Adventure Thread - Group A

Lia sits there for an unreasonably long time after the two playful pokemon leave. Fully emotionally broken at this point, a few tears finally stream out. She tosses her pokeball belt aside, and normally Scier would be out with her, but she hasn't even called her best friend out since her battle with the upgrader earlier. She can't even face her, considering she knows Scier was trying to warn her.

She can't face her Chimecho, or any of her team right now. Or Vincent, Floyd or Maxine. Add Aleisandra and the Gym Trainers to that list as well.

So what now, Lia?

She looks back down to where she was headed. Saffron. Regardless of how much she might have needed the emotional brick wall that was a couple of playful Eevee, she can't think right now. If she needs to push forward, re-asses how she fights, or just quit and move home; she's got no idea. All this doubt and pain needs to be kept at bay or she can't do anything.

She's going to destroy that Gym in Saffron. Then she'll figure out what to do. She wipes her eyes, picks up her belt, snaps it back in place, and keeps walking.

Vincent heads to the Pokemon Center to heal up his Pokemon, then looks for another fight. He can practically feel Vel's evolution already.

For Mothim, Maxine manages to acquire a Pumpkaboo!

Pumpkaboo - level 32, Male, Naughty, with Frisk and Insomnia.

Anyone who encounters Maxine this evening finds her a bit downtrodden over her loss at the hands of the Gym's Gym Trainer. She didn't even make it to the Leader. She intends to try again tomorrow, but tonight she is letting herself feel the loss.

New day. Maxine's attitude is better. She's raring to try the Gym again today. But certain daily things need to be taken care of first.

Last night, she got a Pinap Berry from Tropius. Today, she sends out Aipom and Chimchar, her scavenger monkeys, and they return with TM 10 - Hidden Power (Shareables Thread) and a Rindo Berry.

Pancham and Octillery will be receiving training today. Maxine calls Vincent and sets up a meeting right away, explaining that Pancham is totally ready to evolve and just needs to train with a couple of Pokémon from his team. Assuming he accepts, Pancham evolves into Pangoro!

She then flies to Route 01 on Tropius to scout it for dropped items, finding an X Speed before returning to Cerulean. She sells the Rindo Berry, the X Speed, and an X Defense that she already had for $600. She uses $380 of that to buy a Super Potion and pockets the remaining $220.

With all that done, she goes ahead and heads to the Gym to give it another shot.

Lia

You head over to the Saffron Gym, ready and eager to bust some heads. Once inside, you see many different martial artists and their fighting-type pokemon training with one another as black-belt instructors call out commands to switch up tactics or opponents. A person in an official-looking blue-purple gi waves you over.

"You must be new in town, as I don't seem to recall having seen you around before. What are you here for, classes, gym challenge, or something else?"

Maxine

After a quick trip over to Route 1 for item searching, and some scavenger monkey shenanigans, you head into the Gym once again. Unlike last night, the Gym is bustling today, with many a Gym Trainer or would-be challenger battling it out in the various water arenas. You notice that guy Drew from last night is already busy with another challenger. In fact, most of the Trainers seem occupied at the moment. Must be one of those days where the latest influx of newbie trainers come by to test their skills and try to earn a badge. You also happen to spot someone who seems out of place here. A red-haired woman in a leather outfit seems to be reclining on the sidelines, watching the fights. No Gym Trainers appear to be available at this time, and there even seems to be a line forming for who gets to fight them next.

The dark-haired girl looks you over.

"Hm. Two badges and you're here for the Gym Challenge? Most don't even make the attempt until they have at least 4 or 5. Still, no harm in allowing you to try. If you can defeat one of my Pokemon, I'll allow you to challenge our Gym Trainers."

Once Vincent returned to the Pokemon Center to get his Pokemon healed, he also informed the nurse of the unconscious girl that he'd managed to lose to. He left the retrieval of the girl to whomever the nurse decided to call and went to his room to sleep.

In the morning, Vincent received a call from Maxine and met up with her. He allows her Pancham to train with his Dark-types resulting in his evolution to Pangoro. Pancham isn't the only Pokemon to evolve this morning though. Machiavelli, or "Vel" also finally evolved. The training as well as some helpful tips Vincent got from a Dark-type Study Manual helped push the Pokemon over the edge and into its next evolutionary stage.

Thinking on what to do next as Maxine heads to the gym, Vincent eventually settles on seeing how Floyd and Lia are doing. He hasn't even seen them for over a day now, so it would be prudent of him to talk to them.

It doesn't take long for Vincent to find Floyd. "Hello, Floyd," Vincent greets his friend. "It's been a bit since we last saw each other. What have you been up to? Also, have you heard from Lia? I think she hasn't been doing so well since that battle with the Queen."
