Arbitrarily deciding to head for Lavender Town rather than back out to Route 9-Cerulean, the party at long last makes their way back outside. By now it is well after dark, and the clock on your Pokedex says that the time is 1:30 AM. Nobody is out on Route 10 right now, as expected. The party makes their way into town to check in at the local Pokemon Center. The Nurse on duty, Jasmine, quickly springs into action when she sees how injured everyone is. It takes at least an hour to get everyone and all their Pokemon healed up, and after that it's off to bed with you all. Clearly no arguments were had about that!

Kaeda was very relieved to finally be back in a center. She handed over any of her pokes that needed medical attention, and took a room to sleep. A nice, long shower is what she really needed. The warm water washed away all the dirt that had been piled on her, and her injuries seemed to melt away for the most part. As she came out, she looked at Orpheus who just kind of sat on the bed looking at nothing. "What are you doing, darling?" The Kirlia looks at her trainer, and just shrugs. She then looks down at her hands. "Come on now...You're not the brooding type. Talk to me." Orpheus avoids eye contact. "In the cave......with the woman...." "*scoff* Oh yeah...What about it?" "....I'm sorry..." "Sorry? For what, dear?" "I couldn't help....I didn't do anything...." She buries her face in her hands. She then feels warmth as arms wrap around her. "Oohhh...Sweetheart, you did nothing wrong." "But I-..." "Don't ever blame yourself for my mistakes, ok?" "I could've-...." Kaeda caresses Orpheus's face, and looks into her now misty eyes. "I love you." She kisses her on the forehead, and hugs her tightly. Tears run down the Kirlia's cheeks, and she smiles. "I love you too..." Kaeda closes her eyes, and smiles. She cannot see that Orpheus begins to glow brighter and brighter. Kaeda feels Orpheus moving around, but opes her eyes as much larger arms wrap around herself. She pulls back a bit to look at her friend, but gasps at what she sees. "O-...Orph-...." The beautiful Gardevoir sitting in front of her smiles sweetly, reaches up to caress Kaeda's face, and gives her a kiss on the forehead. It's Kaeda's turn to cry now.
In the morning, Kaeda, arm in arm with her beautiful companion, walk out to retrieve her other pokemon. She also decides to squeeze in some morning exercise. After all that is done, she comes back into the center, still arms locked Orpheus, and can't wait to show off her beauty to the others. XP Training: Castor, Nemesis, Pyro Jack

Lia sleeps like a rock! Anyone unfortunate to sleep near her hears LOUD snoring. Give her a break, people, it's been a hell of a day. When she wakes up, sore as all hell, she heads out, thankful that at least this gym she won't be tempted to join in on the combat, cause it's not an option. Although that creates new issues, she's got a very 'weak to electricity' lineup. That's what happens when you work for the Water Gym, afterall. Eschewing morning training herself, she trains everybody in the morning, thinking about who to bring.
Going to assume that we need at least three in this gym. Skala is a given, thanks to his ground typing. Thanks again for that, Dan. I'd not like to lean on Scier for every gym, she shouldn't have to do all the work... WAIT WHAT-
Lia double-takes as she releases Halas out for training. The Froakie seemed to have evolved at the Ranch! Seemed the bubble-throwing frog had done his own training!
"Well shoot you got impatient, Halas."
The frog nods excitedly before hopping over and licking it's trainer on the face. While Lia's busy dealing with the slime, Halas begins changing to the ghost-type to match the attack it just did!
"Ugh, Halas, really- WAIT A MINUTE WHY ARE YOU SEE THROUGH- Wait a minute. Are you..."
She smiles a Cheshire-like smile.
"Are you using the hax?"
The Frogadier tilts it's head in confusion.
"Yeah, you are. Mere!"
Lia scoops up Halas and lets Scier finish directing everyone's morning exercises. She hefts the frog over her shoulder and goes to teach Halas some new moves to use with his new ability.
After some time, Lia returns with her new secret weapon, and shes beaming as Scier floats over.
"Scier, I think we may be better off than I thought. Halas here gonna move up to the main roster!"
She pats him on the chest, and Halas still seems confused but smiles happily anyway. Lia goes to return everyone else but Scier. They head back over when Lia spies Kaeda looking rather smug, and then the reason why, a Gardevoir on her arm. She does a double take of pure shock.

Kaeda spots Lia, and heads over to her. "Good morning, Lia. I can tell by your face that you are mesmerized by the most beautiful pokemon in the world. Yes, this is my lovely Orpheus. She evolved last night, and I'm soooo proud! You know she was my first pokemon, right. I got her when....w-when she wasss....j-just thiiisss biiigg...." Kaeda starts getting misty eyed, and breaking down. "A-a-and now....*sniff* She's....WWWAAAHHHHHH!!" She hugs Orpheus tightly, and sobs. The lovely Gardevoir sighs, smiles, and rubs Kaeda's back.

Scier looms at Lia like 'are you geing serious right now?'
Lia blushes as her really bad attempt to hide the fact she is jealous that Kaeda has such a pretty pokemon was obviously found out. She coughs akwardly but it seems Kaeda doesn't even notice now. Seeing her connection with her pokemon gives Lia an idea.
"Hey um Kaeda, I got a request for you. I'll have to be going back later to the Gym, and I'm too hurt to take on the Vermillion one anyway. But before I go I want you to take a pokemon of mine. I caught a Butterfree a bit ago but I don't think I'll ever use it and I hate having pokemon just sit there in the ranch. And obviously you care for your pokemon...

Kaeda sniffles, and wipes her eyes. "Geez you just barely got back...Well whatever." She perks up at Lia offering a pokemon. She blinks. "Huh? A Butterfree? Why, yes. I would absolutely love, and take care of it. You can trust me with your pokemon. I do take good care of Iactis whom belonged to Floyd."

Lia hands the pokeball of the butterfree over.
"I'm glad you will, and yeah I've seen you using Lactis as well. And her name is Proszek. But yeah, I got a job at the gym in Cerulean. I'm not leaving right NOW but I'm waiting on a Tropius egg to hatch and once that's flight capable it should make it easier. (Maybe I need to fix my days a bit, worked better when we were still in the city) But yeah I can stay in Lavender for a while then catch a bus back up north."

Kaeda nods along, and presses the button on the ball. Out pops a magnificent Butterfree. It flies, and looks around at the two girls. "Hello there! I'm Keada. I'm very happy to meet you." It tilts its head, and looks her over. As it comes closer, Kaeda pets its head, and looks into its giant eyes. It seems to warm up to her a bit more. "Oh Lia she is beautiful. Thank you." It flies around a bit more, and settles down on Keada's shoulder. It flutters its wings, and gives little chirps to Lia, possibly saying bye.

Kaeda waves, and then taps her chin in thought. "I do have some just sitting at the ranch...And, I have been on the look for a few certain pokemon to own for myself." She nods, and takes two pokemon from storage: her Drifloon, and Geodude. She then heads outside to find some willing trade partners.

Before going to sleep Floyd posts Solum the Bagon, Cordus the Zweilous and Insideo the Zweilous on the GTS, looking for a Snubbull, Bronzor and Pawniard respectively.
Rolling Charm, as Floyd is being straight up

Kaeda is easily able to smooth-talk her way into getting what she wants.
Lia manages to successfully trade her Bisharp for a Larvesta, but the second person she tries to trade with is nonplussed by her attempts at pushing them into offering up a Croagunk for a Cubone. Instead they offer a Roselia.
Due to his offer of a highly-coveted Dragon Type, Floyd's fumbling attempts at charm go unnoticed and Trainer #1 happily gives him a Snubbull for Bagon. Trainer #2 offers Mightyena instead of what Floyd wanted, and #3 gives Floyd a slightly weaker Pawniard that is more likely to listen to him.

Lia accepts her trades and heads back after swapping in the Roselia in her team. She waits for the others to get around/wake up.

Kaeda has also returned after doing some trading. She also sets up her team for what she might be using upon reaching the Vermilion Gym.

Vincent woke up feeling refreshed and much better. His injuries from that fight with the massive creature had healed thanks to Nurse Jasmine's help. Seeing as how he'd woken up late again and everyone had left him behind, Vincent decided to get some training in. Boy, was he in for a surprise. When he released all of his Pokemon into a field, what greeted him was not a small Zorua but a tall and lanky Zoroark. Vincent was shocked speechless while Calypso preened under the attention of the whole team. "Cal... you evolved." Vincent seemed to have gained a gift for pointing out the obvious. Calypso just looked at him happily, though she couldn't resist taking his form briefly to show him exactly what he looked like that moment. "That's... awesome!" Vincent hadn't been quite this jubilant since Machiavelli had evolved. "Let's find ourselves a good battle soon to test out your new strength, ok?" Vincent moves closer to Calypso and pets her fur softly, running his fingers through her mane. Calypso leans into his rare touch. He eventually withdraws and training commences. While training, he considers that he hasn't used some of his Pokemon in a long time, and some not at all. Perhaps they could find better homes with people willing to battle with them? He doesn't know that this line of thinking echoes what the rest of the team was doing. With this in mind, he puts up his Liepard, Ryker, and yet unnamed Primeape up for trades. The parting with Ryker was a little difficult for Vincent, but he managed it just fine. Vincent's Team is Brutal and Focused and all receive EXP Training.

Vincent does his best to up-sell his Primeape and Liepard, but it doesn't go as well as planned. He gets offers, but not necessarily anything he'd want.
For Liepard, Ace Trainer Sampson will offer a Whirlipede.
For Primeape, he will offer a Gloom.

Floyd rejects the offer of the Mightyena and accepts the others, showing up to the pokemon centre with Daisy the Snubbull at his side, who's cheerfully snapping at passing flowers, butterflies and imaginary faries.
"Morning all. What comes next?" He says simply.

It is basically an adoption center. I don't know about you, but giving a poor pokemon some love seems nice. Then, there is Pokemon Tower. That place...has quite the history, but could be interesting."

"This is Daisy. I traded Solus for her." Floyd says, nudging the pink bulldog towards Lia. Daisy immediately abandons all pretenses of disinterest and runs forwards, dancing around Lia and nipping at her fingers.
"I can think of no worthier cause than paying our respects to the living and the dead Kaeda. After yesterday we could all use a break." He says to Kaeda, smiling at her.
He then blinks and speaks as something occurs to him. "Solus was the Bagon by the way."
