The party leaves D'Mara's campsite, heading around to another dead-end tunnel. Once inside, their light reveals an astonishing sight: Dozens of those things that Lia didn't know about until just now. All crawling around on the ceilings and walls and such. When the light reaches them, they all freeze for a moment, then several just sort of materialize from the ground, cackling in a really creepy manner with their sharp, pointy little teeth.
"Sy..." one of them whispers to another
"..Kata.." the other agrees.
You don't know what they're saying, but the looks on their faces combined with their body language indicates not only hostility, but the actions of a predator. Looks like you've been invited to dinner... and you're on the menu!
(See group battle map again and determine your opening Pokemon salvo.)

Kaeda breaths a large sigh of relief as the monstrosity goes down. She pets Nemesis, and recalls her. "Well then...That was quite the experience wasn't it?" She looks over at an unconscious Lia. "....Pfft! Haha!" She tosses out Orpheus, and pets her head. "Darling, would you mind helping out, please?" The Kirlia smiles and after glowing for a few seconds, sends a healing pulse towards Lia. Kaeda then picks up her lovable partner, and looks down at her not so lovable friend. "Nice of you to join us."

Floyd is silent, watching Telum as the Magnemite glows and starts to evolve. Once the shiny new Magneton floats over to him he smiles and tilts Telum's visor up.
"We'll have to get 2 more of these made." Floyd muses before looking at the others and smiling.
"Now that was a battle to remember. Vince, do you want the pokemon I captured?"

Before she even had a chance to recall Flare, who had been launched backward from a second and even more devastating attack, the monster had seemed to enter in a rage before unleashing stronger attacks against everyone. That included a strike against her. Lia hit the ground, unmoving again until she feels some magical healing bring her back from the brink. She looks up and sees Keada and her Kirlia looking over her. She lifts herself up, not forgetting poor Flare, and recalls him.
"Great. And now I guess I owe you one. Cooooool."
She looks over to the unconscious super-mutant Sableye.
"Oh hey we won. Whoo. (Would have been better if I had 'seen' the end of the fight, but I guess this is just the shit I gotta deal with.)"
She looks to Kaeda.
"As long as you are trying to help me, can I borrow a pokeball?"

Kaeda raises an eyebrow. "Having you in debt doesn't sound so bad. Hm? Sorry got no more balls. Used my last one to catch one of those creatures."

Lia catches the ball, and taps it against her own head, wincing, waiting for something to happen.
"Uh wait."
She taps it again.
"Lia return!"
She frowns as it doesn't work.
"Well shit I gotta take my bruised self outta here then."
Lia throws the ball back.

Vince gets a somewhat hopeful look on his face. He'd been rather disappointed that he wasn't able to catch any of them. "I'd love to have one, Floyd," he says.

"Let me know if you see a Skarmory or Honedge or something." Floyd says to Vincent as he picks up and tosses him the ball he caught the Sykata in.
He than looks at Lia and grins.
"Come on Lia, everyone knows you can't catch yourself. You have to have someone else do it." He says, before flicking the ball she returned to him back at her, bouncing it off of her head and catching it on the rebound.
"Or not." He says and frowns. "A pity. I as looking forwards to having a fighting/flying type."

The battered and bruised party trudges their way back up to level 2, then level 1 of Rock Tunnel. It's been little more than an hour or two since they originally came down, but the stress must have caused them to lose track of which way they came in. The party ends up stumbling into a horde of Pupitar!
