd take care of the wall, and after a quick shimmy through the passage, Kaeda pops out on the other side. She has a quick look around with Pyro Jack, then she reassembles her armor piece by piece, and re equips it. Kaeda then looks to Floyd. "Hey, Floyd. How far were we planning to go?"

Floyd starts putting his armour back on as he thinks, trusting Kaeda to keep an eye out for trouble.
"I was intending to go as far as I can. The depths of Rock Tunnel held living fossils, mightier than the pokemon close to the surface and they've proved to be excellent additions to my team. I was thinking Mt Moon would be interesting to explore, especially since we need to wait a while before Lia and I can acquire Mega Stones. So the answer is 'as far as you wish to go', since otherwise I'll keep going until I'm out of supplies and wounded."

Kaeda rubs her neck, and is not to sure about getting to the point of injury. But, she does perk up at the thought of finding some fossil pokemon. That would be a great find. "Heh. All right then. Let's see what is down here then." The pair starts to explore some nearby chambers.
